On this week’s edition of “Real Time with Bill Maher,” host Bill Maher and a panel made up of former George W. Bush advisor David Frum and TV hosts Joy Behar and Chris Hayes discusses the Republicans’ and tea party’s monomaniacal obsession with defunding the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.Maher described the fixity with which men like Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and House Republican Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-TX) have pursued their dogged path of voting repeatedly to overturn the health care overhaul with “a cokehead’s obsession.”“This holding hostage” of the U.S. and world economies and the functioning of government, Maher asked, “Is this a fair tactic?”Hayes and Maher lamented that President Barack Obama hasn’t done a better job of selling the policy to the public. Frum countered that Obama is afraid something will go wrong.Hayes slammed conservatives and the Koch brothers for their strange, off-putting commercial urging young people not to sign into Obamacare featuring a waxy Uncle Sam head opening and closing a vaginal speculum.
as we have always looked to the next generation to try and make things better, well this time we are looking for that generation to step up to the plate early and save the health care that will be a definite in their future if not now.
failure to promote this by joining in could set this back maybe more than 50 years this time, which means they will be sitting where we are now trying to accomplish the same thing, this is real assurance not insurance that they will be not have to go through what we have.
to forget history is to repeat it, wake up everybody, is it right wing induced insurance rip offs or ACA that is the law of the land. sure Pres. has done a deplorable job of messaging it or have we been inundated with right wing lies so long and so frequent we don't bother to fact check, republicans said they were not going to allow fact checkers to dictate their policy, (paraphrased) if not fact checkers who are you going to trust those who are proven liars with agendas that don't have your name on them?
“They’re trying to sabotage the social contract that makes the whole thing work!” he said.Maher said he finds it really perverse that “the vaginal ultrasound people” are putting out the ad. “They’re the ones who are in women’s vaginas.”The message that young people are really going to take away from the ad, however, said Maher, is that “Republicans are creepy pervs who are always thinking about women’s lady part
now that is a good venue for getting the message out, not like the republican threatening sport venues not to support your health care, let me say this again it's "YOUR HEALTH CARE" to keep or your current ins. co. win and your fleecing.
