It's being reported that yesterday's attack on a police officer, in Millis Massachusetts, was completely fabricated by the officer himself.
Millis Police Sergeant William Dwyer made the announcement Thursday, a day after the police department said they were looking for a gunman who was reported to have fired at a police cruiser.
Police initially said a suspect on Wednesday afternoon fired 2 to3 shots at a Millis officer, who returned three shots of his own.
The police car crashed and caught fire. The officer wasn't seriously hurt.
It sounded pretty horrifying and went with the recent traditional media attempt to turn the tragic deaths of law enforcement officers into some kind of new and terrible fad. But the officer's story wasn't real it seems.
“We have determined that the officer’s story was fabricated. Specifically, that he fired shots at his own cruiser as a plan to concoct a story that he was fired upon,” Millis Police Sgt. William Dwyer said. “The evidence indicates the shots were not fired by a suspect, and there is no gunman at large in or around the town.”
A massive manhunt for the alleged gunman was launched. The neighborhood was immediately locked down while police units, including a SWAT team, K-9 officers and a Massachusetts State Police helicopter combed the area.
this just goes to show there is nothing that should be put pass the police stories of their alleged encounters with those they killed or those that mysteriously disappears and leave no trace. result some guy gets picked up for being available to charge falsely,  how many tax dollars was that??????

potentially facing charges just doesn't sound right there should be arraignment the next day with conviction and incarceration or otherwise just status quo, another day at the office.
