There are people who say there is no such thing as "White Privilege" in this country. That we don't have a Police Bias problem, we have a problem of people being disrespectful to the poor, endlessly set upon Police Officer.
Joseph Houseman, a 63-year-old white man who, back in May, stood with a rifle on a street in Kalamazoo, Michigan. When police arrived, he refused to identify himself, grabbed his crotch, flipped them the bird and cursed. They talked him down in an encounter that lasted 40 minutes. Houseman was not arrested. The next day, he got his gun back.
He also, while carrying a loaded weapon while intoxicated, had no ID on him at the time.
Tamir Rice the 12 year old killed in Cleveland, Ohio never got the consideration afforded this guy nor did he do the things resisting, verbally abusive, obscene gestures nor was he under the influence like this guy because, HE NEVER HAD THE CHANCE if he were inclined to do so after all the cop identified him as a 20 year old. did i mention he was Black?
open carry or not he was served and protected and White. note we never hear about Black citizens when it comes to open or concealed carry wonder why they aren't eligible or they know how dangerous a law that's not meant for therm can be?
