Yeah. Those numbers are real.
A total of 111 people were killed by police in the United States in March of 2015. Since 1900, in the entire United Kingdom, 52 people have been killed by police.
Don't bother adjusting for population differences, or poverty, or mental illness, or anything else. The sheer fact that American police kill TWICE as many people per month as police have killed in the modern history of the United Kingdom is sick, preposterous, and alarming.
In March:
Police beat Phillip White to death in New Jersey. He was unarmed.
Police shot and killed Meagan Hockaday, a 26-year-old mother of three.
Police shot and killed Nicholas Thomas, an unarmed man on his job at Goodyear in metro Atlanta.
Police shot and killed Anthony Hill, an unarmed war veteran fighting through mental illness, in metro Atlanta.
I could tell 107 more of those stories.
This has to end.
when we talk about the murdering of so many Black people by police those who want to absolve any reality to that topic come back with "why aren't you not talking or rioting about the Black on Black killings that is a flagrant attempt to change and minimize the fact that police are murdering Black American citizens, when they stop than we get get to other problem with Black on Black crime hey maybe it will stop if they can get ahead in America equally.
the one thing we never hear mentioned that they are still American citizens. you hear right wing getting up set about drone striking Americans who leave and go fight with who they say are the worst people on earth against America. is it because MANY IN WHITE AMERICA ONLY SEE WHAT THEIR POWER STRUCTURE HAS PAINTED OF BLACKS SINCE BEING BOUGHT HERE??? or are they just avoiding the truth because they have to blame the ones who have been that that cork board they can pin anything on???
we hear thug and in defense one pointed out Tupac had "THUG LIFE" tattooed on his stomach when killed, AND, AND WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH THE AVOIDED TOPIC??? HE HEAR CRIMINALS, BAD BECAUSE OF NO DAD, UNINTELLIGENT, NO MORAL COMPASS, NO ONE AS A ROLE MODEL, NEVER GOING TO BE ANYTHING BUT DEAD OR IN JAIL. those things are all products of a failed society letting it's components whiter on the vine because they are not worth the time or investment because they've been saying that for centuries so it must be true. i you or your children were constantly assailed but that kind of rhetoric and reaction where do you think you'd be today?? keep in mind you can only lie to yourself for a few seconds then your sub conscious kicks in with the reality you dismiss.
