Fox's Ingraham: Registering Ferguson Residents To Vote Is Part Of "The Politics Of Division"

http://mediamatters.org/video/2014/09/02/foxs-ingraham-registering-ferguson-residents-to/200611

my friends seems they haveit backwards registering to vote is respect for rights to vote does not divide brings together those of like minds, suppressing the voter, gerrymandering districts, voter roll purging, ID restrictions, misleading voters as to where to vote or what date to vote, restricting times and hours that is "THE POLITICS OF DIVISION" republican style.

IMO they are upset because their sanctioned murder of another Black kid has resulted in backfire and those who have maintained that status quo, might not be in office next time.  DOJ needs to keep a presence they will not give up their position of power over the 70 % Black population, this can get very ugly, uglier than it is now.

Reported Central Contentions Of New Benghazi Book Already Debunked

http://mediamatters.org/blog/2014/09/02/reported-central-contentions-of-new-benghazi-bo/200607

Hillary Clinton

A new book that seeks to damage Hillary Clinton over the 2012 attacks in Benghazi reportedly relies on long-debunked conservative myths.
On September 9, WND Books will publish Aaron Klein's The REAL Benghazi Story: What the White House and Hillary Don't Want You to Know. The book's release is the latest salvo from a conservative cottage industry that aims to make money and political hay out of both Benghazi and Clinton smears.
Klein, a senior reporter for the birther site WND, is not a credible author -- one of his recent books portrayed President Obama as a "Manchurian Candidate" whose autobiography was ghostwritten by Bill Ayers.
The Washington Examiner's Paul Bedard, who reviewed an advance copy of Klein's Benghazi book, reported that Klein argues "Clinton was unwilling to provide additional security to the diplomatic outpost and even played a role in sending Stevens to his 'doomed mission.'"

Klein's contention that Clinton "was unwilling to provide additional security to the diplomatic outpost" seems to reference the long-debunked conservative claim that the then-Secretary of State personally signed off on cables rejecting requests for additional security. When congressional Republicans first made that claim in April 2013, diplomatic reporters noted that every cable sent to the State Department from overseas facilities is addressed to the secretary, and every cable sent from the State Department is signed by the secretary, even though the secretary rarely reviews them.
In her 2014 memoir, Clinton wrote that she had never seen the cables in question, stating, "That's not how it works. It shouldn't. And it didn't."
Klein's claim that Clinton "played a role in sending Stevens" to his death in Benghazi has also been debunked. The State Department's Accountability Review Board reported that Stevens "made the decision to travel to Benghazi independently of Washington, per standard practice," with the trip's timing "driven in part by commitments in Tripoli." Gregory Hicks, who was Stevens' deputy, also testified before Congress that the ambassador "chose to go" to Benghazi.
let's face it there are only a few things that can explain the impunity with which they put misinformation out to actually their base speaks to either they think the rest of us are too stupid to realize it's a proven lie, or they are too stupid to think we wouldn't, either way their base gets it any stragglers on the fence of reality could be pulled to the dark side.

all that's good but what you should maybe concentrate on is they have, are and will lie to you how do you feel you can trust and vote for those who's survival depends on deceiving you? Nov. 4th strike back at those who see you as the monkey with the cymbals.

their own people have exonerated the Obama admin of guilt in Benghazi but zealots are operating in the insane lane.

"Either Convert Them Or Kill Them": Hannity Turns To Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson On Islamic State's Beheadings

http://mediamatters.org/video/2014/09/02/either-convert-them-or-kill-them-hannity-turns/200613

this gives you insight in to where right wing gets support for their misinformation, most media shows get someone with political bona fides, not someone with fleas and the hots for young girls.  it shows they turn to other racist of ill repute to make their version of news and the base well we know they can't wait to hear what he has to say. unfortunately it's the same thing he's always said bigots and racial haters are committing blasphemy when evoking the Lords name while embracing the evil they are trying to deny.  Hannity said they have a hard time understanding evil, could it be because they have trouble with excepting the blame for what and who they are?  quoting Scripture and holding  a Bible which his words and actions conflict themselves, he is as Hannity and Fox frauds.

Adding up the billions wasted by the House Republicans

House Republicans Show Their Shutdown CardsCartoons of the day: Immigration and the Republican Party

How much have the Republicans cost the taxpayer, directly and in terms of hindered economic potential, since they took over the House in 2010?
A few days ago, the price tag was announced for the Republican lawsuit against the president. House Administration Chairwoman Candice S. Miller, R-Mich., said the firm Baker Hostetler has been contracted to represent the Republican House in the district court civil suit. According to the contract, the lawsuit will cost up to $350,000, billed at a rate of $500 per hour.
TOTAL: $350,000
In 2011, the House Republicans engaged in a prolonged showdown with the administration over the raising of the debt ceiling, a procedure which, up till then, was largely considered a formality. The Government Accountability Office (GAO) estimated that the delay in raising the debt ceiling increased government borrowing costs by $1.3 billion in 2011. The Conference Board’s Consumer Confidence index plunged from 59.2 in July 2011 to 45.2 in August in the wake of the debt standoff and credit downgrade. The index didn’t recover to its July level until December.
TOTAL: $1,650,000
From October 1 through 16, 2013, the Federal Government entered a shutdown and curtailed most routine operations after the Republican led Congress failed to enact legislation appropriating funds for fiscal year 2014. During the shutdown, approximately 800,000 federal employees were indefinitely furloughed and another 1.3 million were required to report to work without known payment dates.
The financial services company Standard & Poors estimated that the shutdown, which lasted just over two weeks, cost $1.5 billion per day, took a total of $24 billion out of the U.S. economy, and shaved 0.6% off fourth-quarter GDP growth.
Here’s a breakdown of some of the economic cost:
About $3.1 billion in lost government services, according to the research firm IHS.
$152 million per day in lost travel spending, according to the U.S. Travel Association.
$76 million per day lost because of National Parks being shut down, according to the National Park Service.
$217 million per day in lost federal and contractor wages in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area alone.
Hundreds of thousands of federal workers bore the economic brunt of the shutdown. But small businesses also suffered from frozen government contracts and stalled business loans. Tourism suffered from closed national parks, and military families had to cope without childcare and other services.
TOTAL: $25,000,650,000
Almost continuously, since 2012, the Republican controlled House has been investigating the attack on the American consulate in Benghazi. “The Department has devoted thousands of man-hours to responding to the numerous and often repetitive congressional requests regarding Benghazi,” Assistant Secretary of Defense for Legislative Affairs Elizabeth King said in a letter to Congress in March. That estimate included “time devoted to approximately 50 congressional hearings, briefings, and interviews which the Department has led or participated in.” King estimated that total cost of compliance with Congress’ requests to the Pentagon and other agencies runs “into the millions of dollars.”

"we are not going to give Obama a blank check", that misleading leaves out what they tout as them being the purse string holders which means Pres. can spend nothing they don't sign off on, making them the final say on what's spent.

they attack spending blaming again Pres., and taking no responsibility as to those who signed the check.  just more lies and misleading information your republican party has engaged in let's just deal with the last 6 years, Bush years are still being counted.

now there is talk of another gov't shutdown if Pres. doesn't bend to their will. which is exec action on immigration that they really don't want doesn't happen, way to inspire Hispanic voters to their side.
over 25 billion before are they hoping to beat that number?

In May, the Republicans formed a special committe to reinvestigate Benghazi – the recently released budget for the house committee is $5,650,000 – bigger than the budgets for the committees on Veteran’s affairs, Intelligence and the budget itself.
TOTAL: $25,008,300,000
When House Republicans voted on a resolution calling on the Department of Justice to appoint a special counsel for the IRS investigation, House Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member, Rep. Sander Levin (D-MI) responded by saying, “The IRS has spent more than $14 million in taxpayer money accommodating Republican requests, turning over more than 600,000 pages of documents, none of which substantiate the GOP’s wild attempt from the get-go to tar the administration.”
GRAND TOTAL: $25,022,300,000
Its amazing that a fiscally conservative party has contrived to spend or waste this much money.
tired of being used and lied to, they use you to get in position to do these things and lie to convince you they are right, than abandon you till next election cycle which make those who vote for them a number of negative adjective names, remember they are the party of stupid.  take back your life should supersede taking back a country that never belonged to you, it belongs to aside from Native Americans the rich, you can be shut out anytime the choose, and last 6 years they have chosen to do just that. Nov. 4th recognize and exercise your vote, your desire your right.

Girl Beat Up On Playground: Kindergarten Student Viciously Attacked, Sustains Severe Injuries Read more at http://www.inquisitr.com/1445290/girl-beat-up-on-playground-kindergarten-student-viciously-attacked-sustains-severe-injuries/#BRfXQG73ifCxMBjG.99

http://www.inquisitr.com/1445290/girl-beat-up-on-playground-kindergarten-student-viciously-attacked-sustains-severe-injuries/

As photos clearly show, Avalynn has a number of contusions on her eyes and to the right-side of her face. She has excessive swelling that prevents her right eye from opening. The top of her lip is swollen as well.

This is what the Facebook page reads:
“AvaLynn informed Lacey that she was assaulted by another student: that she was kicked repeatedly in the face until she fell off of the slide on the school’s playground. The school informed Lacey were no teachers present when the incident occurred, and because of that, no one could prove whether or not another student had harmed Ava.”
Harris also wrote:
“There is a need for repeat CT scans, specialist visits to an ENT, ophthalmologist and quite possible orthopedics for her little face.”

The Pascagoula School District issued this statement about the incident:
“A student was injured while playing on the playground at Arlington Elementary School Tuesday afternoon.School officials responded to the situation. The parent was contacted and the student received medical treatment. No other children were involved in the incident. The Pascagoula School District remains committed to the safety of all its students.”
not exactly what the first story reported which was there was no authoritative adult present ad that her injuries were obtained from falling on the ground, most of us have fallen on the playground when little it leaves abrasions scraping of skin there are only impact marks, if you were to except that excuse than she would have had to fall only on her face with greater impact at her eyes which IMO would have to have her literally on her face with no other part touching the ground, not even a knee or hand scrape reported.

this sounds like other attacks on people that the events as reported by those in charge do not correspond with the end result of injury or death,  will this start a trend of kindergartner's becoming the new prominent bullies?  sounds like there was a problem with her being on the slide and the only way the other kid could rectify it was through extreme violence, where did they learn that?

this is another incident that should be overseen by federal law enforcement given the blatant misleading as to how she ended up looking like the picture shows.

School Claims This Girl’s Injuries Came From Falling On The Playground

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2014/09/01/school-claims-this-girls-injuries-came-from-falling-on-the-playground/

bullying-avalynn

A little girl came home from school last week with a bloody nose and massive bruises to her face. When the school was asked about it, they shrugged it off as simply an innocent playground fall. One look at her injuries and it’s pretty clear that there is no way a fall could have done so much damage.
Unsurprisingly, the 5-year-old girl named AvaLynn has a very different story than the one the school went with. According to her account, another child repeatedly kicked her in the face while she was playing on a slide. After several blows, she let go and fell to the ground. The mother, Lacey Harris, says that Arlington Elementary School denies this despite admitting that no teacher was present at the time of the incident and have no real way of knowing what happened.

Concerned friends and family of AvaLynn set up a Facebook page called “Justice for AvaLynn” to document Harris’ fight for answers and to spread the word. Their efforts appear to be working. On Friday, the hashtag “#JusticeforAvaLynn” began trending on Twitter and the pictures of girl’s injuries were shared around the world. Several prominent people picked up on the story, including an author named Zane, who shared it with his nearly one million Facebook followers. One of his readers claims she is from the same town as the girl and appears to corroborate the account that AvaLynn’s family has been saying.

sorry I can't help but wonder is this another child being taught to hate Blacks or that fighting is okay at such a young age.  and if she fell on the playground where are the abrasions I see nothing but impact wounds.  the fact that there was no teacher or guardian present is suspicious in itself not to mention derelict, and open to suit, which I hope they do, it should include payments for physiological harm that has to be terrorizing for a 5 year old.  if ever a phrase said so much it would be " a picture is worth a thousand words".

how can the say the attack did not happen they admitted they weren't there.  God Bless the beautiful little Black girl.  I've seen professional boxers go 15 rounds back in the day and not look like this after losing.  they are withholding the name of the school but if this school is this negligent shouldn't the public and potential students parents know?

looks like i was jumping the gun maybe, i failed to read further i guess my disgust with the look of a 5 year old being beaten over rode my ability to read more, sorry really i am.  but this was in Mississippi and i got up in their record toward Black people.

Hey Zane
I’m from the same town as AvaLyn my child attends the same school. He said at recess she was fighting another student. He was unsure of who hit who first he says a boy kicked her in the face and she fell off the slide. The school she attends is a great school. I wouldn’t go so far as to call the teachers negligent when they have 20 plus students to keep an eye on. Accidents happen this isn’t a case of bullying it’s 2 students fighting and 1 got hurt. I don’t know the child who hit her first nor do I know AvaLynn parents so I’m not taking sides. Calling for him to get expelled is a bit much. He needs to have consequences but explosion a bit much.
The idea that this isn’t an example of bullying is questionable, but if this account is true (and it can’t be independently verified, because Zane withheld the author’s name), the writer’s son confirms that a boy kicked her in the face and she fell down the slide – exactly the same story that AvaLynn told her mother after the incident.
will try to follow and correct myself where needed.

Why Even Uber-Conservative States Are Now Bending On Obamacare

Zdbqnpmjwinyhx8wzgpl

Few states are as conservative as Wyoming. Nearly 70 percent of its voters went for Mitt Romney in 2012. Out of 90 legislative seats, 78 are held by Republicans. A Republican governor. It also epitomizes the independent streak found in the West, defined by a deep distrust of the federal government.
But even there, state officials are starting to open up to the idea of expanding Medicaid under Obamacare. The legislature requested earlier this year that Gov. Matt Mead (R) meet with the Obama administration to discuss the state's options. Mead's office told TPM that the governor met with staff from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for the first time in July. Mead said recently that he would present expansion options to the legislature early next year.
"At the end of the day, the expansion failed the first time because of that federal distrust and general disdain for the current administration," state Sen. Chris Rothfuss (D), who has been a leading proponent of the expansion, told TPM. "It doesn't matter who's in the White House. The state of Wyoming is not fond of the federal government. But right now, it's probably even worse."

Momentum Moves Towards Democrats As Republicans Get Worried About the 2014 Election

boehner-pelosi-gavel

Republicans have moved beyond nervousness and into flat out worry as the nation heads into the homestretch of the 2014 election. At the House level, Republicans are being outspent and their candidates are underperforming compared to 2010.
Politico interviewed a dozen Democratic and Republican strategists who all agreed that at best Republicans will pick up five seats in the House.
The strategists also agreed on other main points,
Republicans are convinced they’ll be significantly outspent by Democrats — in contrast to the 2010 midterm election when the GOP overwhelmed their opponents with an avalanche of cash.
GOP strategists are particularly worried about the performance of a handful of candidates who are well positioned to win but seen as running poor campaigns. Three candidates are mentioned repeatedly: Florida Rep. Steve Southerland, Nebraska Rep. Lee Terry and Virginia Republican Barbara Comstock.
Nearly a year after the government shutdown, Republicans privately say the party’s tattered public image is dragging down candidates in key races.

their problem is their "PRINCIPLES" formerly know as "VALUES",  JUST BECAUSE THEY CHANGED THE NAME DOES NOT CHANGE THEIR MOTIVES.  they will forever flounder as long as they can't get out of their own quagmire of deceit and arrogance and hostility to all who they see as different when they look in a mirror.  White political haters and bribes attract the same type constituents thank God they are few in numbers.  this counters all the poll quoting crap that they have such a good chance to take over everything again are we going to let someone else dictate our future or our motivation?  Nov. 4th be there.

Pennsylvania Makes Public 243 Cases of Fracking Contaminated Water

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/08/29/1325694/-Pennsylvania-Makes-Public-243-Cases-of-Fracking-Contaminated-Water?detail=email

Sherry Vargson, of Granville Summit, PA, lighting her fracking-contaminated tap water.

The state of Pennsylvania has released redacted details of 243 cases of water contamination caused by fracking and related activities by the natural gas industry. Claims made by the fracking industry that they have not contaminated water are utter rubbish. These 243 cases which took place in Pennsylvania between 2008 and 2014 involve a wide range of contamination problems including the contamination of multiple water supply wells by one fracking operation.  State officials did not indicate how many more cases of contamination may have occurred since 2008 that are not included in this list.
The 243 cases, from 2008 to 2014, include some where a single drilling operation impacted multiple water wells. The problems listed in the documents include methane gas contamination, spills of wastewater and other pollutants, and wells that went dry or were otherwise undrinkable. Some of the problems were temporary, but the names of landowners were redacted, so it wasn't clear if the problems were resolved to their satisfaction. Other complaints are still being investigated

remember Michelle Bachmann and her rant against ObamaCares, well she got the words right but again the wrong subject that her party happens to support. and it happens to be endangering a lot more lives then ObamaCares.
Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) (Photo by Win McNamee/Getty Images)

"Repeal this failure before it literally kills women, kills children, kills senior citizens,"
Bachmann suggested Washington should stop the carnage before it's too late.
"Let's love people, let's care about people, let's repeal it now while we can," she said.

Kochs to Republicans: All your voters belong to us

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/08/28/1325432/-Kochs-to-Republicans-All-your-voters-belong-to-nbsp-us?detail=email

David Koch, executive vice president of Koch Industries, attends an Economic Club of New York event in New York, December 10, 2012.  REUTERS/Brendan McDermid (UNITED STATES - Tags: BUSINESS POLITICS) - RTR3BFKF

Recriminations flew within the Republican party after Mitt Romney's ignominious 2012 defeat, with many in the path pointing to the Democrats' much more sophisticated ground operation, based on a well-developed, tested technology. In a nutshell, their voter database. The fight that ensued involved "tea party upstarts, nonpartisan data geeks, operatives linked to the Koch brothers and insiders like Karl Rove." It also involved competing Republican entities—the Republican National Committee vs. the National Republican Congressional Committee vs. state and local party committees and individual campaigns—as this great backgrounder from the Huffington Post details.
The RNC has been working on creating a program called Beacon. The key part of that sentence is "working on," because the program isn't ready and campaigns need it. Campaigns have been going their own way with diverse private vendors, including one called Themis which has a system called i360. That poses a problem for the RNC because they then don't have access to the databases of voters that the campaigns are identifying. But the RNC is coming up against a behemoth foe.

Beacon is intended to open up the RNC voter file to as many new apps and programs want to interface with it. But when campaigns, or worse, state parties, use i360, that is a problem for the RNC, because i360 is more than an app. It has its own voter file. And so every state party that uses i360 is sending out field staffers—paid for with RNC money, funneled through the state parties—to collect data that goes back not to the RNC, but to the Koch-brothers owned subsidiary.

That problem for the RNC just got resolved and you won't be surprised at all to learn that the Koch brothers won.
A secretive data and technology company linked to conservative oil billionaires Charles and David Koch has reached an agreement to share its information with the “voter file and data management company” that holds an exclusive agreement with the Republican National Committee. This will allow the Republican Party full access to voter data collected by the Koch’s Freedom Partners entities and clients—and entrenches the Kochs’ network even deeper into the GOP.

this should make any real American run either to the Dems or Ind. any where away from a party they bought in to that is bought by the Koch's, that explains why those in that -party base don't see anything resembling caring for them like in the Progressive party, they are paying the piper back and therefore that agenda is all they pursue, Pres. is number one because of veto power all the deregulation and loopholes won't survive with the Progressive's but will trample and be destroyed by the republicans leaving Koch's to do as they please with no consideration of health, wages or work place condition.

they have people in  the coal industry up in arm's playing them defending it while dying of black ling and other respiratory  diseases, they will kill you for a dollar and kick your dead carcass aside and replace with the next gullible soul.  green fuels and that industry is the future most coal miners could die before that happens, others by contaminated water by product of the industry making people sick now for decades, but it's their choice die for someone else or live to see your grand kids and great grands, again their choice.

but it's your choice to be free and have your vote count for what you voted for not what Charles Koch wants it to be, take your own reigns. recognize

Sam Brownback names AfP General Counsel to Kansas Supreme Court Bench

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/08/29/1325700/-Sam-Brownback-names-Koch-Employee-to-Kansas-Supreme-Court-Bench?detail=email

Kansas appeals court Judge Caleb Stegall, a staunch abortion opponent critical of a landmark school-funding case, was named to the state’s high court on Friday by Gov. Sam Brownback. Brownback culminated Stegall’s meteoric rise through the judicial ranks less than a year after nominating his former legal counsel to a seat on the Kansas Court of Appeals. Brownback selected Stegall for the Kansas Supreme Court over fellow appeals court Judge Karen Arnold-Burger of Overland Park and District Judge Merlin Wheeler.
That's right.  Someone with exactly one year on the bench has made a meteoric rise to the top of the legal profession in Kansas, and of course we know there have to be some fine credentials behind it.

this is how republicans insure the life of their agenda they fool some into voting them in then they set about appointing their people to the control positions assuring they get the vote to continue their pillaging of the Americans and their dreams.  look what the SCOTUS has done to the majority of Americans because they control the majority of the vote that interprets or should I say misinterpret the law so it benefits their party and big money.  WE NEED TO GET ON THE BALLOT NO MORE LIFETIME APPOINTMENTS OF ANYTHING THAT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO CONTROL OUR LIVES.

to add insult to injury they appoint those who go along to get along which are incompetent and incapable of being their own person just a whore for big business, and pimps for "we the people".

Republicans tone down Benghazi talk as elections near

http://news.yahoo.com/republicans-tone-down-benghazi-talk-as-elections-near-042821732.html

Just four months ago, the future chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi delighted core elements of the Republican base when he declared that the panel would be probing “what appears to be a White House cover-up.”
Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina said he had secret evidence proving that President Obama’s administration had deliberately withheld key documents from lawmakers looking into the Sept. 11, 2012 attack in the eastern Libyan city.

"I have evidence that not only are they hiding it, there’s an intent to hide it,” he told Fox News in May. “I can’t disclose that evidence yet, but I have evidence that there was a systematic intentional decision to withhold certain documents from Congress and we’re just sick of it.”

Now, with the 2014 mid-term elections fast approaching and the panel’s first hearing slated for September, the former prosecutor from Spartanburg, S.C., is taking a more tempered, bipartisan tone. He has declared that he wants to avoid a media “circus.” Other House Republicans are sending out similar signals, denying that their creation of the special panel ever was political in nature

as long as Issa has been tilting at windmills with his "EVIDENCE" and has yet to unveil it you would think in light of the laughter at him and his passion to get the goods on Pres. that he claimed to already have he would have released and had the last laugh.  now we have another got in his mold doing the same thing claiming "EVIDENCE" but not wanting to release it now, well folks their intent is to put the accusation out there and let it serve as the condemnation and proof.

you would think gerrymandering, voter suppression, id challenges and their deception would be enough but IMO their knowing it to be lies are worried they won't be enough so we get these attempts to tarnish with criminal acts you know those things that a lot of their prospects for 2016 are facing now?  they are backing off because big money sees no end to the tunnel they are in and bank rolling is diminishing so they back off blaming the media of over embellishing you know what they have been doing since 2008 before Pres. took office, and they are still leaping without looking.

note with no regard for claims of fiscal responsibility, they are the purse string holders but they seem to have released their grip because Issa has spent millions on your money, who knows how much the new lunatic will get for evidence neither has been able to produce.  they are playing a shell game and they lost the pea.

How does a police department lose a Humvee?

http://news.yahoo.com/how-does-a-police-department-lose-a-humvee-025942542.html

One freezing day last December in the tiny town of Palestine, Ark., a young man climbed into the police department’s Humvee, turned it on, and drove off on a joy ride.
“It never crossed my mind” that anyone would do that, Palestine Police Chief Stanley Barnes said Wednesday of the incident. The Humvee, which the town of fewer than 700 people got for free through a controversial Pentagon program that gives old military equipment to local police departments, doesn’t have keys. But it’s easy to look up how to start one.
The possibility that the 5,000-pound Humvee might be stolen was so far from Barnes’ mind that it took a week before anyone on the small force noticed it was missing from the police station’s parking lot.
that sounds like another untruth, unless that parking lot was underground and no one was allowed to park there how could they not miss this hunk of 5,000 pounds of metal on wheels larger than anything else in view.
Once Barnes noticed it was gone, he sprang into action.
“We just do what police officers do — we find out who done it,” Barnes said. “People talk.”
A hunter reported seeing the vehicle, which was emblazoned with the police department’s logo, in the woods a county over. The thief had driven into a tree and completely wrecked it. Barnes sent a truck over to pick up the Humvee and tow it back to the station.
The police department now uses the massive wreck for parts for its other Humvee, which it also obtained from the Department of Defense Excess Property Program (DOD 1033) to help fight crime in the small town.

Android security mystery – ‘fake’ cellphone towers found in U.S.

http://www.welivesecurity.com/2014/08/28/android-security-2/

[There have been many comments to this story from people who are assuming that these 'towers' are physical installations. There's no reason to assume this is the case: it's far likelier that they are mobile installations of the kind used not only by law enforcement and government agencies, but also by scammers and other criminals. (David Harley)]
Seventeen mysterious cellphone towers have been found in America which look like ordinary towers, and can only be identified by a heavily customized handset built for Android security – but have a much more malicious purpose, according to Popular Science.
The fake ‘towers’ – computers which wirelessly attack cellphones via the “baseband” chips built to allow them to communicate with their networks, can eavesdrop and even install spyware, ESD claims. They are a known technology - but the surprise is that they are in active use.
The towers were found by users of the CryptoPhone 500, one of several ultra-secure handsets that have come to market in the last couple of years, after an executive noticed his handset was “leaking” data regularly.
Its American manufacturer boasts that the handset has a “hardened” version of Android which removes 468 vulnerabilities from the OS.

Android Security: Towers in casinos

Despite its secure OS, Les Goldsmith of the handset’s US manufacturer ESD found that his personal Android security handset’s firewall showed signs of attack “80 to 90” times per hour.
The leaks were traced to the mysterious towers. Despite having some of the functions of normal cellphone towers, Goldsmith says their function is rather different. He describes them as “interceptors” and says that various models can eavesdrop and even push spyware to devices. Normal cellphones cannot detect them – only specialized hardware such as ESD’s Android security handsets.
Origin of towers ‘unknown’
“Interceptor use in the U.S. is much higher than people had anticipated,” Goldsmith says.  “One of our customers took a road trip from Florida to North Carolina and he found eight different interceptors on that trip.  We even found one at South Point Casino in Las Vegas.”
Their existence can only be seen on specialized devices, such as the custom Android security OS used by Cryptophone, which includes various security features – including “baseband attack detection.”
The handset, based on a Samsung Galaxy SIII, is described as offering, a “Hardened Android operating system” offering extra security. “Baseband firewall protects against over-the-air attacks with constant monitoring of baseband processor activity, baseband attack detection, and automated initiation of countermeasures”, claims the site.
“What we find suspicious is that a lot of these interceptors are right on top of U.S. military bases.” says Goldsmith.  “Whose interceptor is it?  Who are they, that’s listening to calls around military bases?  The point is: we don’t really know whose they are.”

each year when they announce "the next big thing is here", looks like they are neglecting to inform us of the other big thing already here. we get all giddy the new shiny thing oooooo, but as we know everything that they come up with to protect us something comes with it to counter it, I think it's all industry driven if that next big thing was all that then we would not need security or all the bells a whistles that make us feel so warm and cuddly and security like Norton et al would be out of business.

we hear of companies hiring those hackers to tell them what they need to guard against but by doing that they discover what can be done to invade your space, all about the Benjamin's.

Handcuffed Black Youth Shot Himself to Death, Says Coroner

A Coroner’s report obtained exclusively by NBC News directly contradicts the police version of how a 22-year-old black man died in the back seat of a Louisiana policecruiser earlier this year -- but still says the man, whose hands were cuffed behind his back, shot himself.
In a press release issued March 3, the day he died, the Louisiana State Police said Victor White III apparently shot himself in an Iberia Parish police car. According to the police statement, White had his hands cuffed behind his back when he shot himself in the back.
But according to the full final report of the Iberia Parish coroner, which was released nearly six months later and obtained exclusively by NBC News, White was shot in the front, not the back. The bullet entered his right chest and exited under his left armpit. White was left-handed, according to family members. According to the report, the forensic pathologist found gunshot residue in the wound, but not the sort of stippling that a close-range shot can sometimes produce. He also found abrasions on White’s face.
And yet, despite the contradictions – and even though White’s hands were never tested for gunpowder residue – the Iberia Parish coroner still supported the central contention of the initial police statement issued back in March. Dr. Carl Ditch ruled that White shot himself, and declared his death a suicide.
we used to when kids laugh at then to us jokes depicting the absurity of police murdering Black men.  like shooting themselves in the back 6 times with a repeating rifle, or the guy they found in the river wrapped in chains an the cop says "just like them trying to steal more than the can carry".
well i'm 65 now not in my teens and uninformed none of this is funny never was but things like this circulated back in the day and now for my first time it's in the news and just if not more absurd as the things we heard as jokes that now i believe to be true, again comedy brings it home and the truth shines through, just not on me and my peers at that time.
In a press release issued Monday, Dr. Ditch said that based on the findings of the pathologist and investigators, it was possible for White “due to his body habitus” to manipulate the gun to shoot himself in the chest.
White’s father doesn’t believe it. He doesn’t believe that a man with a new baby, a girlfriend and a job had the motive for suicide, and he doesn’t think any version of events in which White shot himself, whether in the front or back, is physically possible.
“You can’t make me understand,” said Rev. Victor White II, 53, a Baptist minister and former substance abuse counselor. “You can’t make me understand how my son took his left hand, when he was handcuffed behind the back, and shot himself. I don’t believe a thing they’re saying at this point.”
this is why those in Ferguson don't trust the White establishment to reveal the truth about Mike Browns murder, like this guy in LA. in the face of fact they are still pushing their version which exonerates the homicidal cops that murdered him, it is the same across the nation that those who impose say their is no racial divide or racism.  remember the words from The Usual Suspects,
"The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was to convince the world he didn't exist" , back in the 60's White people were upset that Black activist called some of them "Blue eyed Devils", well looks like it would hold up through the decades and  today as it did then, all are not murderous racist but it seems those in charge are were they elected and hired like in Ferguson or was it a surprise to some???

Comparing How The New York Times Described Mike Brown & Ted Bundy

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/08/29/1325816/-Comparing-How-The-New-York-Times-Described-Mike-Brown-Ted-Bundy?detail=email

we now are at a place where we no longer can feel safe that what we read, see, or hear no longer reflects fair and balanced reporting but one sided racial leaning and not in favor of Blacks.  are we not hearing about Hispanic crime their gangs because the right wing who seems to be dictating what we are exposed to in the name of truth, don't want to further demonize them because it's election time???  we no longer know which way is up because those entrusted as our navigators are apparently given orders by those who own such media.

On the eve of Michael Brown's funeral, a New York Times profile of the slain youth called him "no angel" and characterized Brown as troubled, citing his experimentation with rap as evidence. Vociferous criticism quickly followed, with the Times' public editor, Margaret Sullivan, finally admitting that the language used to describe Brown was regrettable.
Much of the criticism focused on how race played an implicit role in the vilification of Brown – how his blackness provoked descriptions white victims of violent crime rarely see – as is often the case in American media.
In a stunning display, Sean McElwee took that critique one step further by contrasting Brown's description not with those of other white victims of crime, but with a white perpetrator of violent crime, namely mass murderer Ted Bundy.
Below is a paragraph from the Times' profile of Brown published on August 24, 2014. It is preceded by evidence that the teenager who was gunned down by police, unarmed, was grappling with and deepening his spiritual beliefs.

Now, contrast the above characterization of Brown with that of mass murderer Ted Bundy in a profile published just after the State of Florida executed him on January 24, 1989. The paragraphs below were preceded by gruesome details of Bundy's lethal methodologies.

glaring lack of demonizing of a mass murderer and a kid shot dead by a racist cop, how discriminative is that.  before they told us who killed this kid they tried to smear and influence potential jurors with his unworthiness,  guess being a White serial killer ranks higher than a Black 18 yr old harassed and murdered by a racist White cop.

they think they can read us and apply labels but until they can see who we are really they will continue to murder get leave with pay get off by a jury of the murderers peers and back to work.

kill a Black kid get paid vacation and a parade, message from death states.

It was just a matter of time: Militia member inteferes with actual border patrol

Cochise County Militia patrol border areasmilitias armed with huge amounts of weapons are beginning to “patrol ...With starters resting, Bears lose 33-13 to Browns - Chicago ...
  1. We have read news over the past couple of years about the growing issue with militias and their intent to 'patrol the borders' in the quest to find an excuse to shoot people help keep America clean safe.
I had been wondering when something like this would occur.
According to Border Patrol spokesman Omar Zamora, several agents had been pursuing a group on undocumented immigrants the border Friday afternoon when one agent spotted a man carrying a long arm weapon. The agent fired four times, not hitting the man, who dropped his gun and identified himself as a militia member.
The guy was described as free to be where he was but the county sheriff  Lucio wasn't feeling like this was all that helpful.

this is the mentality that is destroying the country tea people that was their thing they can do it better than those charged with the job,  those on the borders as militia are no more that out of work "now I can carry my gun think i'll kill a few Mexicans keep them from coming here and taking the job I wouldn't do any way that's why I have the time to stand here and serve my party screw the country"
real patrol following the law most anyway are just not taking enough of them out fast enough, are the willing to shoot the kids who are not crossing but surrendering?

I really don't think this out of the woods rise of these lawless militias types like those at Bundy's lawless ranch had the republicans not passed carry laws before that have you ever seen so many White guys on the streets in the malls in restaurants strapped?  speaking of which and addressing an earlier post those Bundy hooligans were not arrested even though they pointed guns at feds and hid out in sniper positions prepared to unload on those officers but none were arrested was that another example of White privilege the privilege they say doesn't exist, who's zoomin' who?

I still believe this is a right wing plan to arm White crazies and pass murder laws all heading to a civil confrontation like Charles Manson vision of HELTE4R SKELTER.

The very rich are angry at the extremely rich

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/08/31/1326074/-The-very-rich-are-angry-at-the-extremely-rich?detail=email

are the worms turning on their selves or is this really a green eyed jealousy piece between those who have so much but not quite as much as the others?

In a shocking display of just how putrid and vile this nation's elite class has become, the mere ostentatiously rich are fighting a yeoman's struggle against the opulently, obscenely rich:
On an evening during the last stretch of summer, 385 people arrived at the studios of LTV, a cable-access programmer in Wainscott, on the East End of Long Island, for a town-hall meeting to discuss mounting aural assaults from commuter helicopters going to and from Manhattan. The issue had been igniting tempers all season — especially in the communities of Shelter Island, the Springs and parts of the North Fork, areas where a lot of the noise has been absorbed and where local self-perception runs less toward the glossy and indulgent than it does elsewhere on the East End.
Helicopter traffic at the airport this summer has increased by close to 40 percent over last and with it has come a comparable rise in tension between the very affluent and the exceptionally rich.
“Quality of life truly is being diminished for commercial greed and the convenience of the same people who burned the economy,” a longtime Shelter Island summer resident said to me.
“When I look up at small planes and choppers I see a fleet of middle fingers across the sky.”WE! ARE! THE NINE PERCENT!

The guy with the Long Island summer residence says that income inequality is hurting his quality of life. Because of the helicopter noise of the guy he probably reports to. I'm quite sure he is indifferent to his own noise produced by his late model BMW whizzing its fumes in the face his maid waiting at the bus stop. Because you know...that's just freedom. But these folks must take action when their idyllic summers with Biffy and the kids (with nanny arriving by jitney to her quarters in the back) is disturbed by the foul helicopter noise of people who...gasp...deliver the kids and nanny by limo service.
Our elites have kind of lost the plot. And I don't just mean billionaires, but the people who encircle them. The various lawyers, political strategists, art dealers and university administrators that enable people like the Koch Brothers to do what they do to America. Were really not talking about the top 10%, who are just as much a part of the problem of decline in this country as the top .01 percent are. There are a lot of people who are and have remained largely unaffected by the growing poverty in America. Not just a small crew of billionaires and CEOs, but quite a few executive vice Presidents, managing partners, provosts, and plastic surgeons. The entire establishment is at the core of America's leadership problem.
hard to feel sorry when those who complain are a big part of the rest of us not enjoying our lives as much as they.  they should lose that privilege for a decade then we might be in the mood to not put them down but not embrace them as victims of the powers that be when they were the powers that used to be and still have a chance to recoup where we may not have the opportunity to grasp the gold ring once in our lives, them being part of that structure of the party of "oh hell no you can't".

we too are disturbed by helicopters and sirens, but they look at us as we deserve it live somewhere else well their somewhere else is plagued by the noise too.  what price privilege?

'Leftist Commie Scum' Russell Brand Hilariously Destroys FOX News In Ongoing Feud (VIDEO)

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/08/29/1325757/-Russel-Brand-Hilariously-Destroys-Fox-News-Coverage-In-Ongoing-Feud-VIDEO?detail=email

And, the delicious feud between Fox News and Russell Brand continues…
Basically, the comedian/actor/activist, Russell Brand, has been very vocal about his problem with the Fox News coverage of the Ferguson protests, the Middle East conflict, the Climate Crisis and the the definition of 'Conservative. He also accuses Fox for using Jason Riley, a black host, to stir up contempt against the Ferguson protest. (It's not Fox's first time. Megyn Kelly, tried to bait a black pastor to slam Al Sharpton, and the Ferguson protestors. 'Her Royal Whiteness' got punked)
Greg Gutfield called Brand a 'Leftist Commie,' a 'racist' and describes Brand as having developed "fake intelligence" like a "freshman at college".
Geez, did Gutfield have to go and bring up college, when many of the Conservative talking heads allegedly never attended college or are dropouts? What was he thinking?

Fox, thinking isn't that an oxymoron?  they really need to check their archives before bringing in certain guess or attacking people who seem to be I don't know smarter then them.  they don't have a reputation for winning those bouts of intellect oh except O'Reilly he claims to get the best of everyone could that be why they call him Bilo the clown?

One of my favorite quotes in the video is when Brand criticizes Fox New's definition of Conservatives.
"The say Conservatives… What they are 'conserving'…Actually, it's hatred they're trying to conserve, misery, they're trying to conserve, existing power structures, they're trying to conserve."
I agree cause they sure aren't trying to conserve money with ISSA'S grand inquisitions and the millions of tax payer money spent a no conviction only exoneration and here's the kicker by their own people, what conservative means to them is the conservation of their own money not ours they need another greasing they are still not slick enough.

White man jaywalks with gun...guess what happens?

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/08/31/1324831/-White-man-jaywalks-with-gun-guess-what-happens?detail=email#

I saw a white man with a gun.
I heard a policeman saying, "Place the weapon down on the ground, please. ... are crossing the street illegally ... I need you to put the gun down before I talk to you. ... You have committed a crime ... you are jaywalking. ... I don't want to shoot you, I'm not here to do that. ... Why are you so angry. ... Why are you cursing at me?"
Watching the whole incident all I could think of were those dead (unarmed) black men and boys who never had the opportunity to be "talked down," called "sir," and were murdered by police.
Or they were leaning on a toy gun in Walmart. Like John Crawford III.
today to see a White man with a gun or several White men with guns and bandoliers is common place in red states, when you read the paper or watch the news and they are in Toys R Us while you shop for your kids birthday or in McDonalds parking lot as you pull up with your kids for a happy meal does the happy fade and fear take it's place?  those who feel the need to exhibit their arsenal did you see them in these places before unarmed?
I wanted to find out what happened to this white man who defied police, made obscene gestures at them and who cursed them out.
The man, Joseph Houseman, is a gun rights advocate. He got his 15 minutes (more like 40 or 50) of fame and walked.
In the Department of Public Safety's decision not to pursue charges, Webster said later that even though Houseman did not have the rifle in a sling and was  "fidgeting" with it, it was not evident that he was "brandishing" it.
they tell us there is no White privilege the police are suppose to protect and serve, the courts say over their doors justice for all should someone take a chisel to those engravings, or are we to continue to take it because it's written in stone?  to quote Rev. Al, "lot's of things were acceptable, until we stopped accepting them",  are we who we've been waiting for and if so why are we to afraid to stand and deliver eviction notices to those who oppose?

This news got covered as a "gun rights" story.
From my perspective it's a "white rights" story.
Does anyone honestly believe a black man, or teen, or boy would have walked away from this alive?

no he wouldn't even if the sun was shining and the entire city watched as 20 officers would unload their multi load clips are they that afraid they might live or just afraid why else would you feel like you had to extinguish each and everyone you deem as violating their law with no regard to the fact they are violating real law and right to life, police, republicans most are cut from the same cloth.

and they do these things under the eyes of God, while claiming their devotion and belief and Christianism, roll on hell ain't half full, yet.
