As schools nationwide embrace campaigns to stop bullying, one well-liked Ohio teacher is out of her job after she tried to show one bully how his behavior was affecting the whole class:"I said 'do you know how your actions and your words are hurting other students and your friends,'" she said. "That's it."
Teacher Nicole Lemire says the boy blew his nose on other children's clothing, physically pushed kids around and used offensive language. But, that is not how the board saw it.
According to the board's official resolution, LeMire "asked students in her classroom to take turns saying how the student (“Student A”) had acted badly, violated rules or insulted them, and/or why Student A was annoying or had no friends. Ms. LeMire required Student A to listen to classmates' complaints and refused to allow him to respond or defend himself against potentially embellished complaints."
whoa this elementary aged kid doesn't know what those words mean let alone be able to act on them. this is more of the indoctrination of school kids into the right wing abyss of hate and bigotry and punishing those who dare to defy their hate.
The board said she had publicly shamed the boy, essentially bullied him, and voted 3-1 to fire the teacher, leaving parents and both current and former students teary-eyed and enraged. Parents at the hearing could be heard shouting the board members should be "embarrassed" and worried for their own jobs.
For her part, Lemire is going to keep fighting:
LeMire said she plans to pursue legal action against the district.
right wing ideology knows no shame if the kid was embarrassed it was because the rest of the kids were calling him out on his anti social actions putting him in the hot seat, what he did should be not tolerated in any school not supported as this board did. the fact that if he was embarrassed it shows potential for learning how to get along not get over on, snot on clothes can lead to disease and other medical issues the board made no mention of that and those parents of reasons should sue them for suborning child endangerment which is the crime above all and not committed by the teacher.
i know some will question if the school board was a right wing leaning entity well think about it ever hear of a liberal group go to such a discriminative length??
