Courtney Wilson and Taylor Guerrero press conference

Courtney Wilson and her girlfriend Taylor Guerrero were on day two of their first vacation to Hawaii when they stopped by a grocery store near Oahu's famed North Shore to pick up snacks.
While in the store, the vacationing couple say they were holding hands, being playful with each other and when Courtney kissed Taylor on the cheek, they heard a man yelling at them from across the store to stop it. The man was Honolulu police officer Bobby Harrison, who was off duty, but still in uniform.
He followed them to the check-out and threatened to arrest them. The confused women were startled by his behavior and called 911. While on the phone with the dispatcher, Officer Harrison got physical:
She said she was on the phone with dispatch when Harrison grabbed her arm. Guerrero then tried to step in.
"I got punched in the face by him," Wilson said. "I split my nose open. We were on the ground."
Both women were arrested for assaulting a police officer and their vacation turned pure nightmare. After three days in jail, the women posted bail and were released, but with the condition they could not leave Hawaii until the case was cleared. They ended up having to sleep in parks or with family friends and strangers they befriended in Hawaii.
The Honolulu Police Departments says they are investigating, but the in-store video from the grocery store has curiously disappeared. The women filed a federal lawsuit this week.
i would think they would want to get this out of the public eye as soon as possible they are sending a message that effectively should kill a good portion of their tourist trade by LGB&T'S and those that support them that this is not people tolerant spot.  the longer they allow "investigation" continue the more negative press they create.  hate laws maybe not that far fetched Hawaii is an American state subject to scotus federal laws and rights, IMO clear violation of those rights break out a civil rights lawyer too.
