Sheriff Victor Hill is the untouchable Teflon Don of police officers. He's not only the highest ranking officer in Clayton County, Georgia, home to metro Atlanta, he's fully and completely above the law.
Previously indicted on 25 charges of corruption, Sheriff Hill found a way to beat the case.
Now though, he's facing something altogether different. On Saturday, May 2, Sheriff Hill was 50 miles outside of his jurisdiction, several counties away from where he is sheriff. Inside of a model home in Lawrenceville, Georgia, Hill shot a woman in the stomach. She has been in critical condition, fighting to survive, ever since.
Here's where it gets doubly crazy: He called 911 and reported that he accidentally shot Gwenevere McCord in the stomach during a training exercise. When the local police and medics arrived, Hill was allowed to leave and go home as if nothing happened.
Now he refuses to speak to investigators or the media about what happened. The district attorney of Gwinnett County, Danny Porter, claims it's not all adding up.
What investigators found inside the model home raises questions about the sheriff's explanation in his 911 call, Porter said.
"The statement on the 911 tape was that they were doing police training exercises," Porter said.
The placement of some items at the scene, he said, "sort of make you think about that."
"I want to look at that."
Police have not released the 911 call, and Porter said he couldn't go into specifics about the evidence found at the scene.
i'm kinda shocked that GA. would let a Black sheriff get so high on the hog like the pig he appears to be, maybe that's it color don't matter as long as you are a rogue cop with the same values as the White sheriffs of other counties one big happy good ol boyz club replete with a token wannabe as corrupt as the rest.
On Wednesday, Hill was charged with a misdemeanor recklessness charged, paid $300, and was released—again without saying a word to investigators.i'm surprised they didn't take him down beat him then shoot him he must have one hell of a reputation and that's nothing to be proud of. Clayton county is primarily Black population and small White that explains this guy police of all stripes have the potential to be corrupt way too many embrace it.
