New Hampshire Voters Explain The Appeal Of Donald Trump

http://crooksandliars.com/cltv/2015/07/new-hampshire-voters-explain-appeal

what it looks like he's getting ready say to America is probably just what he thinks

i keep going back to Joan Walsh's book title "WHAT IS WRONG WITH WHITE PEOPLE"???????  how do you claim the American mantra in one breath than praise and support the very entity that threatens the legitimacy of that mantra in the next???

all the niceties they expressed as their thoughts are devoid of the bigotry and racism he espouses is that blind to facts or ignoring them running in a party that's nothing but bigotry and racism think republicans are more against him not because of the imbecilic things he says but because he will not be controlled therefore a republican gov't with all it's factions tea people, conservatives, libertarians, and moderates and the donald all with different ideas of how to turn the steering wheel will doom themselves  and America to a broken attempt to install the oligarchy.

don't ignore this my friends think about it the infighting now and the addition of a lone wolf whose head swells with every second and think of foreign policy and hell think of domestic policy none of which does he have experience or voiced an opinion he is playing those who oppose getting a free campaign ride so far.

he hasn't spent anything but he's number one to them for what racist bigoted remarks about other Americans he wants to be president of????????????
wake up everybody this is not a game we are the ones who stand to be fired under that abomination of government. RECOGNIZE  watch the video please

MSNBC Drops Ed Show, The Cycle, Now With Alex Wagner

MSNBC Drops Ed Show, The Cycle, Now With Alex Wagner

Your liberal media, ladies and gentlemen!
MSNBC has formally decided to cancel three programs -- "The Cycle," "Now with Alex Wagner" and "The Ed Show" -- as part of a larger effort to shift its daytime lineup away from opinion programming, network sources told the On Media blog on Thursday.
Phil Griffin, the president of MSNBC, is expected to announce the cancellations as early as this evening, the sources said, though it is possible that he will announce each show's cancellation separately over multiple days. An MSNBC spokesperson declined to confirm or comment on the decision.
The fate of the three shows' hosts is unknown, though network sources said that both Alex Wagner and Ari Melber, a Cycle co-host and MSNBC's chief legal correspondent, are expected to stay with the network. One source said that Cycle co-hosts Abby Huntsman and Krystal Ball will be leaving the network.
I will miss Krystal Ball. She added a lot of insight to the network as a whole, not just The Cycle. And after Ari Melber did a stellar job filling in for Lawrence O'Donnell after his accident and long recovery, they darn well better not dump him. Abby Huntsman? Mehhhh. Let her go to Fox. There's a place for her there.
Rumor has it that the replacement for these shows will include a new daily Chuck Todd feature! Oooooh, hard news.
Chuck Todd as replacement for Ed Schultz? Comcast has won.
well i now must seek other forms of info for my daytime news looks like a lot of web searching is in my future looked for some sign of improved ratings since going right wing leaning but saw only news of their decline with present lineup.

question is will losing devout listeners like myself in daytime be made up by Fox devotees channel surfing or migrating??  for that to happen they have to compete which means getting as reprehensible, making up their own news and replace host with liars willing to sell their souls to the company and cheating us with sensationalism rather than real news.

how much of this change is about ratings and how much about NBC UNIVERSAL/COMCAST are right wing owned??????  we are giving them our country and have been for decades time to fight back or swallow the bile of right wing politics.  how long before they screw with the prime time line up and lose even more viewers.  my finger is inches away from that click that deletes them from my DVR favorites.

just a thought i notice of late Ed Shultz getting more and more combative in his reporting of Hillary and Pres. is that a last ditch effort to keep his job????????
Chuck Todd no tears here.

Colorado Republican: Gay scoutmasters should be 'drowned in the depths of the sea'

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/07/29/1406953/-Colorado-Republican-Gay-scoutmasters-should-be-drowned-in-the-depths-of-the-sea?detail=email

This was never a contest, Republicans. You didn't have to elevate every last far-far-right jackass to elected office.
Colorado state Rep. Gordon Klingenschmitt (R) said on Monday that it would be “better” for the Boy Scouts of America to drown its gay scoutmasters in the “depths of the sea” instead of lifting a ban on them. [...]
“If your boy is in one of those organizations, you need to get him out of there,” he warned. “Because what they’re going to do is promote homosexual men to mentoring and camping with your boys in the woods. And it will lead to child abuse… The children are in danger. It’s not about the sexual pleasure of the adults.” [...]
“This is what Jesus said about child molesters,” the Republican lawmaker insisted. “If you are going to cause a child to sin, it would be better if you just had a millstone hung around your neck and you were drowned in the depths of the sea. Compared to the judgement that almighty God is going to implement on child molesters when he throws them into hell.”
This would be the far-right pastor with the Internet radio show, the one who Colorado Springs Republicans elected to office based on his strong platform of President Obama being possessed by demons—don't worry, he performed an on-air exorcism—and calling gay Americans "unhuman." More recently he was stripped of his committee posts after opining that a pregnant Colorado woman stabbed by an assailant was the result of a "curse" God "put on America for our sin of" abortion.
So telling the Boy Scouts they should drown their gay members in the "depths of the sea" because hey, Bible, is par for the course for the conspicuously loathsome Klingenschmitt. Republican leaders will probably—one assumes—again distance themselves from the crazy person bubbling hot frothy bile, but This Is Who Republican Voters Vote For. They wanted this guy.
this is what is most scary about republicans their base of fanatics they believe and act on whatever is thrown into those red meat feeding troughs.  people who react from a bandwagon stance usually are under informed an being motivated strictly by buzz words.

they are just as if not more reprehensible and Godless as those who concentrate on them rebels with somebody else's cause are dangerous they don't know where to begin but after being pointed in the preferred direction they don't know where to stop and those that direct them don't supply a time to end it.  all in the name of an evangelical deity.

#BlackLivesMatter Co-Founder Responds to Bill O'Reilly's Ignorance

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/07/30/1407122/--BlackLivesMatter-Co-Founder-Responds-to-Bill-O-Reilly-s-Ignorance?detail=email

The more I see of #BlackLivesMatter and its co-founder Patrisse Cullors, the more impressed and hopeful I am that they're going to set off change for the better.
On Tuesday, Fox News personality Bill O’Reilly accused #BlackLivesMatter of being anarchists in favor of genocide (yeah, I know, WTF?), funded by George Soros (that never gets old for the righties).
What really seemed to set him off was the prospect of #BLM saying they were planning to stage protests at next year’s Republican National Convention in Cleveland. (Video at link.)
“Do you think they know that [Jay-Z and BeyoncĂ© are] giving money to an anarchistic group like this that wants to tear down the country and is talking about genocide, and really really extreme things,” O’Reilly told Washington Times reporter Kelly Riddell. “You think they have any idea what they’re doing?”...
“I don’t know whether this crew, Black Lives Matter, have any constituency other than the radical left, the real fringe nuts that run around the country saying crazy things,” O’Reilly said.
Today, Patrisse Cullors, a co-founder of the #BlackLivesMatter movement, had a beautiful response to O'Reilly, throwing his careless characterization of the movement back in his teeth (video at link):
“What’s unfortunate about Bill O’Reilly is that it’s pundits like him that fuel anti-black racism,” Patrisse Cullors told HuffPost Live host Marc Lamont Hill. “It’s pundits like him that allow for folks like Dylann Roof to have more ammunition. So I think we need to hold him accountable.”...
“We are challenging our government,” she argued. “We want true democracy in this country, and that doesn’t exist right now. We see that with Sam DuBose case, where an officer killed him within a matter of minutes. That sounds like a police state. That sounds like police terrorism to me. I challenge Bill O’Reilly: does he want to live in a country where black folks die on a daily basis at the hands of law enforcement and not challenge it?” ...
“This is vibrant. This is new,” she said. “People are developing a new political analysis as they join this movement. We aren’t a front group for another organization. This is a grassroots effort.”
as usual bilo shows he's totally devoid of intelligence when it comes to Black the dynamic.  remember when Rev. Al took him to Sylvia's in Harlem he was surprised that we had manners and used knives an forks that was me, and nobody was saying "MF'er I want more iced tea", well this latest attempt to read Black people is just as ignorant.

http://mediamatters.org/research/2007/09/21/oreilly-surprised-there-was-no-difference-betwe/139893

as to constituency i see White guys holding that banner and in protest and marches and rallies and speaking out against racist and bigoted haters like him that is a constituents from the grassroots not some org. with an agenda.  you can cut the bliss in the air with a butter knife.

bilo FYI "before you can read me you have to know how to see me, free your mind" lyrics from EN VOGUE song "free your mind".  but he's just following the marching order "anytime a person or group rises in prominence and people other Black people are listening go in to code red and destroy any relevancy we can't allow them to have hope" that my friends explains the 7 year war against Pres. and hope and change. nip it in the bud battle cry of the republicans and the right wing shadow gov't.

Off-duty New Jersey state trooper fired his gun at three unarmed teens

New Jersey State Police patrol car

A Sparta, New Jersey newspaper is reporting that an off-duty New Jersey state trooper fired his weapon after three teens mistakenly knocked on his door:
A source said, they mistakenly went to the next door neighbor’s home. After repeatedly ringing the doorbell and loudly knocking on the door, the homeowner, a state trooper, came to the door. When he opened the door and shouted at them, the three men ran away.
The three got into a vehicle and the officer fired three gun shots as they attempted to flee. The car became disabled approximately one half mile from the original scene. Two of the men were apprehended at the vehicle. The third, Matthew Mayer fled, according to local sources.
A neighbor said she was awoken to the “pop, pop, pop” of the gunshots.
A mother of one of the boys said the officer never identified himself:
Lindsay Marasco said the three boys drove to Whispering Winds off of Sterling Hill Road to drop off Matthew Mayer at a friend’s house.
“After knocking on the door, they heard the loud voice from inside saying ‘I don’t know who the f** you are, get off my f**ing property'," Marasco said. "They didn’t recognize the voice so they ran away. They ran to their car.
Because it was in a cul-de-sac they had no choice but to drive past the house to get out. The man was in the street pointing his gun at them. They were scared and just wanted to get out of there. Then he shot his gun at them.”
She said the state trooper, Kissenger Barreau, did not identify himself as a police officer to the boys. This was confirmed by one of the other boys involved. His attorney has advised him not to discuss details at this time.
Marasco continued, “They got as far as Butternut [Way] when something was wrong with the wheel and they couldn’t drive any further.” Her son called her to tell her what happened and to get a ride. She told them they had to call the police to report someone was shooting at them.  So, she said, that is what they did.
When police arrived, the boys were arrested, although no charges have been announced.
what no vacation pay no admin leave so does that mean this gun wielding trigger happy cop is still out there?????  is that law about not shouting a suspect because they are fleeing apply in NJ and do they have green light to arrest you with no apparent charge for the arrest????  i'm waiting for the next cd "police gone wild".

'Straight Pride' parade in Seattle didn't go as well as the organizer had hoped

Lone straight pride parade participant, Anthony Rebello

hmmm looks like the few tea people who showed up for last years tea party protest in DC. beats this guys protest by 3 or 4 more
Even his own girlfriend didn't show up for Straight Pride
Straight pride activist Anthony Rebello organized a Straight Pride Parade in Seattle last weekend and it didn't go as well as planned.
Despite inviting more than 2,400 people via his event page on Facebook, the parade organizer—Anthony Rebello—was the sole parade attendee. No word on where his girlfriend was during the parade. Even with zero support, Anthony say this year's parade was a "warm up" and he's planning to do it again next year.
We all have the right to celebrate the way of life we have chosen for ourselves. In the name of equality & equal rights, I have created this event to celebrate our right to be heterosexual, and to encourage younger heterosexuals that they should be proud of their heterosexuality.
yo heads up look in your toilet that crap you see spinning around is hate being flushed.  yeah we all have the right to celebrate the life they have chosen but until now people like this guy didn't really believe it and it appears now that at least in his circle people aren't really tripping on heterosexual rights that have never been threatened, hated on or it's members killed because of their heterosexualism.

more would have shown up for that lion oh forgot it was just him no show ups.

The Kochs try to bottle up Trump's candidacy

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/07/29/1406895/-The-Kochs-try-to-bottle-up-Trump-s-candidacy?detail=email

Executive Producer and host Donald Trump speaks about the NBC television show
I could smoosh David Koch between my two fingers.
Looks like the Koch brothers have concluded that Reince is a little out of his league with The Donald, so they're taking matters into their own hands, report Kenneth Vogel and Cate Martel:
Despite a long and cordial relationship between the real estate showman and David Koch, as well as a raft of former Koch operatives who are now running Trump’s presidential campaign, the Koch political operation appears to have concluded that Trump is the wrong standard-bearer for the GOP.
And the network of Koch-backed policy and political outfits is using behind-the-scenes influence to challenge Trump more forcefully than the Republican Party establishment — by limiting his access to the support and data that would help him translate his lead in the polls into a sustainable White House campaign.
The Koch operation has spurned entreaties from the Trump campaign to purchase state-of-the-art data and analytics services from a Koch-backed political tech firm called i360, and also turned down a request to allow Trump to speak at an annual grass-roots summit next month in Columbus, Ohio, sponsored by the Koch-backed group Americans for Prosperity, POLITICO has learned.
This is pretty great. Koch v. Trump. Also pretty great that the Kochs have standards. Who knew? But so far, advantage Trump. He apparently didn't need the Kochs' precious data to figure out how to get on that debate stage next week. But certainly he'll want access to that $900 million their network has promised to lavish on the 2016 election cycle.
if not for the detriment these persons can be to our lives and our country this is looking like it will trump 2012 pun intended but the really disheartening thing is what people are saying in favor of the racist narcissistic bloviator is really a statement of how not great this country is built on racism and bigotry and others forced labor and centuries later there are still those longing for that time.

you know the ones who want to take "THEIR" country back well FYI we are not giving you "OUR" country and will destroy what they are to ignorant to realize is still here and alive.  we are the majority, haters are not just louder because we keep giving them the megaphone that is our megaphone we paid for it with our tax dollars time to collect "OUR" countries belongings they have stored in lockers life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all Americans.

NEW YORK, NY - JULY 22: Donald Trump greets supporters, tourists and the curious after taping an interview with Anderson Cooper at a Trump owned building in mid-town Manhattan on July 22, 2015 in New York City. Trump, who is running for president on a Republican ticket, has come under intensifying criticism for his behavior on the campaign trail. The billionaire's most recent comments on Senator John McCain's war record in Vietnam have resulted in almost universal criticism from fellow candidates. (Photo by Spencer Platt/Getty Images)

Bloomberg has some bad news for Donald Trump.
The financial network’s Bloomberg Billionaires Index analyzed the entrepreneur and ex-reality TV star’s nearly 100-paged financial disclosure form and estimated his net worth at $2.9 billion.
His campaign had previously released a statement claiming that Trump is worth “in excess of TEN BILLION DOLLARS,” a figure Bloomberg says is inaccurate and based on a number of inflated assumptions.
Bloomberg’s Caleb Melby said on the network Tuesday that his group’s analysis takes into account all of the assets, liabilities and cash flows that analysts could account for based on Trump’s FEC filings. He pointed out that many of the properties in Trump’s portfolio are, in fact, owned and operated by others, but have licensing agreements to use the Trump brand — an important consideration when discussing the breadth of his global portfolio.
A major part of the disagreement stems from the assessment of accountants working for Trump of what the billionaire mogul’s brand is worth, independent of the company’s holdings. In a summary of his finances released in June, Trump estimated the value of his brand name at $3.3 billion.
But the value of Trump’s brand has declined following his attacks on Mexican immigrants on the campaign trail — such statements have already lost him business deals with Macy’s, Univision, and NBC.   Trump and his campaign have not yet commented on Bloomberg’s findings.
i still wonder i know they can't find out how much but it's not unreasonable to think he has off shore acct's. but i do believe the Bloomberg report.  i kept getting hairs raising on my arms every time he bragged about how rich he was like that is a positive to be president that is really old school founding guys old school the rich with property were the only ones who could vote or hold office keeping it in the loop and now 3 plus centuries later they are still keeping it in the loop rich rule even when they aren't elected or politicians (Koch's)

i think they haven't responded because they haven't thought up a answer yet, it's totally out of character for Trump not to hit back with a vengeance immediately so silence isn't indicative of the boisterous megalomaniac we all know and................. you fill in that blank.

Catholic Nun Explains Pro-Life In A Way That Will Stun Many (Especially Republican Lawmakers)

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/07/30/1407166/-Catholic-Nun-Explains-Pro-Life-In-A-Way-That-May-Stun-The-Masses?detail=email

In one simple quote, Sister Joan Chittister, O.S.B. sums up the hypocrisy in the 'pro-life' movement:
"I do not believe that just because you're opposed to abortion, that that makes you pro-life. In fact, I think in many cases, your morality is deeply lacking if all you want is a child born but not a child fed, not a child educated, not a child housed. And why would I think that you don't? Because you don't want any tax money to go there. That's not pro-life. That's pro-birth. We need a much broader conversation on what the morality of pro-life is."
This quote applies well to many Republican lawmakers and anti-choice extremists who continue to introduce/pass misogynist laws restricting a woman's reproductive rights. At the same time, the GOP works to shut down women's health clinics, with a special vengeance towards Planned Parenthood (#StandWithPP).
You don't hear of these Right Wing anti-choice extremists adopting children from unplanned pregnancies. But you do hear of them cutting government programs like school lunches for children, cutting government financial and heath care aid to families who are homeless and/or in need, and blocking free college education. No, the goals of these hypocrites seem to be more about controlling women's bodies and women's futures. It's good to hear Sister Chittister, a Benedictine nun, define the GOP double talk so well.
An outspoken advocate for women, Sister Joan Chittister is an author of 50 books and a lecturer. Holding a Ph.D. from Penn State University, she is also a research associate in a division of Cambridge University. Other subjects of her writing includes women in the church and society, human rights, peace and justice, religious life and spirituality. She has appeared in the media on numerous shows including Meet the Press, 60 Minutes, Bill Moyers, BBC, NPR, and Oprah Winfrey. You can visit Joan Chittister's website at Joan Chittister.org.

Republican Women’s Group Posts Image Of A Lynched Black Man Hanging From A Tree

http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2015/07/30/3686008/republican-womens-group-posts-image-lynched-black-man-hanging-tree/

The Oklahoma Federation of Republican Women apologized on Wednesday after they posted an image of a black man being lynched on their official Facebook page. The image included a solitary African American man hanging by a noose from a tree, with the text “The KKK was formed by the Democrats to keep control over black Americans. The Democrats of today just traded ropes for welfare” accompanying the image.
After KFOR, a local news station, contacted the organization’s president, Pam Pollard, about the image, Pollard deleted the post. She later released a statement saying that she “did not make the post or approve the post and when it was brought to my attention I immediately deleted it.”
The message accompanying the offensive image relies on a number of tropes, insinuations and half-truths that are commonly used by the Democratic Party’s opponents to attack the party’s record on race. It is true, for example, that white segregationists largely identified with the Democratic Party for many years. The South was, in effect, a bloc of one-party states for most of the century following the Civil War.
Claims that Democrats remain creatures of the Klan, however, misses the last half-century of American history. Democratic President Lyndon Johnson reportedly said that he feared that his party may “have lost the South for a generation” when he signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Democratic Party’s recent performance in Southern elections suggests that Johnson’s prediction was insufficiently pessimistic.
Similarly, the Facebook image’s insinuation that welfare programs primarily target black people is also false. In 2013, over 40 percent of food stamp recipients, for example, were white — while only about a quarter of such recipients were African American. Similarly, in 2010, less than a third of individuals who benefited from the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program were black. The percentage of TANF beneficiaries who are African American declined every year from 2001 through 2010.
are they just stupid well they are the party of stupid so that's redundant but that Democratic party referred to that was affiliated with the Klan is now and switched to back then the present republican party another lie they have not switched ropes for welfare they are trying to pin their tales on our donkey they were the ones with the ropes and the slaves that are now obstruction and suppression are their weapon of today.  but make no mistake the Dems of old are the republicans of today.  misleading with misinformation that is all they have don't be concentrated on.

Alabama Seeks To Deny Woman Abortion By Stripping Her Parental Rights, Appointing Lawyer For Fetus

http://thinkprogress.org/health/2015/07/29/3685847/alabama-fetus-lawyer-inmate/

Alabama officials are currently seeking to prevent a pregnant prison inmate from obtaining a legal abortion by stripping her of her parental rights, in a case where a lawyer has been appointed to represent the interests of her fetus.
An unnamed woman, who is referred to in court documents only as Jane Doe, is asking for permission to travel to Huntsville to end her pregnancy. She says she was unable to get an abortion before she was taken into custody and is now feeling desperate. “I am very distraught, and do not want to be forced to carry this pregnancy to term,” she wrote.
Jane Doe — who has to get permission from the court to be transported to the nearest clinic because prison officials consider abortion to be a non-emergency procedure — is being represented by the American Civil Liberties Union, which argues that it would be “cruel and unusual punishment” for the state of Alabama to deny her constitutional right to abortion.
Now, as Lauderdale County District Attorney Chris Connolly prepares to argue against this request, he is asking the court to strip Doe of her parental rights so that she will no longer have the right to end her pregnancy. In a hearing to determine the outcome of the case, which is expected to be decided by Friday, the state court appointed an attorney — known as a “guardian ad litem” — to serve on behalf of Doe’s fetus.
“It appears to me that what the state is attempting to do is turn Jane Doe into a vessel, and control every aspect of her life, forcing her to give birth to a baby, which she has decided she does not want to do,” Randall Marshall, one of Doe’s attorneys, told the Huffington Post. “The case has certainly moved to this new dimension, but welcome to Alabama.”
Indeed, appointing legal representation to fetuses is not a new area for Alabama. The state has previously provoked national outrage for imposing particularly stringent restrictions on minors who want to end a pregnancy without notifying their legal guardians, which is a situation that typically arises when a pregnant teen doesn’t feel safe confiding in a family member who previously abused her. In these cases, Alabama law requires the teenager to take the stand to argue for her abortion rights — against a lawyer assigned to represent the interests of her fetus.
More broadly, as state officials go to court to defend harsh abortion restrictions from legal challenges, it’s not uncommon for lawyers to argue that these policies are necessary because it’s in the state’s best interest to preserve the life of the fetus. And when states move to prosecute pregnant women for allegedly endangering their pregnancies by using drugs, officials sometimes appoint legal representation for the fetuses but not for the women who carried them.
it is amazing how far these zealots will go to appoint a lawyer to control a woman's life, body and future these foreign states in the south are not really concerned about the resulting babies of that fetus or it's mother before and after so what is it they claim right to life but isn't ignoring and abandoning and denying food through wic or food stamps tantamount to the same thing they are railing against with abortion isn't the end result the same except their way cause the born baby pain and unusual treatment by starvation or denial of pre or post natal treatment and eventually death or deficiencies?????

whose the bad guy hear??????

Koch Brothers Summon Four GOP Candidates

http://crooksandliars.com/2015/07/koch-brothers-summon-four-gop-candidates

Scott Walker, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush and Ted Cruz have been invited to audition for the Koch Brothers.
The gathering – which also will include former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, but notably not Sen. Rand Paul - is hosted by Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce, the umbrella group in the Kochs' increasingly influential network of political and public policy outfits. It represents a major opportunity for the candidates at a pivotal moment in the presidential primary…
Freedom Partners' annual summer conference is set for August 1 through August 3, and is expected to draw 450 of the biggest financiers of the right for sessions about the fiscally conservative policies and politics that animate the billionaire industrialist brothers Charles and David Koch and many of the donors in their network.
Most have the capability to write seven- or even eight-figure checks to the super PACs fueling the GOP presidential primary, and a significant proportion have yet to settle on a 2016 choice, or are considering supporting multiple candidates. That includes Charles and David Koch, as well as Las Vegas casino mogul Sheldon Adelson and hedge fund billionaires Paul Singer, both of whom will be represented at the conference by advisers, and a number of other attendees of past conferences whose 2016 leanings are being closely watched
it's one thing to blatantly try to by a country out from under democracy but to do it in our faces is quite another just as answering that dog whistle when it blows when you never answer the call of we the people when we cry out is still another will they make them crawl around on the floor in diapers and crow like a chiken then toss them the millions one penny at a time, we can hope.

Kansas City hotel manager hangs black doll from doorway in office to mock Sandra Bland

Adams Mark Hotel in Kansas City as black slave doll is hanging from doorway

This, ladies and gentlemen, is your America.A white hotel manager of the Adams Mark Hotel in Kansas City hung a black slave doll from the doorway of the office with a garbage bag in an apparent mocking of the death of Sandra Bland.
In searching for eloquent words to explain this bullshit, I have few.
American racism is deep, sick, and flagrant.
In your mind, I dare you to rewind to the moment in which this asshole, a white supervisor with black employees no less, conceived the idea, gathered the materials, and proceeded to act on his instinct to do such a thing.
It's sick and this man should be charged with a federal hate crime. Termination is not enough.
Our country, sadly, is either regressing, or the outer facade is just being torn away and we're starting to see the deeper, uglier soul of this nation. Below are some of the first tweets covering the incident.
i got nothing

The Koch Brothers are About to Destroy Veterans' Health Care and No One Knows About It

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/07/28/1406562/-The-Koch-Brothers-are-About-to-Destroy-Veterans-Health-Care-and-No-One-Knows-About-It?detail=email

The war on workers' rights has shifted to a new and unlikely battleground this week: the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. And for the more than 350,000 employees and the veterans they serve, the stakes could not be higher.
Let me explain. In the wake of last year's "secret waitlist" scandal - where VA managers rigged the scheduling system to make it appear that more veterans were being seen than actually were - Congress passed a law giving VA Secretary McDonald the authority to fire bad managers and the resources to hire enough staff to care for the massive influx of new vets into the VA system.
Were it not for the brave VA employee whistleblowers who put their careers on the line to speak out and expose the list-rigging, we never would have known the problem existed.
Today, the VA is seeing more patients than ever before while continuing to deliver quality, integrated care designed just for veterans. There is still a lot of progress to be made in filling the more than 40,000 job vacancies at VA medical facilities across the country, but the trend is undoubtedly headed in the right direction.
Now along comes Representative Jeff Miller and Senator Marco Rubio who saw an opportunity in the waitlist scandal; not an opportunity to improve access to care for veterans, but an opportunity to chip away at the basic rights to due process that protect all VA employees from discrimination and wrongful firing.
Miller and Rubio's proposals - H.R. 1994 and S. 1082 - would do away with those vital rights with the stroke of a pen. They do nothing to address the current $2.5 billion funding shortfall facing the VA; they do nothing to add new hospital beds or fill vacant positions. Their proposal instead would make every VA employee - doctors, nurses, benefit claims processors - at-will employees who can be fired at any time with little to no recourse.
But Miller and Rubio are not alone in pushing this dangerous agenda; they are doing so with the full backing of a "veterans organization" called Concerned Veterans of America, which was recently exposed as a Koch Brothers-funded front group in a scathing report. Unlike other veterans groups, CVA lobbies aggressively to privatize the health care veterans fought for, gut the rights of VA workers, and reduce veterans' benefits in the name of smaller government.
Front-line VA employees have consistently been the leading voice of real accountability as they provide care to America’s veterans. They should not live in fear that making lifesaving disclosures about patient harm and other mismanagement could lead to their termination.
H.R. 1994 and S. 1082 will only sustain a culture that the VA has worked hard to eradicate over the past year. They will lead to more retaliation against whistleblowers - not less - and fewer employees willing to stick their neck out to expose threats to patient care.
So let's be clear: these proposals are not about "holding the bad apples accountable." They're about exploiting a crisis in an attempt to Wal-Martize the federal government, and the veterans stand to lose the most as a result.
There is a better way, however. Representative Mark Takano and Sen. Richard Blumenthal, have introduced legislation, H.R. 2999 and S. 1856 respectively, to finally deliver the real accountability the VA sorely needs.
H.R. 2999 and S. 1856 preserve due process rights that protect whistleblowers from management retaliation. In instances where a non-management employee is a clear risk to public health, the Secretary is granted authority to remove them from the workplace immediately. It also reduces mismanagement by curbing cozy manager-contractor relationships and investing in management training and strict performance measures.
In other words, Takano and Blumenthal address the real problems plaguing the VA - not the political will of two out-of-touch billionaires and their cronies in Congress.
The dishonest and cynical labeling of Miller and Rubio’s bills masks the reality that they would undermine accountability in the VA rather than promote it. Given this, their bills have no place in our veterans' hospitals, the disability claims process, or the final resting places of our nation’s heroes.
it has never been about caring and protecting us vets by the republicans it's too costly we heard them say that, just like disaster relief and healthcare to the general public it's always about the cost however when it come to their agendas money is not problem look at the millions spent whipping the dead horse Benghazi and now they are gearing up for another swing and let's not forget ObamaCares pushing up on 60th tryto repeal are they keeping track of the tab????

send off to war in good shape and spirit get them back do they even know how they comeback i mean given they don't care if they did this article would not be appearing and i would not be pecking my keyboard about it.  keepers of the purse strings ought to be brought up on organized crime RICO that taxpayer money is being spent on republican propaganda not on the vets or the infrastructure or jobs or social programs and what little they do toss us they are trying to cut even further and we pay them a minimum of 174,000 dollars a year to screw us, some of us don't get to eat ketchup or meat because they give us food stamps, what's on their dinner tables???????

draft will have to be reinstated no one will be willing to fight for a country that cares so little about them, our past records Black slaves who did just that and look where we are today in America silenced by stealing our right to vote, murdered by those assigned to protect and a congress who wants nothing to do with us and doesn't really care if we get treatment or not just like the repression they caused they didn't care if it was repaired they refused to do anything and denied culpability.  greatest country in the world...................................................

Florida police in 'America's meanest city for the homeless' caught feeding a man like an animal

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/07/28/1406501/-Florida-police-in-America-s-meanest-city-for-the-homeless-caught-feeding-a-man-like-an-animal?detail=email

Randy Miller is a homeless man in Sarasota, Florida—once named America's meanest city for the homeless. He was recently arrested for trespassing and while he was detained, video cameras caught the arresting officer, Andrew Halpin, inhumanely treating Miller:
As he was being booked into the Sarasota County jail, an officer tossed peanuts into Randy Miller's mouth as if feeding a dog or an animal at the zoo.
Miller, intoxicated and handcuffed, was unable to catch them with his mouth. Several fell to the ground.
Minutes later, Miller slumped out of his chair and began eating the peanuts off the booking room floor. Sarasota Police Officer Andrew Halpin, who had thrown the nuts at Miller's mouth, kicked them with his boot toward Miller so he could better reach them on the floor.
A source familiar with Miller's July 18 arrest says Halpin was giving the homeless man "dog commands" during the incident.
Officer Halpin is now on paid administrative leave while his actions are investigated.
paid vacation again for the inhumane treatment of hey wait aren't they suppose to protect and serve the homeless too????  i'd like to see the part where it says serve by tossing kibble like to a dog.  everyday the more despicable they become i think the lack of prosecution and jail time and judicial figures supporting their murderous and deplorable acts and getting paid vacations for those atrocities have done nothing but emboldened them.

do they realize the police state they are building across the country will eventually bite them where they are biting victims, take a ticket you will be called when your number is up. despicable them

F**K Huckabee And Friends. The Reality Of Hitler

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/07/29/1406745/-F-K-Huckabee-And-Friends?detail=email

Persecution of the Mentally & Physically Disabled
Still, no nation carried sterilization as far as Hitler's Germany. The forced sterilizations began in January 1934, and altogether an estimated 300,000 to 400,000 people were sterilized under the law. A diagnosis of "feeblemindedness" provided the grounds in the majority of cases, followed by schizophrenia and epilepsy.
The usual method of sterilization was vasectomy and ligation of ovarian tubes of women. Irradiation (x-rays or radium) was used in a small number of cases. Several thousand people died as a result of the operations, women disproportionately because of the greater risks of tubal ligation.
In all, between 200,000 and 250,000 mentally and physically handicapped persons were murdered from 1939 to 1945 under the T-4 and other "euthanasia" programs. The magnitude of these crimes and the extent to which they prefigured the "Final Solution" continue to be studied. Further, in an age of genetic engineering and renewed controversy over mercy killings of the incurably ill, ethical and moral issues of concern to physicians, scientists, and lay persons alike remain vital.
Persecution of homosexuals

No one knows how many homosexual men were killed by the Nazis before and during the war. But let us look at some figures.
First, on the home front. The number of homosexual men (non-military) convicted under Paragraph 175 and sent to prison were:
    835 in 1933
    948 in 1934
    about 3700 in 1935
    5321 in 1936
    8721 in 1937
    8115 in 1938
    7614 in 1939
    3773 in 1940
    3735 in 1941
    2678 in 1942
996 in the first quarter of 1943
There are no civilian records for the remainder of 1943, nor for the years 1944 and 1945. To this — a total of nearly 50,000 — should be added a significant proportion of the 56,000 people subjected to "sterilizaton."
The persecution of the gypsies
Like the Jews, the Roma Gypsies were chosen for total annihilation solely because of their race.
Even though Jews are defined by religion, Hitler saw the Jewish people as a race that he believed needed to be completely annihilated.
Likewise, the Roma Gypsies were a nomadic people that were persecuted throughout history. Both groups were denied certain privileges in many European countries. The Germans believed both the Jews and the Gypsies were racially inferior and degenerate and therefore worthless.
The Gypsies were also moved into special areas set up by the Nazis and half a million of them - representing almost the entire Eastern European Gypsy population - was wiped out during the Holocaust
People of color
The Nazis set up a secret group, Commission Number 3, to organize the sterilization of these offspring to keep intact the purity of the Aryan race. In 1937, all local authorities in Germany were to submit a list of all the children of African descent. Then, these children were taken from their homes or schools without parental permission and put before the commission.
Once a child was decided to be of Black descent, the child was taken immediately to a hospital and sterilized. About 400 children were medically sterilized many times without their parents' knowledge.
The Persecution and Holocaust of the Jewish People
Spurred on by Joseph Goebbels, Nazis used the death of vom Rath as an excuse to conduct the first State-run pogrom against Jews.
Ninety Jews were killed, 500 synagogues were burned and most Jewish shops had their windows smashed. The first mass arrest of Jews also occurred as over 25,000 men were hauled off to concentration camps. As a kind of cynical joke, the Nazis then fined the Jews 1 Billion Reichsmarks for the destruction which the Nazis themselves had caused during Kristallnacht.
okay let's take a look at the extremes of the republican party and the White supremacist,

it's okay for police to kill mentally challenged people, congress does nothing to better their existence except arm them suggest mayhem and murder.

the on going refusal to obey the law bigotry and violence against LGB&T American citizens

not up on Gypsies sorry

Black People and sterilization and deliberate infection

so they are quick and the only ones to ever bring up Hitler they seem to have the fanatical obsession with all things Nazi they tattoo swastikas German iron cross on their bodies and they want to take their country back makes you go hmmmm??

Jewish people, suffice it to say the HOLOCAUST, Holocaust deniers and Anti Semitics

so did you notice any striking difference in the two entities of historic hate neither did i.  this is also why they make accusations of Nazism about the Progressives it's their staple blame others for what you do they talked about Pres. painting the WH black what would they do hang Nazi flags at the front gate and adorn the WH EXTERIOR WITH THEM AND PAINT SWASTIKAS AND GERMAN CROSSES AND hang pictures of hitler in every room????????

Republican pundit lying about Scott Walker's job numbers reappears on Ed Show to fess up

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/07/28/1406650/-Republican-pundit-lying-about-Scott-Walker-s-job-numbers-reappears-on-Ed-Show-to-fess-up?detail=email

A rarity occurred on TV today. Yesterday Genevieve Wood, Daily Signal Senior Contributor and GOP pundit appeared on the Ed Show. While discussing Scott Walker's employment record she did what Republicans are very good at doing on national TV.
She indiscriminately misinformed. She lied about the number of manufacturing jobs created under Scott Walker stating that he created 130,000 manufacturing jobs. An incredulous Ed Schultz disputed the numbers and she promised to provide him fact based government information.
Republican operatives generally are not concerned about giving misinformation. They know the misinformation would remain in the psyche of a few even when the truth is revealed. The Obamacare law, stimulus bill, and Iran nuclear agreement lies are probative.
On Tuesday Ed Schultz played a clip of Donald Trump decimating Scott Walker's record in Wisconsin. Donald Trump called Wisconsin a catastrophe from an economic stand point. Trump's analysis was not far off as Wisconsin is ranked 35th in private sector job creation.
Genevieve Wood did what very few Republican pundits do. She fessed up when she was caught. On Monday she was adamant that she was correct. Those watching her were likely to have believed her. On Tuesday she told Ed Schultz that he was right. As opposed to 130,000 manufacturing jobs being created, it was a puny 35,000 jobs created under Scott Walker.
we are seeing more republican right wingers step up and admit the myth of the republican prosperity agenda.  they destroyed it refused to help repair it and want to claim victory for any sign of recovery they also say is too slow and abysmal only way you get both is with lies.  i guess more and more are not willing to kill their careers over fighting for a losing org. always waiting for that other shoe of truth to drop on them.

as to Ms. Wood can't give kudo's for coming clean when your initial intent was to mislead and misinform, whether it was an act of conscious or covering her own butt it was still deception that could result in a leader that not only isn't a leader but unqualified and beholden to those who would buy America at any cost not to make it better but to better exploit it. recognize

Trump threatens America with potential administration post for Sarah Palin

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/07/28/1406583/-Trump-threatens-America-with-potential-adminstration-post-for-Sarah-Palin?detail=email

Donald Trump in Iowa, 2015

That rodent atop Donald Trump's head must be gnawing into his brain tissue. The Donald made an appearance on the Sarah Palin cult radio station MamaGrizzRadio and threatened to bring America to smouldering ruin by perhaps awarding ol' moose-for-brains a post in his administration once he becomes POTUS. No, seriously, he did.
After singing her praises for standing up to all the "disgusting lies" those media meanies spouted against poor put-upon Sarah, radio host Kevin Scholla asked Trump "if there is a Trump administration, could you see picking up the phone, giving the governor a call and picking her brain on some things, or perhaps having her along in some official capacity?"
Donny couldn't jump fast enough to exclaim "I mean, I'd love that because she really is somebody who knows what’s happening and she’s a special person, she’s really a special person and I think people know that.” He goes on to assert that "everyone loves her" before admitting that, well, maybe not everyone loves her but then again not everyone loves her, or even him, for that matter. They must be idiots.
we are being handed every reason not to vote for him by him.  in one way he's smart enough to go after the right wing concentrated on one's you know the ones G W Bush refers to when he said "you can fool some of the people all of the time and those are the ones you want to concentrate on" they are gullible an very receptive to hate and discrimination.

he is not so smart on the other hand because they are a diminishing faction and not enough when they were more prominent to pull off the 2008 or 2012 defeats by Pres. i has a lot to do with trying to be someone you are and are not that can go both ways

they are or are not the hateful bigots and racist they portray in primaries as well as the same in the generals either way they must shift from one to the other leaving their faithfuls with not really knowing who they are voting for making it more detrimental because mostly it's the special interest agenda and not that candidate they are just delivery men/women.

so threatening us with Palin although scary to even think but not as scary as both of them in gov. who's next bring back Michelle Bachmann now there is a real threat.  if you are still pondering click the links below do you want the 3 amigo's anywhere close to your gov't again or for the first time?????

Trump Had 'Meltdown' About Lawyer's Breast Pump: 'You're Disgusting!'

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/donald-trump-breast-pump-deposition

Ytjurb21ruuothpbixjb

Real estate mogul Donald Trump waits for no one, not even a new mother who needs to take a break to pump breast milk for her three-month-old child.
The New York Times reported late Tuesday on a testy exchange Trump had with opposing counsel - in a lawsuit over a failed Florida real estate venture - that exemplifies the billionaire's short temper. Trump flew off the handle when lawyer Elizabeth Beck requested an hour-long medical break to pump breast milk, according to a 2011 deposition obtained by the Times.
"You’re disgusting,” Trump told Beck before walking out of the room and closing out the day's testimony, as quoted by the newspaper.
Beck recounted what she referred to as Trump's "meltdown" in greater detail in a subsequent interview with CNN.
"He got up. His face got red. He shook his finger at me and he shouted 'You're disgusting! You're disgusting!'" Beck told CNN. "And he ran out of there. We were not able to conclude his deposition that day."
ED elephant dung he wasn't embarrassed he was looking for a way out and pulling out the breast pump landed in his lap,  might have been more believable had he not got all prudish not a trait he's ever exhibited.  we know by his own words he likes to cheat people in deals they were looking for a refund that goes against everything he holds holy in the Ferengi rules of aqusition i believe that to be rule number one.

‘You won’t believe how quickly he pulls his gun': Video shows campus cop kill Sam Dubose

http://www.rawstory.com/2015/07/you-wont-believe-how-quickly-he-pulls-his-gun-video-shows-campus-cop-kill-sam-dubose/

Sam Dubose (WLWT)

Authorities have released a body camera video that shows the events leading to the fatal shooting of an unarmed black motorist by a University of Cincinnati police officer.
Officer Ray Tensing was indicted for murder Wednesday in the death of 43-year-old Sam Dubose during a traffic stop.
The city manager and Cincinnati police chief both warned before the video’s release that it was “not a good situation,” and the Hamilton County prosecutor said it showed Tensing “should never have been a police officer.”
Video of the incident shows Tensing approach the car July 19 and ask Dubose for his driver’s license, but the driver does not do so.
Dubose insists he has a license and asks the officer to check his name to confirm, but he does not offer any explanation for why he cannot show his license.
Tensing asks about a bottle he can see inside the vehicle, and Dubose hands him a bottle of gin.
The officer asks him to be honest and admit if his license is suspended, but Dubose insists that his license is valid.
Tensing then asks Dubose to unbuckle his seat belt and step out of the car, and the driver starts to do so.
As he turns to unbuckle the seat belt, he apparently takes his foot off the brake, causing the car to move slightly.
The officer then draws his weapon and fires immediately, killing Dubose.
“He didn’t do anything violent to the officer, he wasn’t dragging him, and he intentionally pulled out his gun and shot him in the head,” said Prosecutor Joe Deters.
“He was making excuses for the purposeful killing of another person,” Deters said. “I’m not saying he’s smart, I’m saying that’s what I think he did.”
A warrant was issued for Tensing’s arrest, and the prosecutor said he was treating the officer as a murderer and repeatedly called for the university’s police department to be disbanded.
“He lost his temper because Mr. Dubose wouldn’t get out of his car,” Deters added. “When you see this you won’t believe how quickly he pulls his gun. Maybe a second — it’s incredible.”
why was he dragged what was he holding onto he couldn't release was the car started to roll??  lots of questions do campus police get same training for same length of time as regular police, why was he out of his jurisdiction making traffic stops i saw where it said they were permitted to help but from the aggression exhibited after non compliance was reminiscent of Sandra Bland's run in in Texas it is like they must pay the price for being uppity and talking back like a belligerent slave.

i just heard on MSNBC that there was evidence cop was not dragged and end of video shows him chasing after the car i didn't see it but it's late my eye is failing but i will check again if i still don't notice i'll let you know.  his being charged with murder is surprising but we still have no convictions or incarcerations of cops who killed a Black man yet.  oh body cam not as clearas i suspected in close encounters and rapid movement, tweak 'em up police

Why aren’t we as universally outraged over Sandra Bland’s death as we are over Cecil the lion?

http://www.rawstory.com/2015/07/why-arent-we-as-universally-outraged-over-sandra-blands-death-as-we-are-over-cecil-the-lion/

Sandra Bland (Facebook)

is a credit to humanity that we can be unified in outrage at the death of an innocent creature like Cecil the lion, the 13-year-old protected Zimbabwean lion who was illegally poached by wealthy midwestern dentist Walter Palmer last week.
However, one has to wonder why we cannot similarly come together to condemn the deaths of women of color who die in police custody like Sandra Bland.
The loss of a rare and beautiful creature like Cecil has stirred outrage from around the world. The only controversy seems to be which continent gets to prosecute Palmer first.
While a few mush-brained “Libertarian” types have come down on Palmer’s side, the bulk of the reaction to his crimes — which include bribing of wildlife officials — has been negative.
Not so the death of Sandra Bland, which has seen major network news anchors asserting that she could have used her lit cigarette as a weapon against the police. Others have argued that Bland only had her own “arrogance” to blame for the fact that she ended up dead in a prison cell over an improper lane change.
Or what about the other women of color who have died in police custody over the last two weeks?
In Alabama, 18-year-old Kindra Chapman was found dead in her cell on July 14, just hours after she had been booked into the Homewood City Jail. Officials say she hanged herself with a bed sheet.
Jefferson County District Attorney Brandon Falls released a statement this week that said, “At this time, I have seen no evidence of any criminal wrongdoing in the arrest and detention of Kindra Chapman, and I believe that her death is the result of a suicide.”
Mount Vernon, Maryland resident Raynetta Turner, 43, was arrested on a shoplifting charge Saturday and was found dead in her cell on Monday. She told arresting officers that she had medical issues. She was taken to a hospital and examined, then released back into police custody on Sunday night.
When police came to take the mother of 8 before the judge at 2 p.m. on Monday, she was found lying on her side in her cell, unresponsive. She was pronounced dead by paramedics.
“All I know is my wife is dead and no one is saying anything,” said her husband Herman Turner to WABC-TV.
In Cleveland, Ohio, 37-year-old Ralkina Jones was arrested on Friday night after a domestic dispute. Cleveland Heights Jail officials found her dead in her cell on Sunday morning, July 26.
Jones’ sister Renee Ashford told Cleveland.com, “One thing I can say about my sister is that she would want us to find out why, just why, like you can’t tell me one minute I see my sister and then the next day she’s dead.”
On Wednesday, July 22, South Carolina prison officials found 50-year-old Joyce Curnell unresponsive in her cell.
Charleston County Sheriff’s officers apprehended Curnell on a bench warrant over a shoplifting charge and she was booked into the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center on July 21. Her cause of death has yet to be determined.
Sure, wildlife are photogenic and apolitical. Cecil the lion never made a video for #BlackLivesMatter and half of the people in the U.S. aren’t trying to convince themselves that somehow Cecil deserved his fate.
And while African lions may be endangered, isn’t it time we admit that here in the U.S., black lives are endangered, too?
short and sweet my friends  this is the silent boom of a mic drop there it all is for your perusal.

This Critic Of Hillary Clinton's Climate Change Plan Should Actually Read It

http://mediamatters.org/blog/2015/07/29/this-critic-of-hillary-clintons-climate-change/204652

Hillary Clinton

If Mrs. Clinton really wants to fight climate change or cut carbon emissions, there are plenty of ways to go about it. She could fund research and development for battery storage. She could set emissions goals and let utilities or states decide the cheapest and best ways to meet them. She could allow more hydrofracturing that replaces coal-fired plants with cleaner oil and natural gas. But counting solar panels? Come on, Mrs. Clinton. Get serious.
But Clinton's proposal actually includes both of those things.
In a briefing fact sheet that she released as part of her climate change plan, Clinton announced that her "Clean Energy Challenge" would include funding "clean energy [research and development], including in storage technology" (emphasis added):
As part of the Clean Energy Challenge, Clinton will ensure that every part of the federal government is working in concert to help Americans build a clean energy future. This includes:
Innovation: Increase public investment in clean energy R&D, including in storage technology, designed materials, advanced nuclear, and carbon capture and sequestration. Expand successful innovation initiatives, like ARPA-e, and cut those that fail to deliver results.
And Clinton also confirmed that she would make it a "top priority" to defend and implement the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Clean Power Plan, which sets the first-ever federal limits on carbon pollution from power plants. As the EPA has explained, the Clean Power Plan involves "EPA setting a goal and the states deciding how they will meet it. Each state will choose the best set of cost-effective strategies for its situation."
Stoll's only other climate policy suggestion -- that Clinton "allow more hydrofracturing" -- ignores evidence that methane leaks may eliminate any of the potential climate benefits of extracting natural gas via hydraulic fracturing, also known as fracking. And Stoll's claim that oil-fired power plants are "cleaner" than coal-fired plants is an exercise in exceedingly low expectations, since the carbon-intensity of oil-fired plants is only marginally better.
this and the others should be a wake up for us we know these people are perpetually half cocked rushing to demean and never researching before polluting the air with lies and negativity.  they think the few moments of blissful sense of a strike becomes more of a permanent "you lie" and like every other it gets rebuked

in some cases over and over again but they can't do it once even though it's untrue they need to learn if you tell the truth, once is enough and you don't have to sit in a corner wearing a dunce hat.  when we hear them and it's negative good chance it's a lie, consider the record of the source.

Fox News suggests Sandra Bland could've used her lit cigarette as a weapon against police

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/07/27/1406149/-Fox-News-suggests-Sandra-Bland-could-ve-used-her-lit-cigarette-as-a-weapon-against-police?detail=email

Segment on Sandra Bland

I know. This is Fox News. They say ridiculous shit.
But this segment on Sandra Bland truly crosses the line. In it, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, without cracking a smile, suggests that Officer Brian Encinia may have been physically threatened by the flaming weaponized cigarette being smoked by Bland. Here's the conversation
HASSELBECK: But, what if, I mean, there are times, I'm sure, someone has, in the history of this land, used a cigarette against a police officer, maybe chucked it at him, pushed it at him.
RAFFERTY: Absolutely.
HASSELBECK: If he indeed felt it could be a potential threat, was that the wise thing to do?
it's possible that in the American existence that somebody may have flicked a cigarette in a cops face though that was not mentioned used as a weapon was, but how reasonable is it to assume this cop on a power trip armed to the teeth quick on the trigger was contemplating a cigarette attack and given his violent response of "i'll light you up" implies he was looking for a reason to show her who's the boss.

also for Hasselbeck to come up with it sounds more like scripted instructions then her having some kind of weird epiphany, there was also this, if cigarette was in an ashtray how was it a threat???????????  i also noticed at end of video as tow truck guy pulls off he fails to signal a lane change but was not pursued hmmmm
Then Encinia noticed that Bland had a cigarette in the ashtray and demanded that she put it out.

Halliburton subsidiary KBR suing veterans for legal bills of case KBR lost

A child looks at the prosthetic legs of Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball team members during a Memorial Day Parade in Binghamton, New York May 28, 2012. Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball team members are U.S. veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars who l

KBR, formerly known as Kellogg, Brown & Root, formerly a subsidiary of Halliburton, has decided to sue 12 National Guard veterans for $850,000 in lost legal fees.
After developing health problems consistent with hexavalent chromium exposure, the veterans sued KBR for negligence in Federal Court in Portland.  After a month long trial, the jury awarded the veterans $85 Million in 2012.  KBR appealed, and sought $30 Million in legal fees and damages from the veterans for initiating the lawsuit.
The soldiers, residents of Oregon and under orders from the Department of Defense, placed on loan to a private entity contracted by the DoD, sued in their home state in federal court, not state court.  They argued that a chemical used at the Qarmat Ali treatment facility had, to the knowledge of KBR, contaminated the site.  Remaining at the site without being informed of the presence of the cancer agent by DoD or KBR constituted negligence.  The Oregon jury agreed.
The case was the result of events from 2003 when KBR was officially a subsidiary of Halliburton. However, it wasn't until earlier this year when the Supreme Court said it was okay for veterans to sue the Houston-based company. So how come KBR can sue these veterans for legal fees, you might ask?
Oregon veterans and victims of toxic burn pit exposure linked to contractor Halliburton were devastated when the 9th Circuit overturned a landmark $85 million verdict. Soldiers contend they were knowingly exposed, but the allegations have obviously been denied.
Halliburton’s subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root (KBR) allegedly exposed soldiers to toxic burn pit smoke at Qarmat Ali. The 9th Circuit held that Oregon veterans were unable to hold KBR accountable in their home state. Instead, counsel for the veterans now plans to sue KBR in Houston.
So, it was overturned but not because KBR isn't still entirely responsible for making these soldiers ill because of their greed and/or incompetence. If you read the site you aren't surprised that anything with even the lightest hint of Halliburton stench on it is rotten to the core.
Unfortunately, this tactic of trying to crush people financially with mountains of litigation can frequently work. Oregon's representative delegation sans the one Republican have sent a letter to Defense Secretary Ashton Carter urging him to take over the litigation and settle with the 12 Oregon veterans. The letter outlines the biggest problem in all of this: the KBR contract with the Department of Defense immunizes the private contractor from any litigation.
Money is going to be spent on the part of this contractor who has already made several dozens of billions of dollars on the war in Iraq. They already have enough money to tie up sick veterans in litigation for years but they won't have to worry about using any of their money to do it. Just all of our money. Say what you will about the Obama administration, they have tried over the past few years to promote fixed contracts and companies like KBR have been bristling at the thought of having to actually run a private contracting business without having the deck stacked in their favor.
Fixed-price contracts and task orders are generally viewed as less risky and less expensive than cost-reimbursable work when the work to be done is well understood and limited in scope. The Obama administration made it a reform priority in 2009 to use more firm, fixed-price contracts and fewer cost-reimbursable contracts.
though not mentioned it's not realistic that Cheyney doesn't still have some control since it was formerly known as Haliburton his money machine.  the fact that they make billions make vets or anyone else sick and try to get out of it while sticking the victims with the bill, that my friends is the epitome of greed and more Cheyney like than one could imagine

the treatment plant located in Iraq those vets were there to protect Haliburton interest and now in thank they are sick and being sued for getting sick because of Haliburton's lack of concern and deregulated work place, where primary concern is don't destroy the oil fields just exploit them.

i have not been able to find the video since i saw it a few years ago you know i like to provide confirmation but trust me he said it for them not to destroy either the oil fields or refineries he was out side of a refinery and said it as an after thought in a speech to the troops but looked at the camera when he said it.

Cartoon: Cop shooter

makes it sound ridiculous when you reverse it, so why isn't it equally as ridiculous in the original circumstance???????????????????

Sandra Bland was Also Right

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/07/25/1405616/-Sandra-Bland-was-Also-Right?detail=email

On the video, after being told that she was being stopped for failure to signal a lane change, Ms. Bland tells the arresting officer, in essence, that she was getting out of his way; that she saw his squad car coming up behind her in a hurry, and she moved over to let him by. That's exactly what she should have done in the circumstances, and doing so did not violate Texas law. It also did not justify the stop.
The portion of the Texas statutes known as The Rules of the Road can be found at:
http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/...
It reads much like the traffic code in my state and in most other states that I have read and studied. The section of it that covers the signalling of lane changes provides:
Sec. 545.104.  SIGNALING TURNS;  USE OF TURN SIGNALS.  (a)  An operator shall use the signal authorized by Section 545.106 [the vehicle's lighted turn signal or a hand signal] to indicate an intention to turn, change lanes, or start from a parked position.
Nothing ambiguous about that requirement. However, there is another provision that mandates what a driver is to do when being approached by a police vehicle:
Sec. 545.156.  VEHICLE APPROACHED BY AUTHORIZED EMERGENCY VEHICLE.  (a)  On the immediate approach of an authorized emergency vehicle using audible and visual signals that meet the requirements of Sections 547.305 and 547.702 [lights and sirens], or of a police vehicle lawfully using only an audible signal, an operator, unless otherwise directed by a police officer, shall:
(1)  yield the right-of-way;
(2)  immediately drive to a position parallel to and as close as possible to the right-hand edge or curb of the roadway clear of any intersection; and
(3)  stop and remain standing until the authorized emergency vehicle has passed.
First, under subsection (2), "immediately" means just that. Not after the driver scratches her head, or turns down the radio, or signals a lane change, or does anything else, but get over to the far right now, first thing. That's what it says. What lane the driver may be moving from is irrelevant.
The waters are somewhat muddied in these circumstances, however, because there is no evidence on the video that the officer was running with lights or sirens as he came up behind Ms. bland's car, and Section 545.156 mandates immediately pulling over when the emergency vehicle is using at least an audible signal. That said, what Ms. Bland, looking in her rear view mirror (which, according to her statement to the officer in the video, is what she was doing) did see the police car do is this:
-It made an illegal u-turn, starting from from the far right lane, beyond even the solid white line (a bike lane?), almost to the right curb, and then across the right lane, the designated turning lane, and the oncoming lane, and then well into both lanes of the perpendicular street, before completing it. See Section 545.101. There is no indication if this turn was first signalled by the officer or not, another potential violation here.
-It was speeding. The video reveals that this is a 20 MPH zone. Whatever speed the  squad car was actually going, given how fast the trees fly by and he catches up to her, he was doing more than 20.
But other sections of the Texas code say that the police can ignore these and most other traffic laws when they need to. They're supposed to use lights, or at least a siren, when they do, per Section 546.003, but even then they are given broad discretion to not use them. Section 546.004 essentially gives them discretionary carte blanche to do so.
So, here's what Sandra Bland's circumstances were at the time: She sees a squad car pull a sudden and radical u-turn and speed up behind her. It is maneuvering like it's on its way to an emergency. We see from the video, from when she first makes her right turn onto the street on which she was stopped, that her windows are rolled up, blocking outside noise.
It is in the 90's in Waller County that day, so it's safe to assume that her air conditioning was on, adding more inside background noise to her environment. Maybe her radio was on as well. Is this squad car she sees coming up behind her like this running a siren, and she just can't hear it yet? Or is the officer exercising his discretion and not using it at all?
Either way, her safest and most reasonable maneuver is to do just what she did: get out of his way. It was obviously not a lane change under Section 545.104. She didn't need to change lanes. It was a move-over under Section 545.156. No signal required, or even permitted
we all have at some point after driving for a few years or less have had occasion to move over when an emergency vehicle or cop car approaches at a fast speed we pull to the right and allow it unimpeded passage and i can't believe we all use a signal to change to a what mostly are not lanes but curbs.

the article saiys he was going faster than 20 mph but when he got to her he was that tells me she wasn't speeding and the fact that he spotted her u turned and pursued insinuates there was an ulterior motive because the only thing he stopped her for reportedly was failing to signal a lane change which we saw in pics was not a lane change as much as abiding the law and moving out of the way to the curb

i know a signal would be required but as stated at the officer's discretion which again begs the question what did he u turn and run her down for since what he claimed happened after his initial decision to go after her??????

3 weeks after burning a Confederate flag in a grill, a Colorado mom arrested at midnight

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/07/27/1406168/-3-weeks-after-burning-a-Confederate-Flag-in-a-grill-police-arrest-a-Colorado-mom-at-midnight??detail=email

Burned Confederate Flag from Colorado rally

On this past Fourth of July, Patricia Cameron helped lead a rally with a Confederate flag-burning. This was a week before it officially came down at the South Carolina State House. Cameron and others lit the flag on fire in a grill at a public park. Almost three weeks later, at nearly midnight, when she and her 8-year-old son were both asleep, the police arrived at her home to arrest her.
The particular park she used doesn't allow grills.
Yeah, really.
Why in the hell would police show up at almost midnight to confront and arrest a woman over a park violation? In an interview with Daily Kos, Cameron told us why:
"They said it was because that was the only time the officer could get there, but I know that officer well. I have filmed him during multiple encounters between us. We are far from friends. I think it was intimidation, and I think that officer wanted to finally shut me up. And this was his way of showing dominance and power over me."
She said, "At almost midnight, alone with my son, thinking of all those names, Sandra Bland included...all I could think was I was going to become another hashtag."
Even the department admitted that the time it was served wasn't normal, but gave a canned reason why it happened that way:
Manitou Springs Police spokeswoman Odette Saglimbeni says an officer showing up late at night to issue an arrest summons isn't common for the department.
“It sort of happened to be that time of night when it happened,” she told The Daily Beast about Cameron's late-night wake-up call. Officers, she said, might have been preoccupied during the rest of the day with other duties. “They were just not able to get out there until that time.”
i agree it sounds like a power play she stated filming him specifically several times cops don't like that kind of attention we have seen what they have done to some people from assault to breaking their cameras.  check out the demographics

Mika Brzezinski's on-air reaction to Huckabee's ugly "oven" comment .

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/07/27/1406073/--Mika-Brzezinski-s-on-air-reaction-to-Huckabee-s-ugly-oven-comment?detail=email#

It's a deal breaker: It should be OVER for him.
Ms. Brzezinski became emotional - and disgusted - when reading, apparently for the first time, the ugly diatribe Huckabee released about Obama's Iran deal, using the "march them to the oven doors' comment.
She appears to not have been aware this doofus had said this crap: she is reading the news and the comment on air and she stops for a moment and you can hear the unvarnished truth of her reaction to heinous words spoken by somebody ACTUALLY running for the Presidency of the USA.
Mika Brzezinski’s amazing emotional takedown of Mike Huckabee.
“Oh God,” she said, sounding physically repulsed. “I had not read it until this moment and I am horrified.”
Later in the morning, Morning Joe paused their regular programming to allow Brzezinski to address the remarks.
“Here’s the response that I have to Huckabee’s comments. If you’ve been to Auschwitz, if you’ve been to Birkenau, if you’ve been to any of these places where people were killed and you see the piles of glasses, the piles of hair, the piles of shoes and the piles of clothes,” she said as she began to choke up. “And every bit of their humanity that had to be stripped away, handed over as they went and burned to their deaths among other things, it’s really not a good comment to say.”
“It’s a deal breaker!” Brzezinski gasped. “It should be over for him. You don’t say that. And by the way, if you said it by mistake, that’s a sign of who you really are.”
if this is the response of the majority of Jewish voters he as well as his party ought to be done between Hispanics, Native Americans, Blacks, LGB&T, whose left to vote for them but those to blind to see the targets on their backs when walking behind each other.

to use such a reference is extremely offensive many deny it skin heads, extreme right wing (republicans) and haters without a cause my point they have been going around parroting this love for Israel when actually what they love is their right wing counterpart Netanyahu and his saber waving gives new meaning to brothers in war, if the PM were more liberal minded they would see Israel as no more important than Black lives.
