China is the world’s largest greenhouse gas emitter, so small decreases in its emissions seem like monumental feats when compared to other countries. According to a new analysis, in the first four months of 2015, China’s coal use fell almost 8 percent compared to the same period last year — a reduction in emissions that’s approximately equal to the total carbon dioxide emissions of the U.K. over the same period.
The analysis, published by Greenpeace and Energydesk China, reviewed data from a number of sources, including China’s industrial output, and found that China had reduced its coal output by 6.1 percent in the first four months of 2015. The research team calculated that the drop in coal use translates into a nearly 5 percent drop in domestic CO2 emissions.
this is another shameful thing for America the great we are not able to get these kinds of numbers because congress denies the science for profit to get at these numbers especially since our population is smaller then China's would incur regulations to manufacturers and big business (Koch's) and that is not what they pay all that bribe money for. with all the slamming they do of places like China et al it appears they care more about their people and clean air and water than American right wing and republicans.
if they would take a note and stop demonizing everybody and pointing fingers and take a look in the mirror nothing would change like their autopsy but maybe since there has been ship jumping of late more will relize they don't want this affilliation to be their legacy.
