Romney Memo Unskews TIME Ohio Poll

TIME poll of Ohio this week put Obama up 5 in Ohio, in line with other recent polls by major news outlets, but Mitt Romney's campaign assured supporters in a new memo Thursday that things are still looking up.
"Some public polling shows the true nature of the race," the memo by political director Rich Beeson and Ohio state director Scott Jennings read. "Rasmussen this week showed it tied at 48%, Suffolk tied at 47%, and Angus-Reid tied at 48%. Our view is that the race is a dead heat with Romney on an unmistakable upward track."
As for that TIME poll? Too many Democrats, the Romney campaign complains: "Anything more than D+8 [TIME was +9] shows a survey to be vastly out of touch with today’s political reality – Obama isn’t as popular, his base isn’t as energized, and Mitt Romney’s supporters are poised to shatter voter contact records in Ohio." They added that Romney is winning independents in the same poll, a sign they think heralds an eventual win.
The TPM Polltracker Average, which includes all of the above surveys, puts Obama up by an average of 2.6 percentage points.
to me i'm curious about Gallup being so distant then the rest has something changed for Gallup?  should all polls be collectively averaged out because they obviously are not polling the same demographics.
telling your already under informed base that your on top when you're not is just a hoax to keep up spirits and the hate juices. doesn't matter to them they are so indoctrinated by right wring concentration they just see it as the norm and the base rants on.
