The GOP misquotes the founding fathers so often it almost seems like there’s a deliberate agenda to rewrite history and misrepresent the historical figures that they claim to so greatly admire.
When you hear one person after another, after another, repeating the same few made up quotes, it almost seems as if the GOP is testing the theory behind another falsely attributed quote:
“If you repeat a lie often enough, the people will come to believe it.”
That quote, which has often been attributed to Hitler’s propaganda minister, Joseph Goebbels, undoubtedly came from someone within Adolph Hitler’s administration. We know that the quote first originated in Nazi Germany. Yet, there’s no substantiated record that can accurately pinpoint its original author.

they do have a propensity to refer to all things Nazi when talking about Progressive leaders and policy.

1. “The government that governs least, governs best.”
The right wing has repeatedly and falsely attributed this quote to Thomas Jefferson. This false attribution has been circulated in memes on social media, repeated at political rallies, even spoken on the floor of federal and state houses across America, by right wing frauds, dim wits and perpetual liars.

2. “When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty.”
Another quote falsely attributed to Thomas Jefferson, this false quote has been repeated over and over by all the right wing rock stars, Michelle Bachmann, Christine O’Donnell, Tim Walberg, Michael Steele, Austin Scott, the list goes on and on.

3. “Most bad government is the result of too much government.”
Thomas Jefferson also did not say this. This quote has been circulated by GOP hacks like Alan West and Joe Scarborough. West himself wrote an entire book that was so full of erroneous founding father quotes it made headlines for its stunning lack of historical accuracy.

just a few now you get the idea my fear their base will still run and vote no matter how big a liar they are exposed to be doesn't matter all that matters is the Black guy with big ears in the WH, who will be gone, then they will have to bring that war on women to the front if Hilary runs and wins. and the hate goes on.

Why Taxpayers Will Get Stuck With The Bill For The Ferguson Lawsuit

Police Shooting Missouri

The city of Ferguson, Missouri was hit with a lawsuit Thursday by people who say officers violated their civil rights during the demonstrations against the police shooting of unarmed teenager Michael Brown. The $40 million federal lawsuit is sure to be the first of many addressing the police treatment of protesters and journalists in the aftermath of the shooting. The weeks of misconduct and mismanagement by Ferguson police are turning out to be expensive for city and county taxpayers.
The six Ferguson plaintiffs say police officers treated them “as if they were war combatants,” using tactics like beating, rubber bullets, pepper spray, and stun grenades, while the plaintiffs were peacefully protesting, sitting in a McDonalds, and in one case walking down the street to visit relatives. The suit targets Ferguson, St. Louis County, both jurisdictions’ police chiefs, and the individual officers.
It’s hard to imagine how a small, low-income city like Ferguson can scrounge up anything close to $40 million should they end up settling the suit. The sum dwarfs the city’s total revenues for the fiscal year. The lawsuit is less damaging for the larger and wealthier St. Louis County, but as other complaints over the police’s behavior pile on, litigation will inevitably take a toll on the budget. On top of the cost to defend and settle the lawsuits, St. Louis County has already spent at least $1 million on police overtime in Ferguson and is setting aside another million to help residents who were affected by the chaos.

just wondering how all those White police supporters feel now that they know they have to foot the bill for the racism they hire and support when it is in play, still all warm and fuzzy?  get's even more expensive when those in violation get to go home kick back and wait for that next check, are they still feeling pleased with their selves or will there be a mass backing away from the racist law enforcers with the military gear?  wonder if they'll have the audacity of arrogance and ask for federal gov't help and even more curious will they have the balls to say "oh hell no you can't" to quote Beohner.

U.S. airstrikes help Iraqi forces break Islamic State’s siege

Iraqi troops aided by U.S. airstrikes entered the besieged town of Amerli on Sunday, residents and Iraqi officials said, breaking a months-long blockade of the Shiite Turkmen village by Islamic State militants that raised fears of a massacre.
“Amerli has been liberated,” said Mahdi Taqi, a local politician and resident who was in the town during the siege. “There is so much joy, and people are cheering in the streets.”
Jihadists had surrounded the town in June, preventing food and other aid from reaching the population. Residents had armed themselves to fend off the militants, who have made sweeping gains across the country in recent months, but critical supplies began to run low.
The U.S. strikes around Amerli on Saturday appeared to swiftly tilt the balance in favor of Iraqi forces. The Pentagon said the air raids would be “limited in their scope and duration.”
that's not what you hear on Fox and in all fairness some mainstream media,  i think any news we hear now a days is dangerous and does not help Pres. is our need to know any more important than those rights they have taken and seek to take like voting?  i think Pres. may have said he had no plan to twart the right wing from spinning it and creating a leak of their design not his.  they haqve IMO created a lot of foreign backlash by doing just that remember anything to make him look bad their number one job.
calling him weak and saying they would rather have Putin as their president is not the American way it's the Russian/ republican way. they have in their rabid endeavor to sink this Pres. has proven to be the undoing ofthe country, and the really harmful part they don't care as long as they can con you into putting them back with the help of gerrymandering and voter suppression, when we look back we will blame them not Pres.  i say it again America does not deserve Barrack Hussein Obama.  they prefer the foreigners they have alienated for decades, or so they say.

Rookie defensive end Michael Sam was cut by the St. Louis Rams on Saturday, ESPN reported. A league source told the sports network that the team hopes to bring Sam back on their practice squad.
Sam may still be picked up by another team.
ESPN was recently criticized for reporting on whether Sam showered around his teammates as part of a segment on how the rookie was fitting in with the team. The sports network later said it "regrets" that discussion.

this is more mud thrown on the American mantle by so called Americans,  professionals should act as such or not relieve the pay and ad contracts as long as Sam is HIV free than they should act like it is and not deny him while by making the team owner and staff and most of all fellow players look like the bigots they are portraying now.  i think he might go for private test to satisfy staff so they can calm the homophones on their team of bigots.
as a Black man i understand discrimination but no one is getting paid while in the same room with me.  professional is all inclusive.

Things Get Worse For Mitch McConnell As His Campaign Manager Resigns Amid Bribery Scandal

http://www.politicususa.com/2014/08/30/worse-mitch-mcconnell-campaign-manager-resigns-bribery-scandal.html

Jesse Benton, the campaign manager for U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, will resign his post as a bribery scandal from the 2012 presidential campaign threatens to envelop Benton and become a major distraction for McConnell's campaign.
Benton told the Herald-Leader that he met with McConnell on Friday afternoon and offered his resignation, which McConnell "reluctantly accepted."
Benton said he offered his resignation, effective Saturday, with a "heavy heart."
He maintained his innocence, faulting "inaccurate press accounts and unsubstantiated media rumors."
"This decision breaks my heart, but I know it is the right thing for Mitch, for Kentucky and for the country," Benton said.
The scandal surrounds the 2012 Ron Paul presidential campaign paying $73,000 in bribes so that former Iowa state Sen. Kent Sorenson would flip his support from Michele Bachmann to Ron Paul. Emails show that Benton played a direct role in recruiting Sorenson for the Paul campaign. The same scandal has also ended Michele Bachmann House career, and made her the focus of several federal criminal investigations.
sorry i'm ROFLMAO 3 three times now, it's funny that a party that prides itself on it's criminal picks and politicians, why would it break his heart because he loses the position from which he can acquire bribes?  one thing about criminals they never seem to think "perhaps i might get caught", almost like it's a privilege that shall not be trampled on while normally that bribe is so they can make it possible to trample on others privilege like voting? as for turtle man we can only hope for the same fate as Bachmann

The Foreign Leaders Conservative Media Wish Were In Charge Here

http://mediamatters.org/blog/2014/08/29/the-foreign-leaders-conservative-media-wish-wer/200599
International incidents are a prime opportunity to daydream about foreign leaders who'd make better presidents than Barack Obama, at least inside the conservative media bubble. David Cameron has now joined Vladimir Putin and Benjamin Netanyahu on the right's list of foreigners they'd rather have in the Oval Office than the man the nation elected.
On August 28, President Obama delivered remarks on the U.S. military's approach to the rising terror threat from the Islamic State (also known as ISIS or ISIL) and recent developments in Ukraine. Right-wing media figures responded with disdain, accusing the president of failing to view the Islamic State as a threat and even suggesting it's understandable to think Obama sympathizes with terrorists. Yet when Cameron deliveredsimilar remarks on the Islamic State's threat to the United Kingdom the next day, the right's response was much different -- Fox News contributor Erick Erickson tweeted:

Can we borrow David Cameron? He fights.

Russian President Vladimir Putin
Right-wing media have repeatedly championed the Russian president as a leader who is superior to Obama.
In 2013, when the two heads of state supported opposing factions in the Syrian civil war, conservative outlets praised Putin as "the leader of the free world" and a "real He-Man" who demands respect, unlike the "gutless" Obama. Rush Limbaugh even appeared to take Putin's side in the conflict.
Earlier this year, when Russian forces invaded Ukraine in violation of multiple international treaties, Rudy Giuliani took to Fox News to praise Putin as "what you call a leader," in contrast to Obama. Other conservative outlets fawned over shirtless photos of the Russian leader while complaining that Obama wears "mom jeans" and is weak on foreign policy.

keep in mind this is coming from the party that claims it's Americanism and yet they want those they have said were evil and are war crazed now the Russian were suppose to be our geo-political enemy according to the guy they tried to put in the WH Romney, but now these guys that said the same words about the same subject as Pres. are fit to be Potus's or is this just an Obama bashing opt for republicans?

they want to replace your Pres. with foreign entities with war on their minds and the minds on war.  how much more American is that not!  vote for them and somehow they sneak Iran's Ahmadinejad in the WH SERIOUSLY.

Conservative Media's "Off-The-Rails" Claim About A Climate Deal And The Constitution

Fox News Climate

Obama Administration Announces It Is Seeking A Non-Legally Binding Climate Accord

NY Times: Obama Is Seeking "Politically Binding" Rather Than Legally Binding International Climate Agreement. The New York Times reported that the Obama administration is seeking a "politically binding" rather than legally binding agreement that would "name and shame" nations that don't comply at the upcoming United Nations summit meeting in 2015:
The Obama administration is working to forge a sweeping international climate change agreement to compel nations to cut their planet-warming fossil fuel emissions, but without ratification from Congress.
In preparation for this agreement, to be signed at a United Nations summit meeting in 2015 in Paris, the negotiators are meeting with diplomats from other countries to broker a deal to commit some of the world's largest economies to enact laws to reduce their carbon pollution. But under the Constitution, a president may enter into a legally binding treaty only if it is approved by a two-thirds majority of the Senate.
To sidestep that requirement, President Obama's climate negotiators are devising what they call a "politically binding" deal that would "name and shame" countries into cutting their emissions.
it makes you wonder why someone on the right wing that cares about their base won't just come out and say "it's for 6 years all been a lie", are they afraid that since they moronically passed carry laws and sold their people every gun on earth that after being woken to the truth that they may get shot multiple times by multiple people carrying multiple guns and multiple bullets and multiple clips or are they content to leave them in the dark stumbling and blaming Pres. for what the ones they voted for did to their families?
what are they going to say when climate change ends the world hope their base is already dead or to weak to do any kind of revenge?  that would be od course if they didn't manage to start a nuclear war.
either way they are misleading and give less than gnat crap about you and it's effects.

as to deals yeah he is for them to cut back on their carbon print and do more to stop the contributing to the end of the world and seek green fuels, but are they the republicans just confused as usual or spinning truths in to their kinda misinformation?

Fox's Geraldo: Obama Should Encourage American Muslims "To Be Americans First" Rivera: Obama Should Tell American Imams To "Begin Preaching American Patriotism"

http://mediamatters.org/video/2014/08/29/foxs-geraldo-obama-should-encourage-american-mu/200595
GERALDO RIVERA: I would like the President of the United States to say to Muslim Americans, you are our fellow citizens, we adore you. You are part of the American mosaic. We incorporate you. We extol the virtue of your wonderful religion. But I ask -- me speaking again as the president -- you Imams in the various mosques around the country, to begin preaching American patriotism. Begin spotting these troubled youngsters, disabusing them of the notion that their first loyalty is to jihad or  extreme Islam. I think that we now have to recognize that this is an urgent situation.
Not merely the military situation in Iraq and Syria, as critical as that is. But right here at home and in Great Britain and in other countries where there has been a tremendous diaspora of the Muslim population, they are everywhere. We love them. They are business leaders, they are drivers, they are teachers, they are scholars. But there must be now a commitment by American Muslims, as encouraged by the President of the United States, to be American  first, and to let the kids know that to be a jihadist is a dead end street.
BRIAN KILMEADE: I hate to tell you, don't hold your breath, because we've been trying to do that, and this president has been a very good friend to the Muslims. He actually just celebrated Ramadan again. So if they're not getting the message yet, I think we've had it.

okay we have to except that the Americans he wants them to be are those that look at his show and get giddy when Palin shows up and hates everyone but themselves and the jury is still out on that one.  basically he's saying they should renounce who they are millenniums older than evangelicals and become the haters of America and not the citizens they are now who renounce the violence and extremism while his faction of the country don't renounce their violence and extremism so what's good for good 'ol boyz is not for American Muslims or rightfully Muslim Americans.  they want to control and dictate with a "do as i say not as i do".

Laura Ingraham Tells Radio Listeners That Obama Considers Them, Not Islamic State, The "True Enemy" Ingraham: Obama "Has Not Used The Word Enemy To Describe The Islamic State ... That's Reserved For You"

http://mediamatters.org/video/2014/08/29/laura-ingraham-tells-radio-listeners-that-obama/200596
as reprehensible as the right wing is misleading and out right lying to those gullible enough to believe them just to keep things in their favor those who go along are not even in for a cut of the robbery of America by right wing zealots, they don't get the same things we don't and if you think you're not better off than you were 6 years ago blame republicans not the Pres.  they are the ones who pledged to do nothing to make him look good in case you need translation that's republican for screw "YOU THE PEOPLE".

the things Pres. has done without their help are for you too yet you hate him why?  shouldn't you hate those who lie and misinform you and deny you what the 3rd world countries give their people for free? they will not stop even if you re-elect them your lives will get worse all the advantage taking will return but for you right wing voters at least you got your guy right where they want you. recognize
more Fox lies and attempts to scare you into more hate.
G W Bush, "you can fool some of the people all of the time and those are the ones you want to concentrate on", says it all doesn't it?

News Outlet: Karl Rove Twisted Our Reporting For His Anti-Dem Attack Ad

http://mediamatters.org/blog/2014/08/29/news-outlet-karl-rove-twisted-our-reporting-for/200597

The Colorado Independent criticized Fox News contributor Karl Rove and his political group for twisting its reporting into a misleading attack on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Democratic Sen. Mark Udall.
Rove is the co-founder of Crossroads GPS, an IRS 501(c)(4) group that funds attacks against Democratic candidates across the country. The Associated Press reported on August 19 that GPS plans to spend more than $6 million on television ads in Colorado.
The group's latest Colorado ad attacks incumbent Sen. Udall for supporting health care reform, with a narrator claiming that "on the Eastern Plains, patients now outnumber doctors 5,000 to one." The group cites the Independent for the statistic.
But the news outlet responded that GPS is misrepresenting its work. Reporter Tessa Cheek, whose reporting was quoted by GPS, wrote that the commercial added the word "now" to deceptively suggest the patient-to-doctor ratio is a result of the ACA when in fact it "has nothing to do with the new law":

and this guy gets 501 status???  this is why the IRS targeted them they are liars and have no respect for the law not even the ones they make up  as to non profit hard to believe a right wing org. that lives for the money and power it brings are really non profit somebody's leaning to which ever side they stuffed the money in their pocket.
The difference is the word "now," and it's the difference between true and, well, not true, because "now" makes the 5,000-to-one figure look like an outcome of the Affordable Care Act. The figure has nothing to do with the new law.
"All of that data is pre 2014 Affordable Care Act implementation, so pre-Medicaid expansion, pre-ACA rollout," confirmed Rebecca Alderfer, Colorado Health Institute senior analyst and an author of the report we cited in our article about the systemic challenges facing rural health care expansion.
In addition to being unrelated to the ACA time-wise, the figure is also not directly about insurance. Specifically, it reflects the number of primary care doctors in relation to the number of people living in their area. It's not a figure that speaks to the number of insured people or the number of providers who will accept their insurance. Alderfer tells us it's too soon for figures that will tell how the ACA has impacted health care accessibility in rural areas, but that the Institute will have a full report on that -- including figures from the 2014 open enrollment period -- this time next year.
keep in mind this is not just him this is the republican party itself that engages in the same deception,  get pissed, show up Nov. 4th they keep saying we won't this is another opportunity to show they lie about us and their politics, and we are not the slackers they count on us to be, that was yesterday, tomorrow we start taking it to 'em and shine your light so others may see.
