Aaron Slator is now the former president of AT&T's content and advertising sales for the U-verse TV services wing of AT&T. What cost him his job managing billions of dollars? Probably the recently $100 million discrimination lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court. It must be pretty bad to get a top executive fired.
The images in question were found on Slator's phone by an assistant who was asked to transfer data to a new phone, according to the lawsuit filed by Knoyme King, a 50-year-old black woman who worked for Slator.
The lawsuit said one of the images, apparently of an African child dancing with the caption "It's Friday ..." followed by a term offensive to African Americans, had been sent in a text describing it as an "oldie but a goodie".
kudo's to Knoyme King brave move but necessary calling it out where and when you see it.  we've been seeing lots of high on the hog people exposed in the racist world they obviously live in from sports team owners to CEO's to those elected to serve all either in their districts or states, these persons were not created overnight which begs the question of what are they talking about take their country back, it never left it's always been what it was.
Miller said the lawsuit contends that King was passed over for promotions and given inferior raises because of her race, that she was mistreated and that attempts were made to have her leave the firm. King has worked 30 years for AT&T and is still employed there.
we have a Black Pres. and others in position mostly through his efforts those from the right wing don't count because they pitch that agenda. colors skin deep but we are access by that dynamic as well as what we support in the public arena.  my mobile service is from ATT now going on 11 years they have been very good to me as far as charges and customer service.  i think that the accusations by Ms. King came from middle management and immediate supervisors.  hope the suit gets the attention as i would expose the racial bias in the upper echelons of big business.
