Congressman Luis Gutierrez dropped a simple fact during the House Judiciary Committee a couple of days ago. While republicans denounced the President's executive action on immigration reform and tried to pretend that they are not holding the Department of Homeland Security hostage, Mr. Gutierrez had this to say:
This is a very perilous place for my friends in the majority. Because you have 5 million American citizen children who are never going to forget for a generation how it was you treated their mom and their dad. How it was you treated their mom and their dad; and if you treated them in a cruel manner.
You can take that to the bank.
each generation not just Hispanics but all are getting away from the bigotry the republicans are trying to make law that they learn how to do it in school. desperation is making them do all sorts of horrible things and they are inflicting them on the children IMO because they will be the one's left to cohabitate with those their ancestors hated and tried to encourage them to follow suit. kids to day and for awhile now are seeing not the horror or terror they made their schoolmates out to be but kids like them that like the same things do the same things are the same things color is skin deep and dialect and language is dictated by where you grew up hate racism and bigotry are dictated by who you grew up with.
