The video below shows two open-carry activists, both "demonstrating" their Second Amendment rights. Both were approached by police, but the reactions from police could not have been more different. To be fair, the first was filmed in Oregon and the second in Nevada. Police training can vary, but the contrast is something to see for yourself. White men politely asked for identification, black men held at gun point and six police cars arrive on the scene within a minute or two.
And let's not forget that Nevada, where the young man was held at gunpoint, is the very same state where anti-government, open-carry advocates flocked to Cliven Bundy's side for weeks and actively pointed weapons at law enforcement, never being charged with a single crime:
but we hear all kinds on whining on the right that we are unfairly demonizing police they've got a tough job, there's no open season on Black men and women and children yet almost every week there is a story of how police out of control kills one or the other or all. and the courts and DOJ never seem to be able to prove what is right in their faces because of nothing more than denial. denial only magnifies the problem if we don't get real it will balloon out of control and my friends that is exactly what the republican and right wing want. why do you think all these carry laws and different treatment of those they want to be armed and those they don't.
the vitriol and scare mongering aimed at a base that like a thirsty horse leading him to water you don't have much of a push to get him to drink. keeping them under and misinformed only serves as the grease that eases them into the mode of hate aggression creating a year round open season on those they oppose. look at what the Bundy brigade got away with literally taking sniper aim on federal officers what they got was a lot of republican support and plenty of press. what is wrong with this picture appears to fall on blind eyes and deaf ears.
how are we any better than those countries we demonize, how long before congress passes a beheading law????? this is why we hear nothing about Blacks and carry it's to dangerous and the law obviously is not meant for them, double standards abound.
