Cartoon: Ben Carson's blunderful world

http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2015/11/13/1447701/-Cartoon-Ben-Carson-s-blunderful-world?detail=email

Ben Carson has a zany theory about the pyramids. Even if you interpret everything in the Bible literally, you have to make some pretty giant leaps to get the idea that Joseph built the pyramids to store the Pharaoh’s grain. But facts aren’t really important to anybody running for the Republican nomination.
i really hope the majority of the electorate is noticing the caliber of persons the republicans and their minority electorate put on top of their heap of would be presidential seat warmers.  do we really want the likes of Trump or Carson or any of their least favorites in position to create more wars and obstruction?  we know what they haven't done with congress add the WH to that and we get a recipe of even more gridlock and infighting.

conservatives, libertines, tea people, moderates all with different agendas where is the cohesive gov't when the party seeking to be that gov't can agree on 2 sugars and cream??????????  totally dismissing the idea of gov't of, for and by the people embrace false statements by those founding guys and ignoring the real intent.

Ben Carson Can’t Name Even One Ally Of The United States – Asked Many Times (VIDEO)

This just earned him the new tagline “Carson-in-Chief.” A Carson-in-Chief is different than a Commander-in-Chief. You see, one doesn’t know anything about leading a country or the armed forces, and the other, well, does. One example of a Commander-in-Chief is Barack Obama. Carson should look him up and study what makes him so successful. First, though, he should google “allies of the United States.”
i watched this today he failed time after time to answer any questions i was worst the Palin and the no name magazines because he supposedly has an education.  it reminded me of the other token republican candidate 2012 Herman Cain and his most ridiculous response to foreign leaders and who they were.  or his oop's moment

SNL’s Hysterical Reenactment Of ‘Young Ben Carson’ Is Absolute Perfection (VIDEO)

some kids have visions of sugar plumbs dancing in their heads others grow up to be republican

Aside from the debunked claim that Carson got a scholarship to West Point, Carson’s tall tales about his so-called “violent past” have become the butt of numerous jokes. Two particular instances from Carson’s recollection of himself as a young angry teen have attracted the most ridicule.
One was when he stabbed a friend in the belt buckle and the knife allegedly broke, and the other was when he tried to attack his mother with a hammer. In fact, Carson claims he was extremely troubled until an act of divine intervention saved him and changed his life. Saturday Night Live picked out these ridiculous events from Carson’s version of his past, and did a spot-on impression of how it probably would have went down – if any of it was true.
It seems ridiculous and over-the-top, but SNL’s version is only following exactly what Carson has described as his earlier years! In the clip, we’re given a run-down of every crazy thing Carson has said or claimed. From the violent attacks to his thoughts of evolution and the pyramids, to Carson’s visit from black Jesus and the selfies the Republican candidate has in his house, SNL found the perfect way to show just how crazy Carson’s stories are.
as crazy as they are this skit saddens me because it shows the character of those who would find him a plausible candidate for president.  just a quick heads up we've all seen the movies where the homicidal maniac was quiet and subdued you know what they say "t's always the quiet ones".
picture him running through the congress at a bad State of the Union Address stabbing and bludgeoning with a knife and hammer on the republican side of course would that be there own fault being as though he's their token???????

Thousands Of Mormons Resign From Church Over LGBT Discrimination (VIDEO)

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2015/11/15/mormon-mass-exodus/

On Saturday, thousands of people gathered in Salt Lake City, Utah to officially end their affiliation with the Church of Latter-day Saints, amidst multiple controversies surrounding LGBT rights. More than 2,500 people gathered together to celebrate the occasion. Approximately 1,500 requests to leave the church were filed, with 2,000 more still waiting to be processed.
“We’ve actually had participation nationally in our event,” organizer Lauren Elise McNamara told ABC News 4. “On our online event people have RSVP’d internationally and have been posting pictures of when they been taking theirs to the mailbox all week.”
While the rest of the United States has begun to finally embrace LGBT equality, the Church of LDS has created new rules that target LGBT people and their children. Under the new rules the church will disavow all same-sex marriages and children of same-sex couples are forbidden from being baptized.
“After all the years of different policy changes and people excluding people for not believing the same things, I’ve just never had a strong balance.  I don’t want my records anymore,” said Misty McGinnis, who officially left the church.
The Church of Latter-day Saints has a long history of discriminating against minority groups. For example, black men were not allowed to become priests until June 1978. That rule was written by the successor to church founder Joseph Smith, Bingham Young in 1852, when he decreed “Any man having one drop of the seed of Cane in him cannot hold the priesthood.”
This is wonderful news for all those who are concerned about LGBT equality. The more people stand up to this type of discrimination the better.
these prejudices have been around forever but now people are opening both eyes ans seeing that intolerance has no religious value and is not taught by Jesus.  evangelicals are running from their charlatan's twisting of the word all major religions are losing membership do to the churches position mostly on intolerance  in direct contradiction with Jesus.  this is good for those who really believe but will they now be able to accept they have been misled and seek salvation from God not by Elmer Gantry types in for what they can get

Sarah Palin: Bristol Is Pregnant Again Because God Gives People 3rd, 4th, 5th Chances (VIDEO)

Sarah Palin: Bristol Is Pregnant Again Because God Gives People 3rd, 4th, 5th Chances (VIDEO)

Sarah Palin and her daughter Bristol love to tout the importance of abstaining from sex until marriage. Of course, infamously, the hypocritical Bristol got pregnant at the age of 17, and is no longer with her son Tripp’s father, Levi. Further, she is at the end of a second pregnancy. Again, there is no husband. None of this would matter if the Palins didn’t make literal careers of moralizing on the lives of others regarding this very subject. Well, mommy Sarah has the perfect explanation for all of it: God.
The interview in Palin’s home state of Alaska with CBS’s Tracy Smith began with flashbacks to Palin’s many stumbles in her failed vice presidential run. Then, it turned to present struggles, including Bristol’s plight as a single mom.
When Bristol’s second pregnancy was brought up, Sarah Palin tried to explain away her family’s hypocrisy. Smith said to Palin:
“Bristol is pregnant again. That can’t be how you saw this playing out, unmarried and pregnant again.”
wonder what the evangelicals think about this, she says it's a 2nd thru 5th chance but to do what,  do they refer to her by all the derogatory names that they use on other religions doing this out of wedlock???????   Palin calls them chances where i;m from they would call her something else.

Lindsey Graham: 'There's A 9/11 Coming' After Paris

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/lindsey-graham-911-isis-paris-attacks_5648a37ee4b08cda3489353b

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Sunday that "there's a 9/11 coming" after the Paris terror attacks and called for 10,000 American troops on the ground in Iraq and Syria to help fight the Islamic State.
"I'm trying to protect America from another 9/11, and without American boots on the ground in Syria and Iraq, we're going to get hit here at home," Graham, a candidate for the GOP presidential nomination, told Jake Tapper on CNN's "State of the Union." "And if you don't understand that, you're not ready to be commander-in-chief, in my view."
A White House official said Sunday that there is no clear threat to the U.S. at this time, though it is clear the militant group wants to launch an attack on U.S. soil.
"If we don't do these things soon, what you've seen in Paris is coming to America," Graham said.
Graham and other Republicans running for president have called on the White House to develop a more urgent military strategy for dealing with ISIS. Not all have been as hawkish as Graham, however.
Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) said Sunday the U.S. needs to launch more airstrikes against ISIS, but came up short of advocating for sending a certain number of ground troops to the region right now. He said America's Sunni allies need to lead the fight.
"I think it’s premature to say the exact numbers," Rubio said on ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos," when asked specifically about ground troops. "The best fighters on the ground are proving to be the Kurds, and to some extent the Sunni tribes who are autonomous, but we’re not directly supporting them. So that needs to begin to happen.
"We also have to get our Sunni allies in the region more involved in this fight," Rubio went on. "The only way to ultimately defeat ISIS is for them to be defeated ideologically and militarily, by the Sunnis themselves."
rare moment Rubio makes sense remember these guys like Graham don't have access to same info as Pres. they are doing nothing but armchair quarterbacking they don't know which way is up or what the WH is doing but they demand to know in one breath then one gets a moment of reality and says they would be telegraphing their moves which was never an unknown they also know that Sunni's and others are not going to fight as long as we stay and do it for them.

this dodging the question about boots on the ground as to how many tells us they haven't a clue they are just promoting war and ginning up their base that they are going to kill their selected enemy all Muslims they'll say it's not but the message their base gets is all inclusive they are still attacking and vandalizing Mosque and using that broad brush reference of Islamic Terrorist to mean all Muslims.

Carson there should never be a Muslim in the WH not to many years ago Whites were saying there should never be a Black in the WH and here he is defying his own party's manifesto which was said out of racial hate his statement more of the same from the same party.

i say give them weapons and a pat on the back if they man up then we help with boots if not we protect ourselves we have allies that are also content to let us lead because it doesn't cost them nothing.  for us being the big boy in a foreign country leads to dissent and longer confrontations republicans know that and it fits their agenda perfectly war is what they are all about but there is to benefit for us just those who can take advantage of natural resources and global positioning which is just another staple of more war recognize.

Diplomats Invoke Plan For Joint Action In Syria

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/diplomats-invoke-plan-for-joint-action-in-syria_564794b5e4b060377349598e

VIENNA (AP) — Invoking the need for joint action after the terrorist attacks on Paris, foreign ministers of nearly 20 nations agreed Saturday to an ambitious yet incomplete plan for bringing peace to Syria and ending its role as a breeding ground for ISIS and other radical Islamic groups.
Countries such as Iran and Saudi Arabia, which support different sides in the conflict, put aside their dispute to condemn the bombings and shootings that left at least 123 people in the French capital dead Friday. So did Moscow and Washington.
Standing next to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov ahead of Saturday's full ministerial meeting, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry called the attacks "the most vile, horrendous, outrageous, unacceptable acts on the planet". He said they "encouraged us today to do even harder work to make progress and to help resolve the crises that we face."
"The events in Paris underscore the threat that Daesh poses to all of us," he later told reporters, referring by an alternate name to ISIS, which claimed responsibility for the Paris terror spree. Kerry spoke in French for part of his post-meeting remarks, in a bow to the victims of those attacks.
The plan presented by the two appeared to draw heavily on a recently circulated Russian initiative. With just two weeks elapsed since the Syria talks first convened, it could mark a significant advance, if successful.
It sets a Jan. 1 deadline for the start of negotiations between President Bashar Assad's government and opposition groups. Lavrov said the Syrian government already had put forward its representatives, with the U.N. special envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, to begin immediate work on determining who should sit at the table as part of the opposition team.
Within six months, the negotiations between the Syrian sides are to establish "credible, inclusive and non-sectarian" transitional government that would set a schedule for drafting a new constitution and holding a free and fair U.N.-supervised election within 18 months, according to a joint statement released by the United Nations on behalf of the 19 parties to the talks.
But holes remained.
While the diplomats agreed on a U.N.-administered cease fire enforcement mechanism they failed to reach consensus on which groups other than the Islamic State and al-Qaida affiliates would not be eligible for the truce. Under the terms, the sponsoring countries of each group covered by the cease fire would be responsible for making sure that group upholds it.
now we need to prepare for the traitorous antics of the republicans bad mouthing maybe even sending more letters certainly a meeting with their right wing constituent Netanyahu to oppose the plan but this is the difference between republican holding space i the WH and Dems participating not taking a lead that always seems to put us in the jackpot with more sponsoring and blood all so right wing can lay claims to the spoils of war that is what leading is to them dibs on whatever is there bringing in 20 other nations not only takes the weight off us but prevents the republican skulduggery from ever happening to many eyes would be on them.

we don't have to lead we don't have to be first we just need to be part those kinda us first ideal is one of the reasons we are hated and nobody likes someone intruding on their lives not even the republicans that are trying to do it still, look how hard they have fought to deny us healthcare and social nets why because it intrudes on their way on control and they hate Dems for it get my drift??????????

Marco Rubio Wants More Anti-ISIS Propaganda

On Sunday, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) tried to distinguish his policy by calling for, among other things, better propaganda.
“Key to the success of this is we’re going to have to conduct an increased number of special operations attacks, targeting ISIS leadership, and revealing that they are not invincible,” Rubio told ABC’s “This Week.” “In essence, subjecting them to high-profile, humiliating defeats, where we strike them, we capture or kill their leaders, we videotape the operations, we publicize them, because this is a group that heavily uses propaganda to attract fighters and donors from around the world. And they are presenting themselves as this invincible force, and we need to cut off that narrative. It isn’t true. And that’s important.”
A stronger PR operation against ISIS isn’t some superficial proposal. The group recruits heavily online in addition to publicizing its brutality with glitzy videos. For some time, the Pentagon has warned that they’re losing the online propaganda war.
But the emphasis on this front by Rubio also underscores how limited the degrees of difference are between the major presidential candidates and the president when it comes to fighting ISIS. Rubio’s proposals on Sunday were to work more closely with allies (in his case, Sunni tribes in Iraq and Kurdish fighters); beef up airstrikes (by launching them from Iraq instead of Turkey); conduct more special operation attacks; and encourage regional actors to carry the load. All are enhancements of the Obama strategy, in essence.
doing this IMO only heightens to resolve to kill more and torture more Americans they have yet to figure out that bad mouthing and bad boy persona's only encourage an enemy to show they are badder and more effective.  that's like telling some one you will kill them the next time you see them then turn your back and end up being the one who is killed, bluster is not a tactic it's a incitement.  i will forever believe the Benghazi attack was spirited by the bigoted disrespect of evangelicals of the Muslim God, republicans deny it but they protest too much

they have nothing so they perjure Pres.'s plans and change a words or two and voila a brand new plan from republicans just littered with Pres.'s fingerprints.  there are no plans that have not been done before they sit and wait and bash until we release a plan the usurp it and create it as their own Frankenstein idea built of other ideas just none seem to be theirs.

Pres. took some of their older ideas made them work and they disavowed them i guess because though it was their idea they couldn't get it to work.  if they were smart they would have embraced them and made it known it was their plan first but once Pres. took them serious they dropped them like they were hot.

The horrific terrorist attack yesterday in Paris has struck at all our hearts.  We’ve had our differences with France as we’ve had differences with any friend, but today we mourn for those who fell victim to the cowardly attacks of  fanatics, and we stand solidly with the French people as they work through their grief.
But make no mistake, there will be a military response to these attacks, and America will be with the French in this response.  The only question is, what type of response will it be, and what part will the U.S. play?  Will our part be an Iraq style attack in Syria, or will it be a support role?
Imagine if we had a President McCain, or Rubio, or Carson, or Bush…  If we had a President McCain, we would already be deep in Syria dealing with IED’s, ambushes, collateral damage…  If we had any of the clowns in todays GOP clown car, I believe we would soon be going very heavily into Syria.  But we are extremely fortunate that we don’t have the clowns, we actually have an adult in the White House.
Sadly, President Obama will have to respond to the terrorists, the only question is how?  The French will have to make a direct response and we will have to assist them in every way possible.  I’m afraid we are going to see U.S. boots on the ground in Syria.  But unlike a large scale invasion force, which I believe any of the GOP candidates would do, I think President Obama will think through this carefully and we’ll end up with more special forces and support troops somewhere near Syria.  Surgical strikes when possible will become the new norm.
As long as there are religious fanatics who are happy to give their lives in their twisted desire to murder innocents for their cause, the civilized world will have to prevent any nation from harboring those fanatics.  Throughout human history there has been a constant battle between civilization and barbarism.  But the technology of today has elevated that barbarian with a knife or a sword to a barbarian with a kalashnikov and an exploding vest.  As technology advances, the dispersion of barbaric propaganda allows for better recruitment for their twisted cause, and increases their ability to inflict havoc on civilized societies around the world.
The great armies of the 20th century fighting epic battles across continents, are of little use against the fanaticism we see in the middle east today.  It will take a cool head and reasoned thought to use the limited but effective force that will keep the barbarians at bay.  We will not defeat the fanatics until they abandon their philosophy of fanaticism, but we can hope to contain them while civilization in the rest of the world moves forward.
But a cowboy attitude with flexing muscles can play into the hands of the fanatics and take our nation down a path that leads to a massive increase in more active fanaticism, just as we saw in 2003.   And the U.S. can not afford to waste another $2 Trillion in a futile effort to fight the problems of the 21st century with the antiquated military tactics of the 20th century.
So yes, I am thankful we have President Obama’s cool head that will be making the VERY difficult decisions that lie ahead in the coming months.  And if you don’t think voting is critical to our very survival, sit back and imagine the U.S. response if any of the current GOP candidates were occupying the White House today.

The attack in Paris has caused a tsunami of stupid among conservatives on Twitter.  Without further ado:
the tweets are in the article and notice they aren't the kind of things you say to an ally after they are attacked and suffer lives loss.  and they think they can get those people to sit at a table and take them seriously,  it shows a party totally incapable of compassion or even a kind word.   they need to folow that old rule "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything".

note there's a not so subtle jab at Pres. by michelle malkin, so much hate and crap comes out of her mouth.  i remember the first time i saw her i thought she was attractive than she opened her mouth and proved beauty's only skin deep but in her case it's only when she is quiet. along with her stable mate coulter.

Poll: Trump Jumps 17 Points Among Likely GOP Voters, Well Ahead Of Carson

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/donald-trump-reuters-poll-snl-debate

Wddwarjd4q6onbwfi9qo

A new poll finds Donald Trump surging well above his chief 2016 rival Ben Carson after week that included a Saturday Night Live appearance and a GOP debate.
Forty-two percent of likely GOP voters supported Trump in a five-day rolling poll released Friday by Reuters/Ipsos, up from 25 percent last week. Carson was also polling around 25 percent last week and his support among GOP voters has since dipped slightly.
Meanwhile, Sen. Marco Rubio's support among primary voters has remained level at 10 percent, despite a debate performance that was cheered by establishment Republicans.
Trump is also clearly leading the field among Republicans in general, claiming 34 percent of all Republicans in the sample to Carson's 20 percent.
The results of the five-day rolling Reuters/Ipsos poll was based on a sample of 534 Republican voters; 257 voters made up like likely primary voter sample pool.

note the grimace is gone from his face could it be those right wing polls show him not being beaten by the Black guy any longer??????????  was Carson's tales of terror during his gangsta years just too much even for the blood thirsty right wing base there was another BINO token "house "n" that was too much too Allen West  he got kicked out of congress the military and his republican District,

Ann Coulter Goes On Racist Bender Following Paris Attacks; Shills For Trump (TWEETS)

For most of the world, Friday night’s terror in Paris was agonizing and traumatic. On social media, people began organizing blood drives, arranging for shelter for those caught in danger, and millions tweeting things like “Nous sommes tous Parisiens” – we are all Parisians. President Obama expressed a similar sentiment in his address following the attacks.
“Once again, we’ve seen an outrageous attempt to terrorize innocent civilians,” he said. “This is an attack not just on Paris, it’s an attack not just on the people of France, but this is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values that we share.”
Not everyone was feeling the spirit of shared humanity, however. Conservative pundits spent the night shamelessly exploiting the tragedy to further their talking points. And whenever there is an opportunity to “shamelessly exploit a tragedy,” Ann Coulter can’t be far behind. Sure enough, it took her no time at all to come up with obnoxious talking points and hurl hateful xenophobia – even while the attacks were still happening.
there are tweets in the article that are shamelessly devoid of a gnat's crap worth of empathy for other human beings just a punchline for the right wing and their pundits those who support that should have to experience what they find so humorous than come back and laugh about it or demean the experience. those who would lead and support this should be tarred feathered and dropped off in the middle east with a body a face camera fixed and non removable and let us in on the joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somewhere in between stupid and batsh*t crazy is where you can find the American conservative. Only in America could a terrorist attack halfway across the globe turn into an American issue. As the world joins the French in mourning their lost, American conservatives are concerned with only three things: Impeaching President Obama (for some reason); blatant racism primarily aimed at brown-skinned people (for some reason); and of course, The Second Amendment.
An article published by the right-wing propaganda mill Breitbart brought out some of the worst America has to offer. Conservative numbskull Mark Levin decided it would be a good idea to write about the tragedy in France from the angle of closing American borders, sending the wingnuts into a frenzy of stupidity that is nothing short of a national embarrassment.
Yes, the next time you see an ISIS terrorist about to detonate a bomb after mowing down innocent people with an assault weapon you should fire many salvos of bullets rather than running away. The Second Amendment and your .45 will save us all from coordinated terrorist attacks for sure!
many more with author comments in article republicans never saw a story no matter how unrelated the didn't spin as Pres.'s guilt, even all the ones they themselves committed.

For White America, Black Protesters Never Do it Right

http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2015/11/12/1449360/-For-White-America-Black-Protesters-Never-Do-it-Right?detail=email

Mizzou.jpg

In the wake of protests in Baltimore and Ferguson, the prevailing refrain from White America was consistent. While especially contemptible cretins described protesters as animals and used racially-charged language to paint their picture, many white folks from the more reasonable reaches of society bemoaned the violent nature of the black protests.
“But why do they have to light things on fire?” you might have seen. “What good is rioting and looting?” It wasn’t the cause that bothered those detractors, just the methodology marshaled in support of the cause. These were white folks, many of them liberal, who wanted you to believe that if protesters had just conducted themselves with a little bit of that white class, White America might have lent its undying support rather than standing up for the innocent business owners caught in the war zone.
With this in mind, you might have expected White America to respond with glee when a group of black students at the University of Missouri decided to use peaceful means of coercion to get across their points. No, these students weren’t burning cop cars or throwing trash cans through the front window of a storefront. They were creating online coalitions, taking pictures, enlisting the help of college football players, and going on hunger strikes. They were using their right to peaceful assembly to demand answers from a college president who seemed at a loss for how to deal with mounting racial tension on his campus.
They were, in essence, doing precisely what White America had asked of the protesters a few hours away in Ferguson.
Imagine their surprise when they learned that White America had a new complaint. These black students were too sensitive and too demanding. Their peaceful actions, it seems, are ruining college atmospheres which, if you believe White America, are defined by the ability of students to offer race-based hate speech with impunity. In Ferguson and in Baltimore, black protesters showed precisely what’s wrong with America by refusing to act peacefully in the face of centuries of intentional and systematic oppression. In Columbia, Missouri, they were guilty of another misstep — carrying too far the baton of political correctness.
It’s in this that we see confirmation of what many knew in the wake of Baltimore. Those detractors—the people primarily concerned with the poor, oppressed CVS storefronts—were never sincere in their critiques. They never disagreed with only the tactics, and their support could never have been won with a peaceful protest. They were involved only in a game as old as time for White America — the search for the first reasonable distraction.
It doesn’t matter what black protesters do nor how they do it. Whether they’re sitting peacefully in the street, refusing to play college football, or shouting on top of a police car, black protesters are always doing it wrong. It’s White America that sets the rules, as it always has, in defining what can and cannot be in response to systematic oppression. What’s required of black protesters to win respectability is a moving target, changing on the whims of unwritten societal rules. To be violent is evidence of black inferiority, but to be creative on campus is evidence that black people just don’t get the purpose of education.
i agree wholeheartedly and the most profound statement in this entire article is the reality they keep refusing to acknowledge which renders any advancing in race relations to a stagnant pool of resentment by both sides one side because the truth can't be denied to yourself it will surface God Bless the sub conscious and they just can't bring themselves to admit it.  on the other side frustration of deaf White ears of power that do just enough to fail so they can point and say "see nothing works" license to abandon with their own stacked against us records to convince other ears we are not worth it.

students on college campuses attacked for standing up for their rights and being demonized for doing so.
it takes a football team which let's faces it it was not the team persay it was what they represented "REVENUE" hitting them where it hurts and doors open but the door opens and justice is served and then they start in on how wrong they were to do that to those upstanding racist getting them out of the school for negligence of ignoring racial advancing on campus again ignoring the plight of the Black students and defending the racial biases they allowed.

BLACK LIVES MATTER well we can't have that either because reality they don't to them, police, education, jobs and sadly enough some of us too.  with so many not caring about BLACK LIVES it's no wonder we are where we are.  it starts with politicians and laws and programs then those who have the finance to support and those who participate and finally those that will be helped complying and putting down the drugs and guns and certain people getting over their hate for no reason other than it's tradition.  WAKE UP EVERYBODY WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT WHO IN THIS SCENARIO ARE THE ONES NOT DOING SOMETHING RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mitch McConnell's Obamacare repeal strategy hits roadblock

http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2015/11/12/1448817/-Mitch-McConnell-s-Obamacare-repeal-strategy-hits-roadblock?detail=email

Mitch McConnell has a problem. Well, three problems: Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and Rand Paul. These three have warned McConnell that his trick to pass Obamacare repeal through budget reconciliation will get their vote only if it repeals absolutely everything in the law—everything from Medicaid to pre-existing conditions to free flu shots. Here's how that problem just got a lot worse for McConnell.
The Senate parliamentarian ruled Tuesday afternoon that some provisions of a GOP bill to repeal Obamacare and defund Planned Parenthood did not survive the so-called Byrd rule, which governs when the powerful procedural tool known as reconciliation can be used. But top GOP Senate aides also noted the parliamentarian ruled that the bill was "privileged," meaning it can avoid a filibuster. Republicans also maintained that the problem could be resolved relatively easily on the floor with a substitute amendment.
The ruling from the parliamentarian found that two mandates that would be repealed in the GOP bill -- the individual mandate and the employer mandate -- did not survive the so-called Byrd rule, according to a senior Democratic aide.
What's the number one thing Republicans have railed against from the beginning in Obamacare? The individual mandate, with the employer mandate a close second. Those can't be included in this reconciliation bill and pass muster with the parliamentarian, unless McConnell gets enough votes to overrule the parliamentarian.
That's kind of a big thing in a presidential election cycle, when a whole mess of Republican senators are running for reelection in states that don't have a big tea party bent. Like Sens. Pat Toomey in Pennsylvania, Ron Johnson in Wisconsin, Kelly Ayotte in New Hampshire, or Mark Kirk in Illinois. They might think playing fast and loose with the rules on such a purely political, purely symbolic vote isn't in their best interest.
And speaking of some of those folks, here's the other part of McConnell's problem:
But a provision defunding Planned Parenthood—a measure that could give heartburn to moderates who don't support stripping funding from the women's health group—could be included in the reconciliation bill, according to the parliamentarian's ruling.
Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Susan Collins (R-ME), Mark Kirk, and possibly more "moderates" don't want this part included in the reconciliation bill. Says Murkowski, the Planned Parenthood provisions are "a big issue," So McConnell's got at least three senators who won't vote for anything short of complete repeal of Obamacare—and possibly four, because Utah's Mike Lee has made some noises like that, too. Then he's got at least three who won't want to take this Planned Parenthood vote.
they are vying for the woman's vote hard while still warring against them kinda two faced but bottom line they are still trying to take healthcare and any medical aid from both men and women and here's a shocker from those who cheer and will vote for them will be in the same jackpot recognize.

ever wonder why they never put these divisively egregious bills up by themselves they always have to attach it to something that would benefit we the people where as that attachment either strips or does not do anything for the people??????????  if you were to vote for them there would never be another bill that would benefit us it's not in their nature to help and serve American citizens not even those who vote for them.

Republican Presidential primary frontrunner Donald Trump says he “Likes IKE” for mainly one thing: the horrible and infamous Operation Wetback which began in 1954, and lead to widespread abuse and even deaths of Mexican immigrant laborers. Of course, many Republicans applaud Trump’s call for mass deportations of the 11 million undocumented immigrants today, despite the fact that they‘d take twenty years, a huge military force and cost billions of dollars.
Not to mention, mass deportations would cause much hardship and pain on long established and integral immigrants, and wrecking the American economy. So instead, let’s just implement Operation Trumpback, and send the Orange One back to where his family came from.

Marco Rubio (R-Fla) ranks 98th in the Senate with an estimated net worth* of $443,509 in 2013.
At first I thought: ‘Well, gee, he spent 8 years in the Florida legislature and has been a US senator since 2010, so maybe he just hasn’t made a whole lot of money.’ Then I ran across a table listing Rubio’s income and federal income tax paid for the years before he became a senator:

YEAR                                           INCOME                                    TAX PAID
2000
82,710 11,769
2001 89,879 13,883
2002 124,721 21,661
2003   122,718 17,414
2004 301,864 71,361
2005 330,106 76,739
2006   318,789 59,834
2007 308,285 54,423
2008 399,187 86,010
2009 317,531 60,611
No, this isn’t a ‘struggling’ young legislator. Rubio graduated from law school in 1996, got elected to the West Miami city commission in 1998 and the Florida legislature in 2000. That position didn’t pay much (it’s $29,000 per year now) but with the legislature only meeting 60 days per year, he had plenty of time for outside income…. and, as the table shows, he made the most of it.
Oh, let’s not forget that the years 2005-2008 were when he got to carry a Republican Party of Florida credit card, which he charged about $182,000 of ‘official expenses’ to. I’ve looked at those charges, and they stink to high heaven (maybe another diary there).
In 2010, Rubio made another $234,000 plus whatever his wife brought home from her job, variously described as ‘consulting’ or ‘event planning’ or ‘charity work’. BTW, she works for a company owned by the Norman Braman, who just happens to be Rubio’s ‘sugar daddy’ billionaire.  In 2013, Braman’s charity donated a grand total of $250 to charity (no, I didn’t forget to put zeros after the $250), yet it paid Marco’s wife at least $54,000,
2010 saw Marco elected to the US Senate, where he earns $174,000 plus a travel expenses and other perks.
Then, in 2012, Rubio collected a book advance of $800,000, followed in 2013 by $345,000 in royalties, and another $30,000 in 2014. Of course, his wife is still pulling down ‘>$1,000’ from her job (that’s all the disclosure rules require), and Marco earns about $22,000 per year for teaching at Florida International University. Oh, BTW, Marco’s teaching job at FIU was funded by….. wait for it…… Norman Braman!
Here’s what Rubio says he did with the book advance:
Rubio used the book money to settle more than $100,000 in student-loan debt, put at least $100,000 in a money-market account, buy an $80,000 fishing boat for the family and give nearly $65,000 to charity over two years. He sent his four kids to private school and set up savings accounts for their college education. Rubio parlayed his first book into a second publishing deal for American Dreams: Restoring Economic Opportunity for Everyone, a policy discussion foreshadowing his current bid for president.
I was surprised to find that he didn’t send his kids to private school until 2012. I had thought it would have been a good ‘money sink’ to explain where he spent a lot of money prior to 2012, but no such luck.
So after all this income, including over $1 million in a windfall from his book, what did Marco do in 2014? Here is the page from his Senate financial disclosure for 2014:
Yeah, Senator Marco Rubio, who wants to be our president and become responsible for the largest, most complex economy in the world, cashed in his only retirement savings! And this came at the end of a 15 year period in which he earned at least $4,585,000, an annual average of over $300,000.
the final analyst is in the article and he wants to go from one of the purse string holders to the big chair where he's accountable to the other purse string holders you know the ones who kept saying they are not giving Pres.  a blank check when it's them that have to sign each and everyone.

it's known they are terrible with numbers and money but this guy is real loser.  keepin up with the JONES??????

Jeb! Bush endorsed by 'a no good son of a bitch'

Former Senator and Presidential candidate Bob Dole, 91, is greeted by a supporter as he campaigns for Republican U.S. Senator Pat Roberts at American Legion Post #370 in Overland Park, Kansas November 2, 2014. American voters will decide which party contr

Well, this is awkward. On Wednesday, Jeb! Bush was humbled and grateful to have former senator and Republican presidential candidate Bob Dole endorse him and join the campaign as his veterans' chairman. And now there’s a snippet from President George H.W. Bush’s new book making the rounds:
And there is plenty of dish: Bush’s distaste for 1988 Republican rival Bob Dole (‘a no good son of a bitch’) ...
Oops. It’s not the first time Daddy Bush’s book has caused Jeb! some embarrassment … and odds are, it won’t be the last time.
just wondering since mama Bush told him not to go and he's been proving her instincts correct on a daily basis and the family now kinda not really helping out are the trying to torpedo him so as to prevent any further disgrace to the family like W didn't already seal that deal?????  just sayin

and just who is he, he speaks of himself in the third person is he saying "aqnd that's that"????  or is it not so much not open to question as i really don't have any answers for anything i just said or was he just doing it so he wouldn't forget who he was??????
