Ever since he announced his resignation, the field has been abuzz with questions, asking why. The Holy Father is a position for life, with the last resignation being that of Pope Gregory XII in 1415. Information had already come out that Pope Benedict sought immunity before resignation, and will be under protection after his resignation. But this leaves us with more questions.
A lengthy investigation by the Italian newspaper “La Repubblica” has discovered that the origin of the resignation has little to do with health, but instead to do with another word, “influentiam,” Latin for Blackmail. From kidnapped girls to child abuse, the Catholic Church has been riddled with scandals for decades.And no matter how much the public was assured it was not happening, the cover ups continued. A blackmail ring, however, would explain the entire situation. Through the use of bribes, coercion, and blackmail, even the Pope’s own instructions could be ignored, and the corruption would continue.
"power corrupts absolute power corrupts absolutely". i really don't understand why the Catholic Church does not relax laws that are obviously not being adhered to. Birth control 98% have and are using it, they pay out millions of parishioners donations to families of assault victims and then move offenders to another hunting ground, it's like keeping the greater of two evils in favor of relaxing ignored tenets for years, who knows how far back it goes i would think the beginning high priest and religious figures have always had their clique and power above all others in their flock no matter what religion.
if you are going to ignore the violation of your tenets wouldn't it make more sense to do away with what has been already done away with by not the church but its congregations? beats secretly paying off for sexual abusers and instead of help send them to prey on others. and where are the parishioners why are they putting more into a faith they don't honor, or is it that it's easy to be forgiven weekly of all your sins??
organized religion of all faiths are basically corporations or solr proprietorships ever notice the leaders of individual churches all use the same speak not the Bible verses but the sermon content. enough said.
