Kim Davis claims to have a solution which would allow her to not issue marriage licenses to same sex couples while allowing other clerks in the office to do so.
“She has a very strong conscience and she’s just asking for a simple remedy, and that is, remove her name from the certificate and all will be well,” Staver said. “That simple remedy has simply been ignored by the court and by the governor and that’s what should have been done.
Currently marriage licenses are being issued temporarily without Davis’ signature but Mat Staver has categorically stated on her behalf:
“They are not worth the paper they’re written on,” Mat Staver said outside the Carter County Detention Center, where Davis is being held on a contempt charge.
Perhaps a bit of contradiction here?
sounds like a threat, should the court violate all licenses issued without the bigots signature and would that be appeasing haters over American citizens seeking the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, is hateful discrimination in the name of God really a thing??????
Why should the Governor spend hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars to convene a Special session just to allow one County Clerk to violate her Oath of Office?
After all the Governor certainly cannot implement a change like this on his own authority or doesn’t Mat Staver realize this?
Kim Davis should simply perform her Constitutional duties as required by law and which she swore an Oath to do.
i would like to see a breakdown of expense as all Americans should demand anytime the republicans rail against something even as basic as disaster relief it always seem to cost millions of tax payer dollars so it is a no no. when it comes to witch hunts and inquisitions never a peep of those same millions of taxpayer monies that to date have been nothing more than a republican giant flushing sound.
they hold the purse strings you pay taxes why does it cost so much how many are i a special session can't be electric bill there's food and building personnel but still hundreds of thousands of tax dollars or is it a republican ploy to insense the people and demonize the effort just to pay someone to discriminate and break the law??????
