This measles thing is no joke—just ask the CDC.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Tom Frieden on Sunday warned that the U.S. could see a "large outbreak" of measles.
"We are very concerned by the growing number of people who are susceptible to measles, and the possibility that we could have a large outbreak in this country as a result," Frieden said on CBS's "Face the Nation."
Meanwhile, this guy continues to practice medicine.
"We should be getting measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox, these are the rights of our children to get it," said Dr. Jack Wolfson of Wolfson Integrative Cardiology in Paradise Valley.
Wolfson does not believe in vaccination. "We do not need to inject chemicals into ourselves and into our children in order to boost our immune system," he said.
When Wolfson was asked about cases where children can't get vaccinated, like 3-year-old leukemia patient Maggie Jacks, he responded, "As far as I'm concerned, it's very likely that her leukemia is from vaccinations in the first place." He then blamed the Jacks family for exposing their daughter to measles by bringing her into a medical clinic.
"I'm not going to sacrifice the well-being of my child. My child is pure," he added. "It's not my responsibility to be protecting their child."
CNN asked Wolfson if he could live with himself if his unvaccinated child got another child gravely ill.
"I could live with myself easily," he said. "It's an unfortunate thing that people die, but people die. I'm not going to put my child at risk to save another child."
wow, this guy really has issues or ideologies we can recall with world dictatorial leaders who had no concern about their "subjects" maybe they should give a psych test before the Hippocratic oath hell they used to do it before you got a drivers permit, don't know now haven't driven since 1996. sad thing is some of his victims i mean patients new and old will agree and deliberately put their kids at risk. i know this is presumptuous of me but that sounds like the ongoing phenomenon of science deniers you know like those who deny global warming because it snowed last week.
if you do decide to patronize this guy if you get there and his daughter is there back out the door take your kid and run for your life, because it just became in jeopardy.
