At least 56 med school students at the University of Utah are asking Professor Richard Farnsworth for proof:
“We saw his signature on the amicus brief that said that legalizing same-sex marriage would cause 900,000 abortions,” he said. “[That] didn’t make sense to us.”
Dr. Richard Farnsworth was among 100 medical professionals who signed an amicus brief to the Supreme Court, arguing that same-sex marriage is bad for families.
They claim legal gay marriage will lead to an additional 900,000 abortions and 600,000 more children being born to unmarried women.
Hard to believe any such evidence exists for these outrageous claims. The students aren't asking for him to be fired, but they do want to know why he would sign such a letter.
“Really, our intentions are to promote good science and to promote good medicine and good healthcare for everyone in Utah, regardless of age, sex, race religion, gender identity or sexual orientation,” Petersen said.
this is the America we thought we were coming back and challenging the absurdities made by those obviously right wing affiliated. i would like to know not so much why he signed it that IMO is obvious he's a bigot along with those other signee's but where, who and how and show documented proof of a study by reputable groups as to the legitimacy of their claim. times are killing bigotry and racism it is no longer a considered as en vogue even among long time haters they are beginning to change their thinking and gaining some self respect a not be associated with those who oppose.
remember the Scalise guy republican who claimed he didn't know he was speaking to a David Duke White Supremacist ? he tried to deny because he knows it ain't that kinda party anymore supremacist are not America's darlings at least by over half the population. as long as we continue to make some noise get in the faces of those who oppose and VOTE and support our fellow American citizens and renounce those that hate especially in the name of God.
