I guess the North Carolina Board of Governors educational planning committee for the University educational system didn't think these programs were important to our education of our young adults, or warranted due to "market forces"...

Yes sir, this is your state government on A.L.E.C./Koch brothers/Art Pope control.  This is what the "Free Market" world looks like, and it isn't just limited to how many different types of toothpaste, or canned beans you have available at your local grocery store.
this too is laying the foundation for right wing privatizing they say the care about education but for years they talk of dissolving the dept. of education, they do nothing to relieve the enormous tuition fees that burden students if they can manage to graduate before they get the first job they are in debt, voting they make it illegal to vote where you attend you must go home to vote more expenses.  just look at the above list of the usual suspects and it will be clear America is on the auction block and we are just collateral gravy the means to and end with out us they only have empty buildings and mind farts with no one to exploit.
