This, ladies and gentlemen, is the quintessential definition of white privilege.
Somehow, police found it in their hearts, in spite of being punched in the face, put into headlocks, and even shot in a full-on battle royale parking lot melee, to use restraint that black folk across America could only dream of in a far-off fairytale land.
Arizona investigators have released dramatic video of a Walmart parking lot brawl that left a police officer wounded, one man dead, and reportedly involved members of a Christian family band.
Enoch Gaver, 21, was killed in the fight in the town of Cottonwood, and suspect David Gaver, 28, was shot in the stomach and taken into custody. Police Sergeant Jeremy Daniels was hit in the leg by a bullet fired during the melee.
The police dashcam video, released Friday, shows Cottonwood Police approaching the group of eight people -- all identified as members of the Gaver family -- around a large SUV in a Walmart parking lot on March 21.
c'mon really this is the worst exhibition of policing in history or at least the second. this looks almost orchestrated was their a choreographer just stage left? the swings were like baby swings like old movies that you can see the punch was no where near the intended target. we can IMO safely say had this been a family of Black Christians in a band the litter we see on the parking lot would be those members. hitting cops, cops hitting them take 5 than start again no knees to the head or continuous punching till blood pours down the face no taser seemed like the only ones saying anything were the family. it was like a prize fight ref saying "let's have a clean fight, break when i tell you now touch em up".
no disrespect intended but it looks like those killed and wounded this time really was by accident, and the police just standing by passively observing no ambulance or flashing lights just AZ police looking out for their own and still ended in death and mayhem. imagine the a story line had it been a family of color. there is privilege in this country and it's beyond law designed for everyone.
