have we forgotten our past and are still repeating it maybe we should look back and take notes
I share many of the sentiments of this diary. I do not know that we can definitely say that constantly highlighting horrible Republican behavior is actually in any way productive.
You could make some assertions about some reasons this piling on is necessary; at the end of the day it is moot.
But, then I come across stories like this, that remind me why it is so hard to just ignore these assholes.
NH lawmakers brutally kill 4th-graders' bill in front of them.
In the spirit of learning by doing, students drafted a bill to learn the process of how a bill becomes law. They proposed House Bill 373, an act establishing the Red Tail Hawk as the New Hampshire State Raptor. Even though it passed through the Environment and Agriculture committee with a majority vote, some representatives were far from receptive.
Rep. Warren Groen, a Republican from Rochester said, "It grasps them with its talons then uses its razor sharp beak to basically tear it apart limb by limb, and I guess the shame about making this a state bird is it would serve as a much better mascot for Planned Parenthood."
You can tell me all day long that it does not advance a productive agenda to constantly call out Republican idiocy. And I will not disagree.
But at the end of the day, to stand by and do anything except vehemently denounce such atrocious behavior when it comes to light, that, to me, seems to be just as much of a crime.
this is the whole article it hits home for me you guys know this has become my purpose in life for my foreseeable future you know i'm physically challenged, brain tumor which is now pushing against the optic nerve on my one good eye, lung cancer, degenerative disc in my back, sleep apnea, asthma, and bouts with sciatica and i now am grossly overweight do to in activity and terrible diet. i'm home in my bedroom 90 % of each day i only go out when i have a VA appt. so this is what i do,
that said hell of a digression huh? i too at times feel it's useless to keep writing about the deviously unscrupulous acts and intended acts by republicans and the right wing financiers, when they keep getting elected by the most egregious methods like voter suppressing. then i feel if one person get's it and it helps them see what is going on especially one on the side supporting this travesty of governing and refuse to or just don't get it they are coming after them too. i would like to reach many more, i know i do but i don't know how or if it effects them positively.
my audience is on all 7 continents some places i've never heard of or remember from back in the day. so i'd like to think i'm being helpful and maybe answering what God put me here for with all my challenges i'm still able to reach out sometimes daily sometimes with a time out but the desire to keep hope alive and us keeping our heads to the sky.
