State Senator Forrest Knox (R-Altoona) has never been shy about expressing his thoughts on the role of government. From his support and work on a bill in 2013 post Newtown to put guns in schools, to his proposed legislation that would pay foster parents more if they were in a committed faith-based relationship with no extra-marital affairs.
Despite concerns that at least one of those plans would result in massive government overreach and unlikely investigative powers, Forrest Knox has long contended that he believes the role of government is "small".
Yesterday, in a Clean Power hearing, however, Senator Knox implied that maybe the other role of a state government should be to encourage revolution against the federal government.
For Forrest Knox, the role of the EPA as a whole is overstepping the bounds of the constitutional grant, and as a result, musing about the role of a revolution might be fitting.

Sen. Forrest Knox alluded to the American Revolution on Thursday when he recommended that Kansas fight new federal rules on clean power.
Bryan Lowry, reporter for the Wichita Eagle, followed this up to try and get some clarification:
Knox responded by asking whether “over 200 years ago any lawyer recommended the unsafe thing of opposing the king.”
Asked about his revolutionary comments afterward Knox said “this is only one issue. There are many issues where the feds are overstepping.”
“Industries will not take the chance of opposing the federal government. Sooner or later a state legislature will if it keeps moving this way,” Knox said.
read between the lines to republicans gov't is the bogeyman because of it's power to regulate them and protect us from them.  they are quick to blame gov't and slow if at all to admit the dangers of the things they want deregulated.

two most important EPA AND FDA both are consumer protection agencies that keep the money hungry big business monster in check they try to sell it as them impeding progress and if we just get them off their backs we will once again be the land of milk and honey not so cleverly leaving out they are the consumers of that milk and honey we the people a crust of bread and such not even cake.

EPA air, water, and ground, FDA the very food you plan to eat today the drugs you and i take daily.  republicans think it a bad idea to have these protections in place why because a dollar means more than "ALL LIVES MATTER"??????????????????????????  you know the sad thing is their base breathes that same air, drinks that same water, grows in that same soil and takes the same medicines and eats the same foods and votes for them anyway.

STUPID is, seeing and hearing the truth and still believing the lies. recognize
