Bloomsburg University kicked Joey Casselberry off of the college baseball team after he wrote a tweet calling 13-year-old Mo'ne Davis a slut. Forever the first-class girl, Mo'ne and her coach called the university asking them to reinstate the player after he publicly apologized for his gross words.
On Friday night, Casselberry posted a tweet saying, “Disney is making a movie about Mo’ne Davis ? WHAT A JOKE. That slut got rocked by Nevada.” The tweet was made in reaction to the news that Disney Channel will be making a movie about Davis.
By Saturday night, the former Bloomsburg player’s Twitter account was deactivated, though his offensive tweet was captured via screenshot and circulated, sparking anger and shock. Bloomsburg University announced the first baseman’s release via Twitter saying it was “deeply saddened” by Casselberry’s tweet and that “his words do not represent Bloomsburg University.”
While the university declined their request to reinstate Casselberry, it says so much about Davis that she'd even make such a call after being attacked online by a complete stranger. Let's keep on rooting for Mo'ne!what can you say i'm so proud of my people who have been defamed by racist rants that profanely reflects where their minds really are but being busted and brought before the public eye they still finf forgiveness for those who wronged them. remember IMUS calling the Rutgers basketball woman's team "nappy-headed ho's" after va big victory. he lost about a week off loss of a few sponsors but he's still on the air much like Bill O'Reilly right wing media does not drop a cash cow in favor of consumer integrity.
