Sayonara, Sununu

http://bruni.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/10/26/sayonara-sununu/

this guy was asked to resign in 91 from the WH  so what now if he can out hate the rest he'll get in on Romney';s wagon?
At what point will Mitt Romney and his campaign staff gently escort John Sununu away from the television cameras, tuck him into a cozy room somewhere, make sure he has adequate provisions and lock the door tight, so he can’t get out until November 7th?
They should have done this long ago, and if they had, they and we would have been spared the shallowness and insult of Sununu’s remark that skin color was the reason for Colin Powell’s endorsement yesterday morning of President Obama over Mitt Romney.
Sununu offered this high-minded perspective during an appearance last night on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight.”
“Frankly,” Sununu told Morgan, “when you take a look at Colin Powell, you have to wonder whether that’s an endorsement based on issues or whether he’s got a slightly different reason for preferring President Obama.”

“What reason would that be?” Morgan responded.
“Well, I think when you have somebody of your own race that you’re proud of being President of the United States, I applaud Colin for standing with him.”
I’m sure General Powell is positively brimming with gratitude for, and basking in, that applause, and as he does, I’ll throw a couple of questions Sununu’s way. One: is it fair, in accordance with your logic, for me to assume that you support Romney because both of you are white?
my best guess is yes he has prove himself to be a racist from the klan old school.
Several hours after Sununu made his comments to Morgan, he more or less retracted them, issuing a statement in which he said that he respected Powell's decision to endorse Obama and did "not doubt that it was based on anything but his support of the president's policies."
seems they all make these odious statements then say "it was me" "thats not what i meant"
"Well, I think when you have somebody of your own race that you're proud of being President of the United States, I applaud Colin for standing with him."
sounds pretty clear to me he's trying to create or embellish a right wing wrong stereotype about Blacks and other ethnics voting in his mind "their kind". no mistake here or there.
