Responsible Gun Owner Shoots 2-year-old Daughter

Responsible Gun Owner Shoots 2-year-old Daughter
This guy couldn't go a single day without a gun in his hand. It's really a sickness:
Delaware State Police investigated a shooting that occurred in a family residence and left a 2-year-old injured.
Police said troopers were dispatched to a house on Muddy Neck Road in Ocean View at about 1 a.m. Sunday for a report that a child had been shot.
Police said investigators determined that 38-year-old Joseph Jenkins had shot his daughter in the leg while showing his wife a gun he'd just received.
An investigation revealed that a burglary report had been taken from Jenkins Saturday night stating that his gun had been stolen. Police said Jenkins then went to a friend's home and retrieved a handgun.
do you think he learned the lesson that guns don't make you safer but the can make you a potential killer of you children. this guy was supposedly showing the gun implies he doesn't know real responsible gun ownership first you make sure it's unloaded or safety is on unloaded preferred than your kid won't have nightmares of their dad shooting them.

Bobby Jindal Continues His Double-Talk On Birthright Citizenship

GOP presidential hopeful and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal suggested on Sunday that to stem illegal immigration, the solution is not to pursue stronger border security but rather to force immigrants to “adopt our values.”
Jindal, the son of Indian immigrants, claimed that his parents “raised their children to be Americans,” and said that the real issue with immigrants, particularly undocumented immigrants, is that they “should want to be Americans.”
“Yes, we need to secure our border. Stop talking about it. I think we need to insist that folks who come here come here legally, learn English, adopt our values, roll up our sleeves and get to work,” he said on ABC’s “This Week.”
Host Martha Raddatz quickly stopped him.
“I’m sorry, but what do you mean by ‘adopt our values’? What values don’t immigrants have that you believe Americans have?” she asked Jindal.
Jindal responded by alleging that immigrants in Europe do not try to integrate into their country’s cultures, although part of the problem is that many European countries do not have birthright citizenship, which limits the rights of immigrants and their descendants.
“What I worry about is you look to Europe, the contrast is -- you’ve got second-, third-generation immigrants that don’t consider themselves part of those societies, those cultures. We in our country shouldn’t be giving freedoms to people who want to undermine the freedom for other people,” he said.
why do republicans always want to point to another country or time for lessons to be learned thought w were the greatest why do they need other ideas, because they have none of their own looking back on something that we now should adopt is proof of that.

he is saying that immigrants can't be allowed to have their own anything that they should be made to adopt their view of American isn't that violating the right to be you granted by GOD not GOP that is undermining freedoms of those people everything he's saying is making them less than 3/5ths of a person.

why would immigrants want to come here with all the regulations and denials and requirements to be somebody else they come here seeking a better life not to be a republican or under their thumb.

Monmouth Poll: Carson Tied With Trump In Iowa

http://crooksandliars.com/2015/08/monmouth-poll-carson-tied-trump-iowa

This isn't really a surprise, since Ben Carson makes Republicans feel good about themselves, validating their sense of themselves as fair, not racist -- "See, we like him and he's black!":
West Long Branch, NJ – The Monmouth University Poll of likely Iowa Republican caucusgoers finds Ben Carson and Donald Trump tied for the top spot. This marks the first time since July 26 that a poll in any of the first four nominating states has not shown Trump with a nominal lead.
Not surprisingly, given the top two contenders in the poll, most Iowa Republicans prefer someone without a traditional political pedigree. At this early stage, though, the vast majority of voters say their eventual support could go to one of several other candidates in spite of their current preference.
When Iowa Republicans are asked who they would support in their local caucus, Ben Carson
(23%) and Donald Trump (23%) tie for the top spot. The next tier of candidates includes Carly Fiorina (10%) and Ted Cruz (9%), followed by Scott Walker (7%), Jeb Bush (5%), John Kasich (4%), Marco Rubio (4%), and Rand Paul (3%). The last two Iowa caucus victors, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum, each garner 2% of the vote. None of the other six candidates included in the poll register more than 1% support.
“These results mark a significant shake-up in the leaderboard from Monmouth’s Iowa poll taken before the first debate,” said Patrick Murray, director of the independent Monmouth University Polling Institute in West Long Branch, NJ. “Carson and, to a lesser extent, Fiorina have surged, while Walker has faded into the background.”
it goes to the voters what caliber of person they want leading them so far it's loud mouth boisterous chauvinistic narcissistic misogynist ball of confusing statements to quiet reserve saying some of the worse radically bigoted things imaginable he gives the act away by not going all bat crap crazy, true republican would be very noisy but bottom line their choice appears to be the two top runners and all the above.

i'm wondering what the loudmouth has to say "they love the Black guy as much as me" or call for a recount, he said only good things about the resident house "N",  is he looking for or to be a running mate?????????????

neither come off as presidential but they are tied what does that say the most about the candidates or the potential voter who if still for either don't care about the country or themselves a nothing to lose right wing voter is dangerous when they pick by rhetoric and not detriment or sense

Trevin Wax asks Hillary to apologize for insulting pro-lifers (and commenters hilariously disagree)

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/08/31/1417075/-Trevin-Wax-asks-Hillary-to-apologize-for-insulting-pro-lifers

An editorial in today's Religion News Service gives  4 reasons Hillary Clinton should apologize for her inflammatory abortion rhetoric
Here are his reasons:
1. She shouldn’t label an opposing position as “extreme” just because she doesn’t agree with it.
Silly Hillary! How could comparing abortion with the Holocaust be considered extreme? How could murdering George Tiller be considered extreme? How could continuing to say that having a baby is a punishment for having sex be considered extreme? How could cutting all women's health funding be considered extreme? What about forced transvaginal ultrasounds? Extreme?
2. How can she call the Republican position extreme when she belongs to a party that opposes virtually any regulation of abortion at any stage of pregnancy?
I am sure that is in the platform somewhere, right? The day before birth, having second thoughts? Well alrighty then!
3. Comparing pro-life advocates to terrorist groups like ISIS is not only offensive, it’s silly.
George Tiller....and then there is this
4. Enough with the ridiculous “war on women” rhetoric.
Yes. Women only should complain during "that time of the month"
What is really FUN about this article is the comments. Here are some peaches that make me stand up and want to say "God Bless America" even though I am an atheist.
Jon August 31, 2015 at 10:16 am
Yes, it is extreme to try to ban abortion with the only exceptions of rape, incest, and the life of the mother. Your own cited data (24 and 36%) shows that.
Yes, groups like ISIL and the Taliban do oppose a woman’s choice to have an abortion.
Yes, some Republican candidates do voice the extreme position of taking away a woman’s choice as mentioned above. You can check for yourself. http://ballotpedia.org/...
Mrs. Clinton has simply stated the truth. I’m sorry you are uncomfortable with it. There are plenty of countries where abortions are banned, such as Iran. I don’t think we should try to be like them.
Charles Brown August 31, 2015 at 10:29 am
Puh-leese
Mind your own business.
You don’t want an abortion? Don’t have one.
When you demonstrate the same outrage over starving children, children being bombed and poisoned by our government, and children being raised in abject poverty, and ghettos… then you tell us all about how much you care about about “babies”.
And if Yourgod really cared about “babies”… you wouldn’t have anything to worry about.
USMAMULE August 31, 2015 at 10:34 am
She doesn’t owe anyone an apology for telling the truth. GOP candidates are talking openly about using the military to stop abortion, defunding ALL healthcare provided by one of the essential providers to poor women, even though 97% of their services are not abortion related.
Other candidates at the national and local level regularly advance bills outlawing abortion without regard to the health of the mother, or exceptions for cases of rape or incest. On top of the above, “Pro-Lifers” regularly engage in terrorist actions (bombings and murder of doctors). They are nothing if not extremists.
just a few to point out the hypocrisy of right wing religion and the politicians i too have said they feign all this empathy for a fetus but noting for the end result or the mom, they need to apologize to women and their families for what they've done and intend to do  here again they do it and try to sweep it on our shoes well one word short and sweet "REJECTED"!!!!!!!

Police in San Antonio fatally shot man with hands up, unaware they were being filmed

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/08/31/1417035/-Police-in-San-Antonio-shot-killed-man-who-had-his-hands-up-didn-t-know-they-were-being-filmed

Police in San Antonio shoot and kill man who had his hands up

This is the exact second before the man pictured is shot.
This past Friday, after a domestic dispute, police were called to a San Antonio home. When they arrived there, the police claim they confronted the man who was involved in the dispute, but that he resisted arrest.
We have no idea if this really happened, but what we do see is that same man, in his own front yard, peacefully surrendering to police with his hands up in the air. This much is a fact. From all indications, he appears to be unarmed, motionless, and nonviolent when, suddenly, he is shot and killed by county police.
That normally would've been case closed. The police would've told us that this man rushed them, or went for their gun, or something else, but a young black college student who heard the disturbance decided he had to film it.
"I was watching and wondering, what was going on, but I couldn't figure it out. I was like, with the things going on in the world, like different type of shootings with cops and different things like that, so I was like, 'Well, maybe I can catch something with my camera,'" Thomas said.
The video shows the deputies follow the man to the edge of the driveway.
"He kind of just put his hands in the air. After he put his hands in the air, they shot him," Thomas said.
In other words, this man was executed. The video below, which stops the second before the actual shooting, is worth watching to give you the visual context for what happened.
In another report, released before police knew the video existed, they claimed the man had a knife. If he did, it's hard to see it in this video and their early account doesn't really match what we see below.
These officers need to be fired and prosecuted immediately.
if there was ever cause for more cameras this is it the cops lying like a cheap rug not aware that they were on candid camera proceed to do the deed if you look at pic above there are dwellings they were unconcerned about eye witnesses could it be because the structure had their backs and they were looking for that proverbial paid vacation and the brass having their backs??????????????????

it is hard to dispute independent video evidence it trumps eye witness accounts and their is no way out, now with clear evidence once more of murder will we see the elusive conviction and incarceration????  i notice the article printed the witness first name why say a prayer for him his testimony will survive it's now archived and not just by police who might lose it by trial time.  keep an eye out for that alien stranger JUSTICE.

Scott Walker's fall from grace

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/08/31/1417079/-Scott-Walker-s-fall-from-grace

Governor Scott Walker (R-WI) speaks at the 42nd annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) at National Harbor, MD, February 26, 2015. Potential Republican presidential candidate Walker told grassroots conservatives on Thursday that his battle

Walker’s backers see a campaign discombobulated by Trump’s booming popularity and by his provocative language on immigration, China and other issues. They see in Walker a candidate who — in contrast to the discipline he showed in state races — continues to commit unforced errors, either out of lack of preparation or in an attempt to grab for part of the flamboyant businessman’s following.
These supporters say what is needed now is a return to basics, a more disciplined focus on the issues Walker long has championed in Wisconsin. [...]
Several supporters say Walker appears to have had too many meetings with too many experts, turning him into a more timid version of himself. They miss the Midwestern candidate who focused on economic issues like weakening public unions, making painful cuts to the budget and reducing taxes by more than $2 billion.
You mean the nostalgia-inducing Scott Walker who sucked the bone marrow out of Wisconsin's economy? If only he were still that guy and that guy alone, surely he would still be the GOP front-runner. But instead Walker's trying to out-Trump Trump.
In discussing immigration on Sunday, Walker said constructing a wall on the U.S. border with Canada — the longest in the world at 5,525 miles — is “a legitimate issue for us to look at.”
That is just sad. And potentially more sad than Jeb!'s latest attempts to take down The Donald. Naturally, all of Walker's faithful feel certain that if he just gets back to the basics, he can turn this thing around. But he would have to be able to actually handle questions on the fly without having to call for a "clean up on aisle seven" several days later. So far, he's proven completely unable to do that.
as i was reading this i almost let the curtain down it was sounding like a mourning of Walkers downward spiral but as i went on it is spot on except the one thing i disagree with it's not sad it's party over here another one bites the dust.  wonder how much the Koch's blew on him???

GOP Rape Advisory Chart

https://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/10/24/1149395/-GOP-Rape-Advisory-Chart-h-t-to-connecticutie?detail=emailclassic

now you see where i came to the conclusion that republicans support rape wonder who or how many of the supporters could be perpetrators, i mean why would you support something as egregious as rape and go as far as making jokes if it were not something you felt is okay?????????  keep in mind this all came out during their push against women's rights to contraception but there is no war against them.

Refusing to Bow to the Gun Lobby, Hillary Clinton Talks Gun Sense

http://www.politicususa.com/2015/08/29/refusing-gun-lobby-hillary-clinton-continues-talks-gun-sense.html

hillary-clinton-chill-cropped

Defying decades of beltway wisdom that taking on the NRA is akin to political suicide, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton continues to champion common sense gun reform on the 2016 campaign trail. In the past week, she has issued a call to action in speaking appearances in Minnesota, Iowa and Ohio. On Thursday, in Cleveland, she made reference to the live murder of two journalists during a Virginia newscast, by stating:
We saw the terrible consequences of gun violence in America. I don’t know how we keep seeing shooting after shooting, read about the people murdered because they went to Bible study or they went to the movies or they were just doing their jobs … and not say we can do something about this. It’s not just the deaths that are in the headlines. Most of you in this audience know that we lose people to gun violence every day.
The Daily Beast ran an article Saturday titled “Hillary Clinton Really Is Coming For Your Guns”
While The Daily Beast piece is hyperbolic, Clinton does not appear to be concerned about a backlash from pro-gun voters. While many Democrats have cowered in fear in the face of the gun lobby and their apologists, Hillary Clinton seems to be betting on the American voter rather than hitching her hopes on placating the trigger happy voices of the NRA.
Public opinion polls consistently show that Americans overwhelmingly support common sense gun reform measures, including over 90 percent who favor universal background checks. Furthermore, for all the talk of the gun lobby’s political clout, two of the most successful Democratic campaigns of the 2014 election cycle were won by Governors who took on the NRA. Daniel Malloy of Connecticut and John Hickenlooper both won as candidates who advocated common sense gun laws. In a high turnout presidential election there is no reason to think that Hillary Clinton can’t be similarly rewarded by voters for her willingness to talk sense about guns.
you have not heard anything about gun control from the republicans making it clear their devotion to the NRA trumps any concern for those no longer hear because of a gun obtained legally or irresponsibly they found a new scapegoat in the mentally challenged instead of the arrogantly persistent wanting to arm students an teachers give permission to carry in church and bars open carry so they can play cowboys and Indians for real that game is rigged so the cowboys win.

go Hilary buck the status quo because it sure as hell bucks we the people. they ignore us tell us what we really want like we don't know and carry out the right wing orders and keep their crazies armed and stirred up.

Trump Demanded Obama’s Birth Certificate But Refuses To Release His Own Records

http://www.politicususa.com/2015/08/29/so-more-donald-trump.html

trump-thumbs-up

Funny ain’t it? The guy who was screaming bloody murder over our current president’s birth certificate apparently doesn’t want anybody seeing any kind of paper trail that would support his contention that he graduated number one in his class at the Wharton School of Finance. This assertion was later exposed as a media myth with no basis in truth.
The New York Post last month carried it a few steps further than that. They couldn’t find a classmate with a memory of even running into Trump on campus. After two years attendance, Trumps name did appear in the yearbook as a student. There was no picture. If he accomplished anything notable, the yearbook editor missed it. The Washington Post pointed out that Trump was not, WAS NOT, enrolled in Wharton’s famed MBA program that has been at the core of its highly regarded academic reputation.
A skeptical Salon magazine article of a few years back implied a marginally deserved matriculation into Wharton thanks to a “sympathetic” admissions officer, an old classmate of Trump’s older brother.
Not only are his fellow students mum on the subject of Trump, but a CNBC.com report indicates the school isn’t exactly talkative on the matter either. There’s nary a single statement for attribution from current leadership of that fine institution. CNBC did discover that Trump has apparently not gifted his alma mater with penny one. The most positive thing that can be said about his connection to the school was his inclusion in a 2007 list of “most influential graduates.” The recognition was mainly predicated on his work in Real Estate.
Not the smartest, not number 1, just influential and nobody will deny him that. That’s a big step from being booted out of Kew-Forest School for behavioral problems as a young kid.
Of course memories fade after nearly a half-century. “The Donald” will be 70 his next birthday. If elected, he’ll be in his late seventies when he leaves the White House.
As for his great concern for workers losing jobs to those terrible corporations that have abandoned this great land, willy nilly and set up shop overseas, here’s but one striking example of that anti-American business strategy. It’s called Trump International Real Estate.
Here’s how the Trump International Website describes his global business: “The Trump Organization is the world’s only global luxury real estate super-brand, and is responsible for many of the world’s most recognized developments.
Trump is renowned for its leadership in real estate development, sales and marketing, and property management representing the highest level of excellence and luxury in residential, office, and retail properties.” Many of his obscenely rich luxury clientele come from the very companies that abandoned the U.S.
His portfolio includes fancy hotels and golf courses in such faraway vistas as Dubai. “Hey, ain’t there some of them Muslims over there?” Yep, about 60%. Then there are Trump Hotels and Golf Courses, that at least bear his name that suckers purchase for the privilege of being associated with a goon.
Let’s not forget the tax havens Panama and Ireland that make the list (trade-outs?) as does Canada, including an upcoming hotel project in “Van.” Canada is perfectly acceptable for assorted Trump money-making ventures. In listening to his speeches, Mexico is apparently not, the latter just missing acceptance by the skin of its skin.
Istanbul makes the cut with a 99% Muslim population. There are a bunch of other countries included in the portfolio. So, let’s make America great again by building our projects overseas.
Back home real world side note. Trump was noted for hiring general and sub-contractors who utilized great numbers of illegal immigrants in the workforces that built his hotels and other projects.
goose gander syndrome that's what's good for the other guy has no place in your sphere of misleading will the right wing base demand his credentials probably not IMO for the solitary reason he's White and it takes "THEIR COUNTRY BACK" to pre Black guy in WH days.

White privilege has taken on another meaning it allows equal lying about others and yourself or has that always been a staple?????????????

Jeb Bush: "I'm Not Sure We Need Half a Billion Dollars" for Women’s Health

http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2015/08/jeb-bush-defund-planned-parenthood

Image result for nicks perusals pictures

When he was governor of Florida, Jeb Bush vetoed state funding for Planned Parenthood. He thinks the next president should do the same—at the federal level.
That's what Bush said Tuesday at the Send North America conference, one of America's largest evangelical gatherings. He wasn't done talking about women's health care, though:
You could take dollar for dollar—although I'm not sure we need half a billion dollars—for women's health issues, but if you took dollar for dollar, there are many extraordinarily fine community health organizations that exist to provide quality care for women on a wide variety of health issues. But abortion should not be funded by the government.
Reminder: This is what happens when Planned Parenthood is defunded.
UPDATE, Tuesday, August 4, 3:30 p.m. PT (Becca Andrews): Bush later issued a statement that he "misspoke." It reads: "There are countless community health centers, rural clinics, and other women’s health organizations that need to be fully funded. They provide critical services to all, but particularly low-income women who don’t have the access they need." He goes on to say that the "half a billion dollars" line only referred to Planned Parenthood.
how many times has he flubbed a response only to go back and  try to explain it away that is when republicans really put their foot in it and reveal the real them. mama told him not to run do you think he finally realizes why??????

as far as all those clinics he sights that they are trying so hard to close leaving the only alternatives miles away and no transportation or money to get there that my friends by default make that false and it is because of their discrimination of in Planned Parenthood's case 3%.

Donald Trump's TV Commercials: The Greatest Hits

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2015/08/donald-trump-best-tv-commerials

As Donald Trump proudly observes whenever humanly possible, he's rich. Richer than you, dear reader, and certainly richer than me.
A lot of that money has come from large-scale real estate ventures, but a decent chunk of change has come from his willingness to shill for seemingly any product that can get him in front of a camera. Over his decades in the public spotlight, Trump has regularly appeared on TV to hawk technology fads, pizza, or a comfortable night's sleep.
Mother Jones has previously chronicled Trump's track record as a salesman of steaks and board games. Here is an incomplete compilation of his greatest commercial hits, culled from YouTube, demonstrating the full range of his shamelessness (or versatility, depending on your perspective) as a pitchman.
when you think about it this is exactly what he's doing except this time he's shilling for himself.  the pay off the big chair.

Urban Dictionary: shill

... buzz by personally endorsing the product in public forums with the pretense of sincerity, when in fact he is being paid for his services. Who are you shilling for?

Sarah Palin Fails To Get Donald Trump To Take Her Outrage Bait (VIDEO)

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/donald-trump-sarah-palin-fluff-interview

O6lsfbmt7zbbsoimhwhh

The former Alaska governor offered up far more compliments than substantive questions in her interview with Trump, which aired on One America News Network's "On Point." After a brief chat about the country's "screwed-up tax code" and a bit of White House-bashing, Palin made a point to say that "idiots in the press" twist Trump's words and repeatedly tried to get him to call out the media for what she called their "gotcha" games.
Palin brought up the example of Trump's news conference showdown with Univision anchor Jorge Ramos, whom security escorted out of a presser this week before allowing him to return and ask about the billionaire's hardline immigration platform.
“You schooled that radical activist and it was the right thing to do,
because I don’t think he’s going to pull that again,” she said. “Where do you get your guts for that kind of necessary confrontation?”
"Well you know, the press was really good to me on that one," Trump responded, not quite taking the bait. "Because he was totally out of line. He was screaming and ranting and raving."
Palin also vilified the press for asking the former reality TV host what his favorite Bible verse is, adding that reporters wouldn't pose that kind of "personal gotcha" question to Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton.
after reading this i came to the conclusion that she was using him to take shots at media for her failed interviews, remember the Couric question about what she reads that rung a bell with him being asked about his favorite scripture by not naming if implies he doesn't read the Bible there is a similarity there. and early post today points out he was not an active member of the church home he claimed.

the praise was probably just a ploy to loosen him up but as with everything else she failed at that too i also think her, Rubio and Cruz are paling around with Trump for a VP consideration skip the guys but can you imagine the cheer leading by the right wing base with a Trump Palin ticket and the total rejection by the rest of us after we finish ROFNOAO.

Church Trump Claims To Attend Says He's 'Not An Active Member'

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/donald-trump-church-member

Ci4s42kie2qxchfnkypo

Donald Trump -- who says the Bible is his favorite book but is unwilling to cite his favorite verses -- is now facing scrutiny for his church-going record.
Marble Collegiate Church, a church in Manhattan which Trump has claimed he attends, told CNN that Trump is "not an active member."
Earlier this week, when Trump was asked by reporters about his religious practices, he said, "I've just had great experiences at church, whether it is Sunday School or whatever it may be, but now I go to Marble Collegiate Church."
He also said he was "Presbyterian Protestant." The denomination of Marble Collegiate Church is a Reformed Church in America, according to CNN.
"Donald Trump has had a longstanding history with Marble Collegiate Church, where his parents were for years active members and one of his children was baptized. However, as he indicates, he is a Presbyterian, and is not an active member of Marble," the church's statement to CNN said.
what is it with these guys they seem to assume others will support their lies even if they don't know them or are not even friends but like O'Reilly they throw it out there and get slapped with a big rebuking making them look worst than they did before they weaved that tangled wed of deceit, and still they get supported.

so how do the evangelicals and religious right take this still early but i think they'll choose hate and bigotry or religion and continue supporting the liars. it will be telling of their religious convictions if they don't disavow him and his rhetoric and points out the un Godly tenets of their religion and who and what they worship. recognize

Chris Christie: Let's Track Immigrants Like FedEx Tracks Packages

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/chris-christie-immigrant-tracking-fedex

F9khoqwlcycsj7tqzycv

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) on Saturday offered up a creative solution to the problem of illegal immigration: track immigrants the same way FedEx tracks packages.
"I'm going to have Fred Smith, the founder of FedEx, come work for the government for three months," the Republican presidential candidate said at a town hall event in New Hampshire. "Just come for three months to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and show these people."
Christie said that 40 percent of undocumented immigrants in the country did not cross the U.S. border with Mexico, but instead came into the country legally on visas.
"We let people come into this country with visas and the minute they come in, we lose track of them," he said.
He suggested the FedEx model would prevent immigrants from overstaying their visas.
"We need to have a system that tracks you from the moment you come in
and then when your time is up—whether it's 3 months or 6 months or 9 months, 12 months, however long your visa is—then we go get you and tap you on the shoulder and say, 'Excuse me, it's time to go,'" Christie said.
he's making a bid for another 15 mins. by going extreme right it's a shame that these candidates on the right have to be as nasty and racially bigoted as possible to get the attention of their base especially when their base does not generate enough votes to win in a general election

so it's into the morphing booth again and voila a whole new candidate that didn't really mean those things with an over the shoulder wink wink to the base. i can't justify electing someone as deceptive as that and they talk about Hilary being untruthful????

so what's his plan those coming in get injected with a tracking device just under the skin but will explode your head if you try to remove it, or take the country back and tattoo numbers in radioactive ink on their arms???  he needs to lighten up on the syfy channel

When exactly was this by-gone "Great America" that GOPers yearn for?

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/08/29/1416451/-When-Exactly-was-this-by-gone-Great-America-that-GOPers-yearn-for
Image result for nicks perusals pictures
It's not just a slogan from Donald Trump, the idea of "Making America Great Again" and "Taking America Back [To something or away from someone]" is something we've been hearing for the entire six years of Barack Hussein Obama's Presidency.
It's the primary theme of the Tea Party and the larger GOP.
They argue that at some point, or possibly several, America was so much better and greater than it is today.
I mean we've only had the unemployment rate drop from 10% in 2009 when Barack Obama took the oath of Office to just 5.3% today.  We've seen the Federal Deficit decrease from a height of $1.4 Trillion in 2009, to now just 1/5th of that at $474 Million projected for 2016.  Because of Obamacare the health care uninsured rate has droped 6 points to just 11.4%.
The life of the Medicare Trust Fund has been extended, again thanks to Obamacare, by an additional 13 years until 2030.  Social Security is fully funded until 2033.  America is very nearly Energy Independent of foreign fossil fuels while Renewable Fuels are surging forward projected to take up 2/3rds of the spending on new power plants over the next 25 years.
LGBT individuals can now serve their country without reservations or limits, and can marry the consenting person of their choice. The American Car industry is surging forward after nearly pulling their own death shroud over themselves in 2009. Osama Bin Laden is Dead. Mohamar Quaddafi who masterminded the bombing of Pan Am 103, is Dead.
Tens of thousands of American soldiers are no longer fighting a War in Iraq or in Afghanistan. Relations with Cuba have been re-established. We stand on the verge of a historic nuclear deal with Iran.  America is still considered well internationally with a global favorability rating of 69% according to Pew Research which is a 4% improvement from last year. 62% of people around the World Support our efforts against ISIL. 69% of 40 countries surveyed support President Obama.
Not to say everything is totally rosey, it's not, we still have significant problems and challenges ahead of us. Problems with Income Inequality and Upward Mobility, with the quality of our Educational System, with the Militarization of Police and their unwarranted use of force particularly against the mentally ill, poor and persons of color, with the manipulations of our currency and investments by the stock market, China and hedge fund managers without consequence, with Gun Violence, with the VA backlog. Clearly will still have room for massive improvement. Many goals remain unmet.
During all of America's History for each of it's moves forward there have always been continuing nagging failures at the same time.
Still, Conservatives seem to believe there was a time when America really was the "Shining City on the Hill" without blemish and without tarnish.  Over the flip I will ask, when exactly the hell was that?
as the article points out there was no rhetoric about taking the country back until we elected the first Black Pres., that somehow translated to or was part of their concentrating on that Blacks are taking over and they have no right in their WH. taking the country back is a misnomer what the words between the lines are put it back under a White president.  all the agreeing on the right wing base they don't realize they never had it so good White privilege is not a right it's assigned.

making these statements of greatest country in the world, number one, richest, American exceptionalism none of that is true they are buzz words used by the republicans  to create a sense of value lost because a Black Pres. is in the WH and stirs up anger because the base likes the idea of thinking they were all that and a bag of chips pre Obama.  please read the list of things that question the greatness we can't really see but the republicans assure us it was there pre Obama.

West Point professor calls for use of military against critics of war on terror

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/08/29/1416605/-West-Point-professor-calls-for-use-of-military-against-critics-of-war-on-terror

No, this is sadly not a typo.
In a recent article published in The National Security Law Journal, a recently hired West Point law professor named William Bradford has argued that it is lawful for the military to pursue critics of the war on terror. According to an article in The Guardian:
“Shocking and extreme as this option might seem, [dissenting] scholars, and the law schools that employ them, are – at least in theory – targetable so long as attacks are proportional, distinguish noncombatants from combatants, employ nonprohibited weapons, and contribute to the defeat of Islamism,” Bradford wrote.
The idea that the military could be used to bomb or attack an institution of higher learning just because it dares to criticize military action is chilling in and of itself. What's worse is that this person is ostensibly going to be training future generations of military leadership, and poisoning their minds with blatant nonsense that will further erode and ruin the reputation and standing of the United States around the world.
Worse still is the fact that he's even a professor at West Point at all. He previously resigned from Indiana University in 2005 after it was discovered that he had exaggerated his military service resumé. And he claimed to have written the article cited by the Guardian as a professor at the National Defense University—a position he never held.
Why is such a serial liar and academic fraud being given another chance at one of the most important training institutions in the country? Who, exactly, thought this was a good hire? Who looked at his credentials and said: "this is the guy we want to have on our faculty?"
This is a horrific situation. The only way for the USMA to save face here is to dismiss Bradford—on charges of academic dishonesty (again, for falsely representing credentials and positions not actually held).
not surprising West Point is right wing leaning to an almost prone position.  they train people to direct wars and follow their idea of how it should be done you know the same failing way they did the last couple and who's favorite pastime is that you guessed it republicans and right wing.  who if this is to be believed are now by this guy anyway considering wasting money and manpower to attack dissenting American citizens if they think differently???

they are training people to take aggression against those who exercise their 1st amendment rights to free speech the same 1st amendment they claim when saying obnoxious despicable things. they are breeding a new order of military who thinks right wing war is good and we will kill you if you don't agree, these things are what our future could be depending on your vote and whether you do it.

right wing voters your butts are subject to what anybody else's is so before the high fiving and cheering for Trump or whoever remember Trump is first a businessman he will be faced with making personal deals while supposedly making them for we the people which has not been a republican thing to do for decades.  i know having the implied power to "take the country back" first ask yourself to where if you are just a regular person now then back won't make it any better for you, so your vote becomes your own shooting in your own foot. recognize

You want to compare the U.S. budget to a family budget? Let's be real about it.

https://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/01/06/1176226/-You-want-to-compare-the-U-S-budget-to-a-family-budget-Let-s-be-real-about-it?detail=emailclassic

Medical insurance claim form with money

In my Facebook feed the other morning, I saw someone sharing one of these notions that seems like basic common sense, until you start thinking about it and realize that common sense is often more common than sense. The claim was that you can put the fiscal cliff—the federal budget, really—in better perspective by taking eight zeroes off the end of a series of numbers and thinking of it as a family budget.
Now, families and governments actually aren't a good comparison, as economists (and common sense, if that's your speed) would tell you. But since a lot of people find this basic idea a powerful comparison, let's think about what if the United States was a big extended family living under one roof with one budget.
this is a must read for a better look at what we're told and what it really is. republicans make solutions sound so simple if we just tighten our belts and let them be the ones enjoying the elusive American dream, the analogy is spot on and more of a eye opener and educational piece to what our problems are and that what we hear as common sense solutions are just common among the list of how to fix without fixing anything for dummies by the republicans

who have managed to fool their base into a loop of nothing and they cheer and race to the voting booth armed with no plan no specifics not even who they are voting for really is primary guy or general election guy and who will he be post election guy.

what i'm saying is if we don't think and act for ourselves the one who gets to do it for you may very well not give a gnat's crap about you or your problems.  listen to the rhetoric it's a verbal road map x doesn't always mark the right spot of preferred destination. recognize

Someone has to tell Ben Carson: A War on What's INSIDE Women is a War on Women

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/08/28/1416127/-Someone-has-to-tell-Ben-Carson-A-War-on-What-s-INSIDE-Women-is-a-War-on-Women?detail=email

Ben Carson at an August 27th campaign in Little Rock

At a campaign event on the steps of the Arkansas Capitol in Little Rock, the candidate took a shot at leaders who “are always trying to stir up trouble” by driving “wedges” between people.
“They tell you that there’s a war on women,” he said. “There is no war on women. There may be a war on what’s inside of women, but there is no war on women in this country.”
emphasis mine.
So, let's see.  There is no war on women's hearts, livers, lungs, kidneys, intestines, etc. All of the things that are inside women that are also inside men, there is no GOP war on.  Period.
What does the GOP focus on?  Women's reproductive organs.  The uterus.  The cervix.  The vagina.  The fallopian tubes.  Etc.  All those women things that separate the INSIDES of women from men.  Planned Parenthood even has an interactive photo to show fools like Carson what the insides of a woman look like and a long list of what the insides comprise.
If there is a war on the INSIDES of women, there is a war on women.  Period.  Biologically, what is inside women is what separate women from men.  It is this biological fact that the GOP wants to control completely and utterly.
So, a war on the vagina?  That's a war on women.
A war on the uterus?  That's a war on women.
A war on the cervix or fallopian tubes?  That's a war on women.
If the GOP is engaging in a war on the insides of women, that is a war on women.
One would think that a person who has gone to medical school like Carson would know these basic facts.  Is he an idiot?   Does this man have dementia?  What has happened to him that he does not know what is inside women?
Ben Carson is by far, IMHO, one the most uninformed and idiotic candidate on these issues.  His past completely defies the shit coming out of his mouth these days. Is he so desperate to be the Herman Cain of this cycle?  Seems so.
A war on the inside of women is a war on women.  Somebody with some sense needs to tell Ben Carson.  Perhaps his wife or a doctor friend.
when i first heard about this yesterday  i wondered was this guy afflicted with some kind of Savant Syndrome is he a rain man it takes a certain intellect to be a neurosurgeon and a certain absence to make the completely idiotic statements he does that is not who needs to be a leader imagine things he would say to foreign leaders that his party hates on and the epic irony of it all he's their number 2 pick for primary makes me want to holler a whole rack of curse words.

would you not consider the phrase war on to let's say elephants for ivory tusk, big cats and other animals for their skin or something closer to home the open season on Black people all are relative to war being declared on them think about it.

The Real Fireworks Are About To Begin

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/08/27/1415992/-The-Real-Fireworks-Are-About-To-Begin?detail=email

Donald Trump is not just going to propose raising taxes, and propose raising taxes on the rich, but he is going to argue that too many of the rich and large corporations have been acting like "takers."
Hoo-boy!  Let the real fireworks begin:
Republican front-runner Donald Trump began to flesh out his economic vision for America, and it includes raising taxes on the wealthy.
Trump said during a Wednesday interview on Bloomberg’s With All Due Respect that he would like to change the tax code.
Trump sat down with Bloomberg Politics’ Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, and surprisingly enough, he voiced his support for scrapping the carried-interest loophole, which tax hedge-fund profits at a lower rate than usual income. Eliminating the Wall Street tax break been a priority for many Democrats for quite a while.
Trump went on to complain that multi-millionaires are currently “paying very little tax and I think it’s outrageous.” After stressing his support for middle-class tax breaks – the Republican candidate has not yet outlined any specifics – Trump added, “I know people in hedge funds that pay almost nothing and it’s ridiculous, OK?”
As the NYT reports, Trump has also proposed imposing a 35% additional tax on carmakers that ship jobs overseas, and
Mr. Trump has also been critical of hedge fund managers and the favorable tax treatment they receive. Calling them “paper pushers” who he says often just get lucky in making their money, Mr. Trump said last weekend that their taxes should be higher while the middle class should have their taxes reduced.
Hedge funds are not the only business groups that Mr. Trump has singled out. This month he lamented corporate “inversions” — when an American company acquires an international company so it can relocate its headquarters to a country with a lower tax rate.
“They have no loyalty to this country,” Mr. Trump told NBC. “And we have to do something.”
This could be really significant.  Everyone knows that the modern Republican party is an awkward, fragile alliance between disaffected White Southern voters largely advancing the economic interests of an extremely wealthy elite.  A self-financed, maverick billionaire - who holds the most xenophobic positions in the race - while indignantly attacking the core Republican shibboleths of "trickle-down" economics and uncritically worshiping the wealthy?
Trump is cherry picking issues that are truly of concern to the majority but keep this in mind republicans can sanction him and obstruct and Dems who might agree have to consider the whole picture he can't do any of this without the rest of his multi factioned party and Progressive help.

he's created a reverse dynamic proposing what his party has traditionally not supported or even whispered and what Dems have been trying to accomplish for decades unsuccessfully do to republican resistance, this is a move to try and bring in Liberal voters but don't bite he can not do any of it even if Dems backed him

because republicans and more so the right wing won't permit their status quo to be tampered with he's trying to zoom us. recognize all this conflict between him and the right wing i believe is just act one in the their play the greatest thing they can do is convince us that they are not doing it, hmmmmmm  wasn't there a similar line in the movie "THE USUAL SUSPECTS" about the devil??????????? just sayin

Tales From Behind the Counter: "This is why we need trump."

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/08/27/1416038/-Tales-From-Behind-the-Counter-This-is-why-we-need-trump?detail=email

This is a story related to me by a coworker. We worked together over the holidays before being transferred out to different stores. She related this to me a couple days ago.
She was in her store in the morning, with a customer at the counter whom she was assisting. A pair of ladies walked in, well dressed, well-off, both white. They immediately became impatient, tapping toes, drumming fingers, huffing and puffing. Eventually the first customer offered to step aside and browse the store so the associate could help the ladies.
They approached and asked for batteries. The associate said (paraphrasing) "Yes, ma'am. We have AAAs and AAs." Now, I'll pause here for a moment to explain that this associate is of Hispanic descent, though she was born in the US and speaks PERFECT English, not even a hint of an accent. The lady became irate, simply repeating that she needs batteries.
Then, out of nowhere she says, "You see, this is why we need Trump." And went on to complain about every racist, false talking point about Hispanics you ever heard. Taking over the culture, stealing jobs, you name it.
She asked for a piece of paper so that she could write down the word Battery, and draw a picture. The associate informed her that we didn't carry that type of battery. She insisted we did, continuing her racist comments, insisting that she knows that RadioShack sells these batteries.
Oh, did I forget to mention, we don't work for RadioShack. We work for a retail chain that sells video games and other related electronics. The associate explained, "this isn't RadioShack ma'am, this is _." The woman continued to berate the associate and insult her intelligence, suggesting that she somehow did not know the name of the store she herself worked out. "I'm sorry ma'am, the RadioShack that was here closed down about six months ago."
Now it gets bizarre. The woman asked the associate to step outside the front door, at which point she pointed to the sign above the door and demanded that the associate read it, specifying that she should "sound it out." The associate read, very slowly, the name above the door, which was not RadioShack. Only then, did the woman look to the sign herself.
Her eyes went wide, and without another word walked away, got in her car and peeled away as fast as she could.
short and sweet both Trump and the two..................you feel that one in are the posters for ugliness of racism and bigotry and how stupid it makes those who practice it.  wish they could have named names embarrassing those who still can be embarrassed is great weapon in the war of intolerant butts.

the audacity of arrogance equals you deserve to sit in a corner wearing a dunce hat.

NYT Krugman Calls Out Entire GOP Field

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/08/28/1416245/-NYT-Krugman-Calls-Out-Entire-GOP-Field?detail=email

Today's opinion piece by Paul Krugman of the New York Times was seriously good.  I would consider it a must read in understanding the mind of the average Republican.  It is so important to understand the world we live in.  It is of even greater importance that our leaders, that "We The People" elect, understand that world too.
Republicans have latched onto ideas that are just not true.  They are in a box.  They put themselves into this box and there really is no way out.  Why do they not have a way out? Because in order to get out of the box, they have to admit that they were wrong.  I do not think this will ever happen in your lifetime or your childrens lifetime.
Krugman takes us back to 2009 and explains what happened.  He further explains how Republicans in their haste to make political hay, latched onto ideas that sound great at political rallies but have no relation to actual reality.  The reason Krugman's article is so important is that our pensions are gone, we have to have a 401K, we have to invest ourselves now and this requires a modicum of financial literacy.
If you had listened to Sean Hannity or Glenn Beck in 2009, you would have run for the hills and put everything in gold.  Gold is not a bad thing, it is only that they were literally screaming at you to buy it at 1800 an ounce plus 20% handling fees.  These fees paid for the commercials, made the people selling it rich and made Beck and Hannity very, very wealthy.
On the Progressive side, the opinion was opposite.  It was that the economy is a mess.  Let's get a stimulus going, get people hired and back to work.  Even though the stimulus was not enough, it gave people confidence that the government was doing something and that things were going to get better.
A progressive investor would have seen this and stayed the course and not sold all of his stock at the bottom.  Those that stayed the course have gotten their money back even after this current downturn.  Republicans, on the other hand, sold their stocks, ran for the hills and missed out on the bull market.  This has made them even more angry than they already were at that Narcissistic Dictator Obama.
They are full of rage and are supporting ideas, like the sequester and government shutdowns, that are very damaging to our economy.  Krugman just lists everything these guys support and how wrong they all were.
Here is a sample
And Republicans, across the board, predicted disaster. Deficit spending, they insisted, would cause soaring interest rates and bankruptcy; the Fed’s efforts would “debase the dollar” and produce runaway inflation.
None of it happened. Interest rates stayed very low, as did inflation. But the G.O.P. never acknowledged, after six full years of being wrong about everything, that the bad things it predicted failed to take place, or showed any willingness to rethink the doctrines that led to those bad predictions. Instead, the party’s leading figures kept talking, year after year, as if the disasters they had predicted were actually happening.
i'm really beginning to like this guy it's good to see and hear those who realize the total unAmerican attitude and agenda by republicans and their right wing sponsors and not wanting to be silently or boisterously on the wrong side of history. the way the generational tolerance is changing those who oppose grand kids will probably disown and disavow any knowledge of their hateful existence.

that full of rage thing is self induced lose the selfishness and intolerance and ideological faux religious right crap teachings of bigotry and separatism and the rage levels will drop like western water levels because of their denial of climate change induced droughts wake up everybody and heal yourself or suffer the consequences.

Cartoon: Trumpacabra

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/08/27/1415896/-Cartoon-Trumpacabra?detail=email

There is a frightening creature roaming around your animal pen... It's the legendary bloody goatsucker Donald Trump! He attacks Latino voters constantly, but his diet includes women, immigrants, newscasters and prisoners of war. And he takes no prisoners! Beware, because the Trumpacabra is coming for YOU next!

he says he's not a politician but a predatory businessman, he brags about deals he supposedly won never disclosing the tactics used to get the alleged wins but if you look at the empty folder things he as claimed as his plan taking this job and that trade agreement back from China and Japan and making Mexico pay for his wall he sounds like Al Capone planning the take over of the mob.

he also implies he's smarter than everybody he says is smarter than everybody in our gov't which would make him the de facto smartest man in the world and since he's claimed HE WAS Presbyterian and Protestant religious affiliation but doesn't say he isnow, wouldn't be surprising if he extends that thought to the Heavens.
but he also has great relations with the church as he does every living and inanimate thing of earth.

I’m Just Going to Say It: Hateful. Racist.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/08/27/1415942/-I-m-Just-Going-to-Say-It-Hateful-Racist?detail=email#

In recent weeks, there has been a lot of political debate among the Republican presidential candidates about immigrants and aspiring citizens in our country.
And frankly, it has become ugly and dangerous.
Please take a minute to hear my thoughts below.
In Solidarity,
Rich.
i think i've noticed something the more we call thenm out as racist and bigots the more they deny it but their actions and vitriolic rhetoric amps up even higher after each denial they become so enraged that i guess they know we know and it's no longer on the DL the insanity it takes to keep that state of mind 24/7 is the catalyst for their self exposure, emboldened by their arrogance is what gives them away.

it's hard to admit it and even harder for those duped by it to just except who they are and what part of reprehensible they don't get.  life would be so much better if you didn't constantly remember to hate, who to hate and the buzz trigger words never mind why you should be doing all this it's irrelevant and your only focus is practicing the ritual but keep in mind you will never master it you will get good but there will always be a tell delivered by the haters themselves and we will always recognize them as such. ironically the haters will ultimately be the hated ones.

On Rightwing Christians: Have you noticed something odd about this Ashley Madison scandal?

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/08/27/1416041/-On-Rightwing-Christians-Have-you-noticed-something-odd-about-this-Ashley-Madison-scandal?detail=email

Since the Ashley Madison scandal broke, I have noticed a distinct lack of condemnation from you rightwing christians.
Where are all the youtube hate videos against the subscribers practicing adultery?
Where are the droves of protestors picketing AshleyMadison.com like Planned Parenthood?
It's pretty clear where Jesus stands with cheating on your spouse. In case you missed the Commandment of "Thou shalt not covet they neighbor's wife", Jesus laid it out:
In Mathew 5:27-30 he said if you even look at another woman with desire, then cut out your eye because it's better to "lose one of your members than to have your whole body go to hell".
Lust > Cheat > Hell. Pretty straightforward. There were other things He directly condemned, like divorce. Yet He was most clear on His biggest pet peeve:  excess wealth.
Yet those are three things that today's rightwing Christian doesn't care about.
Massive greed?  That's called "prosperity gospel" now.  The parable of Lazarus?  They root for the rich guy in hell.
Divorce? Adultery? Child Molestation?  whoopsey-daisies. No big whoop.
But gays and abortions?  That's where they burst arteries!  Two issues Jesus said NOTHING about. Both of those things existed during His time.  If they are the epitome of evil, you'd think they'd at least warrant a mention.  But nothing.
So what about actual sins that are specifically mentioned and given no leeway at all in the Bible?  Meh.
In fact, on Mike Huckabee's old cheesy talk show five years ago he featured Ashley Madison's CEO to tell "his side" of the story.  Yes, Mike disagreed with what Ashley Madison was doing but then added "I could be wrong".
Seriously, go to 11: 43 of this video.  That's what he said.
There is no ambiguity in the Bible about adultery.  And yet, while the Bible says nothing about abortion, here is Huckabee defending Paraguay's awful decision to force an 11-year old raped by her stepfather to bear a child.  Here is a man who said he would not be against using federal troops to stop women from getting abortions!  Here is a man calling for mass arrests over gay marriage.  This is the same guy who convulsed with anger over gays being allowed to be happy.
In fact, Santorum, Huckabee, Cruz, et. al have said nothing about the AshleyMadison scandal or a word of condemnation to their millions of subscribers. Maybe they are worried about alienating some supporters, but that means their virulent rants on nonissues become even more meaningless.   It's almost like they are full of something....
Clearly there is no righteous, religious hate espoused for those who abuse or leave their marriages like there is for those who are in stable, homosexual relationships.  Despite what the Bible says, these guys SWEAR to me that they know exactly who Jesus hates.
And I find it absolutely amazing that it always happens to coincide with their preconceived prejudices.  Go figure.
I'll bet if Jesus said to love their enemies, they'd find a way around it.  (Oh wait...)
So you will have to excuse me when I roll my eyes over your next meltdown.  Where is the indignant condemnation now?
Where is your moral outrage against these sinners?
You'll rally like crazy against things not even in the Bible, but ignore and stay silent about AshleyMadison.
I guess it's hard to condemn something that you probably have an account with.
i like this and agree i also wonder if the Bible was really the basis for their attacks or is it their usurping the words to fit into their ranting.  you gotta admit curious religious right evangelicals have not stormed the scotus or their locals to immediately stop and prosecute the Ashley Madison people as prostituting and pimping,

makes the last sentence even more possible,  why risk exposing yourself or your compromised leaders of state and party it would bring the whole religious right thing down and their base well some would turn a blind eye others would desert the singing ship.

i've come to the conclusion that they don't worship the same God as most of us or they do and are just pitifully horrible with getting it right, keeping with Mathew this should be noted and really used as the focal point of who and what a party tries to put before you for consideration of your leader it comes down to which fruit you like bad or good to be on your table??????????????????????

Donald Trump has tied up that racist vote. David Duke just endorsed him.
David Duke, the anti-Semitic former Ku Klux Klan leader, praised Republican front-runner Donald Trump for his immigration policy proposals and said Trump is “the best of the lot.”
This tops off a week where Trump sneered “Go back to Univision” to Jorge Ramos, the Hispanic Walter Cronkite, and then had Ramos thrown out of the press conference by what appeared to be bouncers at a strip club.
“My job as a journalist is to ask questions from the powerful, and that’s what we tried to do,” Ramos said, adding that he had on various previous occasions tried to set up an interview with the presidential candidate. (Trump posted a picture of a handwritten note from Ramos to his Instagram account. The note included Ramos’ phone number.)In an interview with ABC, Ramos said that another responsibility of being a journalist is to “denounce” the “dangerous words and extreme behavior of Donald Trump.”
You go, Jorge!
i agree we need to know if the one bidding for the big chair at lease is not a hater or bigot you can't gov't a diverse nation if you only give a dam about a few that vote for you, that posting of another number is juvenile grade school playground tactic.

BFFs Cruz And Trump Will Make Joint Campaign Appearance At Islamophobe Rally

The two biggest fascist authoritarian candidates in the GOP field are Ted Cruz and Donald Trump, and now they're making the partnership official.
The Texas GOP senator’s campaign announced Thursday that he’s invited Trump to join a rally planned at the Capitol soon to pressure lawmakers on opposing the nuclear agreement. The rally is sponsored by Tea Party Patriots, Center for Security Policy, and the Zionist Organization of America.
The organizations mentioned in that paragraph are all members of the Ginni Thomas "messaging group" known as Groundswell, which is still active, but much farther underground. Trump's racist nativist drumbeat comes straight out of their messaging materials, and it has long been their goal to drive a stake through the heart of the 2012 Republican post-mortem which argued for a reasonable immigration policy. Trump has also been quite vocal about his support for Senator Jeff Sessions, whose staffers were part of Trump's recent rally in Alabama where supporters shouted "White Power!"
I have long believed that Trump is the stalking horse for Cruz, based upon his message and the strength of support he's receiving from the very same groups who are promoting this particular rally. This rally announcement confirms that hypothesis.
Trump draws the crowds, which is why he's helpful. At some point, I expect him to exit the primary and throw his support behind Cruz.
more and more haters rallying to Trump however i don't see that last strategy as a real thing Trumps head bigger than a hot air balloon, megalomaniac, ego braggadocios character flaw would not allow him to let himself be upstaged, there would be nothing but laughter and shame attached to his name and he knows it.

that said there's this other big problem to that making sense his party hates him!!

one thing i can't remember hearing about or seeing the few times i watched o'reilly just so i know which way to run when the crazies get released, was Trump over talking him and putting him in the catbird seat for a change and guess what no shouting back or angry sneers or calling of names it was like bilo was afraid of him or maybe following orders not to mess with the ratings grabber.

A school tragedy narrowly averted: 14-year-old boy held his classroom at gunpoint in West Virginia

Empty classroom

While the details about the tragic murder of two journalists in Virginia continue to unfold, new details have emerged of a tragedy that was narrowly averted in nearby West Virginia:
A 14-year-old boy held 29 students and a teacher at gunpoint in a West Virginia high school classroom on Tuesday afternoon before he released them after negotiations and surrendered, authorities said.
The boy's teacher, presumably unarmed, was able to de-escalate:
Barbour county schools superintendent, Jeffrey Woofter, credited the teacher for maintaining control when classes were about to change and praised the Philippi police chief for talking the suspect into giving up.
Woofter said the teacher talked the boy into not allowing the next group of students to enter the classroom.
“The teacher did a miraculous job, calming the student, maintaining order in the class,” Woofter said. He did not give the teacher’s name.
republicans well they would have preferred the teacher be strapped and the kids too film would show multiple bullet holes in the walls along with blood smears.  the 14 year old was responsive but the republican way would have him lying in a pool of his own blood and the teacher she and the kids would have to live with that the rest of their lives but republican justice was served and guns win another one. NRA high fives all around, ignorance is bliss, damn blissful in those ranks.

Gun Violence: NYT Editorial. Has The Media Woken Up For Good This Time?

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/08/27/1415903/-Gun-Violence-Has-The-Media-Woken-Up-For-Good-This-Time?detail=email

Is this what it takes? The NYT Editorial:
Killings of Journalists Bring Gun Violence to Dark New Level
It is an increasingly horrific fact of life and death in the United States that easily available guns offer troubled Americans the power to act out their grievances in public. This trend, dramatized in recent years by macabre shootings in schools, churches, movie theaters and workplaces, was taken to a dark new level on Wednesday in southwestern Virginia by a disturbed former reporter who chose not only to murder two journalists as they reported live for a television station that had fired him, but also to record and broadcast the crime on social media.
Many politicians will focus on the gunman’s troubled personality and try to cast this shooting as a summons for better mental health care, certainly not gun control. Yet that ignores a grim reality: the estimated 300 million guns in America owned by a third of the population, far more per capita than any other modern nation. Guns are ubiquitous and easy to acquire, as statehouse politicians, particularly Republicans, genuflect to the gun lobby to weaken, not tighten, gun safety.
They should be pointing out day after day the reality of gun violence across the US.
They should be pointing day after day how the NRA perpetuates this violence.
They should be pointing out day after day which politicians bow down before the NRA.
They should be reporting day after day the obstructionism at Federal and State levels that prevents any reasonable gun control legislation.
They should be pointing these out day after day, rather than just when something horrible happens.
Guns are used to justify an ever more militarized police.
Guns are used to justify police firing before any attempt at real policing.
Gun violence is used by some to justify ever more guns.
Arm the teachers, can there ever have been a more absurd statement in the history of humanity?
Guns are designed to kill, they are not a fashion accessory, that is their sole purpose.
One thing for certain is that the more guns that are out there, the more deaths will occur.
The easier it is to get a gun, the more deaths will occur.
Gun licenses
Gun registration and tracking
Waiting periods
Proper background checks for all gun sales.
Education that the be all and end all to personal security, is not a gun.
A gun is not cool
A gun doesn't make you special
A gun is designed to kill.
and there it is all you wanted to know about gun control but were afraid to ask or your 2nd amendment misunderstood rights meant more.  the republican right wing plays with words convinces those they can fool that the gov't is their enemy and infringes on "THEIR RIGHTS" giving them the path to promote 2nd amendment in their own special way that excludes any attempt to change the status quo.

Trump supporter aggressively confronted Univision reporter—'Get out of my country'

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/08/26/1415695/-Trump-supporter-aggressively-confronted-Univision-reporter-Get-out-of-my-country?detail=email

Unknown Trump supporter aggressively confronting Univision's Jorge RamosShortly after Jorge Ramos was escorted out of Donald Trump's press conference, a Trump supporter confronted the Univision anchor in the hallway, telling him to "get out of my country." Watch below for video and transcript of the exchange.
Transcript:
Trump supporter: You are very rude. It's not about you.
Jorge Ramos: It's not about...
Trump supporter: Get out of my country. Get out.
Jorge Ramos: This is not about...I'm a U.S. citizen too.
Trump supporter: Well, whatever. No. Univision, no. It's not about you (pointing in Ramos' face)
Jorge Ramos: It's not about you. It's about the United States.
Trump supporter: No, it is (unintelligible)
At that point a uniformed police officer stepped in between them and ended the conversation. Jorge Ramos was calmly pacing in the hallway with his hands behind his back, but the Trump supporter appeared to be increasingly agitated and aggressively pointing in Ramos' face.
this is obviously a mindset of a bigot was he instructed to shutdown any derogatory questions that put Trump on the spot or was it just the Hispanic reporter.  Trump lied and said he didn't know who the guy was but in the first tirade he tells the guy to go back to Univision so he clearly knew who he was and who he represented, more Latino attacks????  he also claimed the guy was ranting and yelling and out of control video shows nothing remotely like that.

as much as he claims to know he was too stupid to not say more lies when the cameras running. Duh
the first link is really nothing than a self serving narcissistic rant of his own greatness, and his impersonation of Chis Christie
