Conway, in an effort to walk that line, has emphasized his allegiance toward the coal industry and opposition toward Obama administration regulations designed to lower emissions from coal-fired power plants. Conway released a pro-coal ad in September boasting "he stood up against Obama" when he sued the Environmental Protection Agency over the coal regulations.
We knew this was true in 2010 when Democrats ran away from the single greatest achievement in decades in the form of the Affordable Care Act. We knew this was true in 2014 when they ran away from the achievement when the Medicaid expansions went into effect. And in 2015, we still have Democrats who don't understand what is essentially a maxim: run away from the President and his achievements, you lose. Period.
And what did Republicans do? They tied Jack Conway to Obama. Just like they did Allison Grimes when she campaigned on "I am not Barack Obama" or when she refused to even acknowledge voting for him.
If voters want someone who will campaign on standing up to Obama, they will vote Republican.
this seems to be the collective fear of Dems where there is a equal or more republican base voters they divorce themselves not just from Pres. but the entire party platform for fear of those who are not Progressive voters but in doing that they off the republicans a template to defeat them and beat down Pres. too while the Progressive voters see them as DINO traitors and stay home.
what good is being a Dem if you cater to the republicans questions what were your real motives for running for office to audition for a place in the do nothing republican congress??????????????
Ms. Brazile has it spot on if you run away from not only your leader but the tenets of your party you are perpetrating a fraud on the American voters that put you there and no longer should enjoy and look forward to the perks post office offers. if they want fraud on our side here it is sitting in congress with the vrest of those who betray we the people. despicable them
