A man died Thursday afternoon after entering the ticketing area of Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport and shooting an AR-15-type rifle into the air. The shooting prompted panic at the airport's Terminal B.After the unidentified gunman opened fire, an air marshal fired in his direction, KHOU-TV reports, citing a source with the Houston Police Department. The gunman then, according to KHOU, pulled out a pistol and shot himself in the head.
"We just saw the dude walking in, and he was already suicidal because he put the gun to his head," a McDonald's employee who works at the airport told KHOU
my first thought, how do you get an AR-15 into an airport sure it's named Bush and it's Texas oh my bad.
Houston Police Department spokesman Victor Senties told Reuters, however, that it's not immediately clear when the man died or if he shot himself, as initial reports indicate."Right off the bat there were two shots, about an eight to 10-second delay, two more shots, a short delay, then a fifth shot," witness Dale Howard told KHOU. "There was a bunch of screaming, a bunch of people running, people coming down the escalator the wrong way getting away from it."
this is sounding more and more like a Keystone Kops trailer, if bunches of people ran someone saw what happened unless of course it was in his waistband.
