After Jim Boggess put a sign in his deli window promoting "White History Month" business dried up.
Within a few days, a number of outraged customers had made their feelings known to the owner, and it wasn't long before business started drying up. Although Boggess took down the sign and promptly apologized to Bhakti Curtis, a neighbor who had first noticed it, the feeling of ill will created by the incident forced the deli to close shortly afterwards.
Now Boggess is struggling to cope financially, and has posted an appeal on the fundraising website GoFundMe. Claiming that the response he got to his sign was unfair, he has called it "Jimbo's white history sign gone bad." He tells his readers that a growing list of creditors are demanding payment for bills at his business and at home which he is no longer able to cover. "I don't think I deserve this just because I wanted to be proud of being white and be able to celebrate my heritage like everyone else does.
it's a dying ideology we are seeing proof of that daily those hanging on will go the way of Mr. Boggess out of society they can no longer depend on like persons to hand with them many see he futility of trying to keep hate alive it's to hard and you become the one who dies by what they lived by.
