Rick Santorum Says Schools Only Celebrate LGBT Marriage

Former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) said schools are only allowing books that foster acceptance of LGBT parents but not of “moms and dads and marriage” when he spoke to Boston Herald Live Tuesday. The Republican presidential candidate also said that children with LGBT parents were more likely to be do badly in school and that LGBT people hurt the economy.
For example, I know in the schools in Massachusetts, in the grade school, they teach these books and plays that say, ‘Suzy has two moms.’ It’s okay to put a book that says, ‘Suzy has two moms,’ but you can’t put a book in there about moms and dads and marriage and tell people how important it is to be married before you have children. Then you’re moralizing. It’s okay to say, ‘Suzy has two moms,’ or ‘Johnny has two dads,’ but you can’t say marriage is an important part of having a stable and healthy economy …
Some LGBT teachers would likely disagree with Santorum about the acceptance of LGBT teachers, much less books that feature same sex couples. Last month, Omar Currie, a 25-year-old elementary school teacher, left his school after he read a book about two princes who fell in love and parents complained. Currie said he left because the administration did not seem very supportive, especially since they said the book fell under “controversial topics” that required parent notice.
Santorum went on to say:
You really need, if you’re going to improve the schools, talk to any teacher or any administrator and they’ll say if that child comes from a stable family that emphasizes education, that the chances of them being successful is much higher than if the opposite is true. Kids from other families can do well and many are heroic and do great but the failure rate is much higher so yes emphasizing the importance of family will be an important part of this …
A 2013 brief filed by the National Association of Social Workers, American Association for Marriage, Hawaii Psychological Association and Family Therapy and American Psychoanalytic Association, laid out three factors that contribute to good parenting, including available economic resources to support the child’s development, the quality of relationships among adults in the child’s life and the quality of relationships between the parent and child.
A complementary brief by the American Sociological Association presented research on same-sex parents that showed that for academic performance and cognitive development, children with same-sex parents have similar educational outcomes to children with different-sex parents, if not better.
you can't call this anything but those whining about their religious freedom being obstructed and other religions trying to take over their beliefs and make them except theirs.  isn't that exactly what he is preaching but with the real perpetrators left out and assigning blame of imagination to those they oppose?????

in their own twisted way they see what they are doing they know it's wrong but rather than relinquish the prophecy of hate they assign in their imagination that Godless act to others as what, their surrogates that they can then point to as the guilty ones, deviously sick???
