A judge in Tennessee has decided that a local couple cannot get divorced. Because gay marriage.
You read that right. According to the Times Free Press:
[Hamilton County Chancellor Jeffrey Atherton] said the Supreme Court must clarify "when a marriage is no longer a marriage." Otherwise, he contended, state courts are impaired from addressing marriage and divorce litigation altogether.
"The conclusion reached by this Court is that Tennesseans have been deemed by the U.S. Supreme Court to be incompetent to define and address such keystone/central institutions such as marriage, and, thereby, at minimum, contested divorces," Atherton wrote.
The couple are in their 60s, have been married for 12 years, and have no kids.

if we could look this specifically up the synonym would be ludicrous. it shows that there are no adults in the republican party just those over 21 i guess that's what makes them so easily corruptible and disloyal to oaths not administered by Grover Norquist or the republican party.
