the title says it all, they are not serious how can they say that after he's bent over again "the people just have to deal with it because he should have done it when we wanted him to", they wouldn't have taken it if he added he would step down, it's about denying him.
take a good look at why we are where we are today, and realize had it not been for Pres. we wouldn't be able to imagine ow bad it can be.
For Republicans, it’s too little and too late.
As word leaked of President Barack Obama’s plan to include entitlement tweaks when he unveils his budget next week, Congressional Republicans on Friday said it won’t bring Washington any closer to a grand bargain on the deficit.
Republicans argue that Obama’s decision to include “chained CPI” — a formula that slows the growth rate of Social Security benefits — doesn’t go far enough to overhaul entitlements and cut spending. They’re especially adamant because they raised taxes without cutting spending in the fiscal cliff deal.
As far as they’re concerned, any budget compromise needs to include significant changes to entitlements, and far less than $9 billion in tax hikes supposedly in the president’s plan.
it's all about them not wanting the poor or elderly or disabled to have anymore then the minimum but they want Exxon Mobil to get corporate welfare in the middle of record profits.
chained CPI would slow SS down allowing time to come up with a better plan they don't want to buy us time is it sinking in this is not going to go good for us, unless 2014.
Chained CPI, a senior GOP leadership aide said Friday, “is kind of like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.”
they are only interested in screwing it up so they can rush in a privatize, like tey are trying to do with the postal system.
