Sadly (and predictably), Sarah Palin and Fox News have ended their three-year relationship, as reported first by Real Clear Politics. Fox will not be renewing her contract as a contributor. The former reality star, half -term Governor of Alaska, and fleeting GOP hopeful signed on with Fox News in January 2010. Salon reports that as of last week, Palin was still in contract negotiations with Fox.
Fox Executive VP Bill Shine released an official statement to The New York Times:
“We have thoroughly enjoyed our association with Governor Palin. We wish her the best in her future endeavors.”yeah sure they had lots of good laughs from the family that keeps on giving.
Stelter speculated that:
“Fox almost surely offered a lesser annual amount to Ms. Palin in the recent negotiations, since four years have passed since her unsuccessful bid for vice president. Fox had no comment about the negotiations.” (New York Times)
Last year, Palin used her Facebook platform to complain about Fox’s decision to cancel her appearances during the third day of the Republican National Convention. She last appeared on Fox in December, but continued diligently to update her Facebook fans on her activism.
that right wing arrogance puts another one in the dust. no one ever told her nor did she read anything that told her "you don't bite the hand that feeds you?
