Cam Edwards, host of the National Rifle Association's news show, claimed that after Hurricane Katrina residents of the New Orleans neighborhood Algiers "were looking out for each other by walking the streets armed with firearms." But according to a federal hate crimes indictment and numerous media reports, after Katrina white gun-toting vigilantes in Algiers targeted African-Americans with racially motivated violence.
Edwards made the comments about Algiers during "The Armed Citizen Files," a daily segment on his news show Cam & Company that uses anecdotal accounts of self-defense with a gun to create the false impression that guns are used more often to prevent rather than commit crimes. The Katrina comparison came during a discussion of a recent self-defense shooting in Algiers. Edwards praised locals' "attitude of being able to protect yourself and the ones you love," and claimed that individuals used firearms after Katrina to make sure "there was no looting, no robbing, no burglaries."
these are the people that NRA supports not your neighbor gun owner who is responsible, not tooting my own horn but I said this looked awfully familiar White radicals being armed and given the right to kill by laws designed just for that and aided by carry laws even in the churches, wonder how those who carry in their church justify it the hold carry thing is a game to them they get to flip the birdie at the gov't in their heads but the gov't is what is giving it to them how stupid is that? all leading to a mass confrontation fed by the tainted red meat the republicans fill their troughs with.
republicans give you more guns more death and ER's, Dems give you health care to help you after the right winger shoots you, they help you when you're down republicans don't hear see or talk to you until election year then they talk at you with lies and misinformation. to choose that alternative really suggest there are big time problems that republicans deny exist and refuse to help fix them because they said they don't exist, so they are perfectly within their fantasy world to deny you by denying the Pres.
