A little less than half of Americans believe that climate change is proven and that it can be attributed to man-made causes, according to a CNN/ORC Internationalpoll released Tuesday.
Forty-nine percent said climate change — which was addressed by President Barack Obama during his second inaugural speech Monday — is settled science and that it's caused by emissions from cars, power plants and factories, double the number of respondents who indicated that global warming has not been proven.
It's also a little more than twice as high as the 24 percent who said that climate change has been proven but is not linked to man-made causes.
But according to CNN, the 49 percent who believe climate change is both real and a man-made phenomenon is down seven points from 2007.
IMO i believe the drop in sensible belief is do to Americans hurry up and wait syndrome we want what we want when we want it. good things come to those who wait is a virtue of patience. we wait for ever for something all the while wondering where it is, so when it arrives we are still looking by then it has morphed from an ideal to a crossword puzzle written in Chinese arithmetic. we have a tendency to be our own worse enemy's. we waited for a Savior when he came we called for his crucifixion.
there have been other events in history not as special but influential none the less and what do we do, criticize, defame, deny, and defeat our own existence of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
do we deserve what we continue to reject?
