Florida Gov. Rick Scott is continuing his bizarre descent into total Obamacare Derangement Syndrome. Here's the latest: Back when he said he had changed his mind and was for Medicaid expansion in his re-election campaign, he was actually brilliantly deceiving the Obama administration. You really can't make this shit up.
[In 2013] Scott said his mother's death changed his perspective and he could no longer "in good conscience" oppose expanding health care coverage to nearly 1 million Floridians.
Scott conceded this week that was all a ruse. He now says his support for Medicaid expansion was a calculated move designed to win support from the Obama administration for the state's proposal to hand over control of Medicaid to private insurance companies. At the time, he denied that his support was tied to a deal with the federal government.
He got his privatization scheme, so fuck you 1 million Floridians! Now he's not just opposed to Medicaid expansion, he's suing the federal government over it, because they want to give him tainted Obamacare money instead of other federal money.
he obviously doesn't plan to run again in Fla. but then again we are talking republican voters who seem to reward those with in office criminal offenses and stabbing them in the back with re-election. with all exposed about the general skulduggery of the republican party there are still millions who will pull the lever or punch that hanging chad all the way out for a man/woman who by every account but their own has to interest in their health or well being.
where is Sigmund Freud when you need him, it defies nature to intentionally put yourself in danger of your own survival, self preservation is the first law of nature. with so many elderly retiree's you would think healthcare was numeral uno on things to do everyday, not cheer and vote for doom and gloom on yourself. recognize
