Tom and Georgia Barnett in the car they won for being

Tom and Georgia Barnett own and operate 24 Burger King stores and were recently awarded "Franchisee of the Year" by Burger King, an award given for outstanding reviews and inspections. Burger King rewarded Barnett Management with a Rolex watch and the keys to a brand new car. Instead of rolling around town in their new convertible, Tom Barnett and his partners did something more meaningful:
Barnett and the other franchise owners sold the car and watch, added more of their own money to the pot, and divided it up among their employees.
More than 100 Burger King employees received bonuses, which ranged from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars.
Employees were overjoyed:
"I just couldn't believe it. I was in shock," Charity Callahan, a 15-year employee, told 3TV. "It was almost an entire month's worth of pay for me. They made us all feel appreciated."
this is a really good thing for these guys to do, it promotes loyalty and generates a good work ethic and that my friends result in happier consumers sitting at their tables.  the Walmarts of the world would do themselves a solid if they just took a hint, this story gets out and those that patronize his stores will only grow.  recognizing that your employees are what got you there and contrary to republican myths no you did not build it yourself you and your staff built it as long as one remembers where it came from they can only excell as will their faithful employees.  God Bless them
