Mitt Romney is pressing his attacks over President Obama’s changes to Medicare in a new ad which uses his Democratic opponent's own words from the 2008 campaign.
The new television ad uses a clip of Obama hammering then GOP opponent Sen. John McCain for proposing reductions to Medicare spending.
“In 2008, Candidate Barack Obama attacked John McCain for proposing cuts to Medicare,” says the narrator.
Obama has countered that the reductions were to projected Medicare growth estimated over the next decade and that the savings came from targeting waste and fraud.
With Ryan’s selection to the GOP ticket, the House Budget Committee Chairman’s proposals to shift Medicare to a subsidized private insurance model for those under 55 has faced heated attacks from Democrats who claim the plan would slam seniors with higher out-of-pocket healthcare costs.
it's unfortunate we have an opposing party who continues to fabricate the words and the implications of the Progessive plan for medicare, and for those citizens who can't see the truth for the republican forest of lies.
we have to continually rebuked as all media has the brazen lies, those who cheer this are just as reprehensible.
when you try to twist the truth into right wing lies there will always be some form of media with the rebuttal, the fact they push this in the face of repudiation shows their propensity to lead with deception and govern with no impunity, dangerous you might think, hell yes it is.
