As reported on the Addicting Info blog.
This may be the most offensive comment a Republican has made to date about Obamacare. Remember when Ann Coulter claimed Obamacare killed her friend and Politifact rated that as “Pants on Fire?” I think Politifact has another story to claim. This time, it isn’t from a brain-dead pundit. It’s from a brain-dead member of Congress.
Cynthia Lummis, a Republican from Wyoming who serves in the House of Representatives, claimed that her husband’s death could have been avoided had it not been for the glitches encountered on the Obamacare exchange website, healthcare.gov. Lummis claimed that even though her husband was enrolled for insurance in the D.C. health insurance exchange, they were not enrolled in Obamacare.
Addicting Info notes that Cynthia Lummis has somewhere between $20 Million and $75 Million in assets. She is one of the richest members of Congress.
She also back-peddled somewhat from her statement, noting that her husband refused the last test his physician recommended.
Addicting Info finishes (but you should read the whole article):
Obamacare wasn’t designed for people who have $20-$75 million. It was passed so the rest of us, who are either self-employed or have no access to insurance, can afford health care. It’s not the fault of the law that Lummis’s husband chose not to get a potentially life saving test – if he chose not to get the test.
Congratulations, GOP. You now have another desperate, health care-hating Republican, lying to the American people to drum up fear over the non-existent “death panels” your side keeps harping on and on about.we know she got cheers from the right when she ranted against ObamaCares but did they cheer when she was exposed for the liar she is? some will never hear the true and will wander around spreading the elephant dung to who ever will listen. this is where the rich on the Progressive side could do the most good, keeping tabs on the republican misleading misinformation than purchase rebuttal ads to be played right behind them. that is fair let the people hear both sides the lies and the truths ours normally come with documented proof theirs just come and go like a mindfarts.
Urban Dictionary: mindfart
www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=mindfart
A sporadic, random and unintended remark discharged orally as a result of the mind's need to facilitate a release of bottled up thoughts.
so many lies to tell so many little minds to store them in, actually that seems to define the republican speak for the last 6 years. another good reason we should stop electing rich people to govern us, they will never vote against anything that has to o with them departing with even some of those riches but the sure as hell will take your food stamps, cut your assistance check and deny you extended unemployment pay next time they sink the country and return us to pre 2009, that's taking their country back also
