Rep. Matt Salmon (R-AZ)

Hard-right Arizona Republican Rep. Matt Salmon took a press-friendly visit to an Arizona elementary school to explain to a group of second and third grade students how a bill becomes a law.
This may literally be the easiest public event a sitting congressman ever tasks himself with: It's always a good day when even the most partisan members of your audience can be won over with juice boxes. But because this is Rep. Matt Salmon, a hard-right House Republican, the presentation to the eight and nine year olds quickly went completely off the rails.
He asked the children if they knew what a nuclear weapon was. One disturbed father, Scott Campbell, told a local Arizona CBS affiliate that Salmon then asked, “Do you know that there are schools that train children your age to be suicide bombers?”
That's right, children. And they're hiding in your closet right now.
And because this is Rep. Matt Salmon, a hard-right House Republican, the story gets worse. To hear the principal tell it:
This conversation lasted about three minutes to which I interjected that we had time for a few questions in hopes to divert the conversation. At this point, the questions changed to a different topic; however, after a few questions the topic again turned to ISIS and terrorists; at that point, Ms. Kisler did a great job and interrupted the Q & A to thank the Congressman for coming to the classroom.
Nice attempted save, Ms. Kisler. Unfortunately, when a hard-right House Republican comes to your classroom to speak on pretty much anything you sort of have to figure the talk is going to turn to how all those little kids are going to DIE RIGHT NOW AT THE HANDS OF IRAN AND ISIS AND SUICIDE KIDS UNLESS THEIR PARENTS VOTE MATT SALMON!
it never fails there will always be a whack a mole or 2 or 3 popping up and showing the total tactless rhetoric as irresponsible and not even considering the audience were 8 and 9 year olds it never occurred to him that republican war mongering was not a good topic.

it goes to show they are programmed and can't reason enough to know when to go off message for the sake of children after all why they are no longer fetuses they have no rights they were kicked to the curb 9 years ago so screw 'em.  they have no concept of children as they have none for fetuses but the latter makes better red meat.
