The Agenda Project Action Fund has come up with the most brutal, direct political ad I think I've ever seen.  It ties the Republican budget-cut mantra directly to the disastrous slashing of CDC and NIH funds, and then ties that directly to the Ebola crisis and needless human death.
Between you and me, I would like to see Mr. Obama going around the country linking conservative government to all of these problems, every week, in appearance after appearance, making the message slowly sink in.  "Our Ebola problem is the result of conservative cuts to the CDC."  "The rise of ISIS is the result of conservative invasion, meddling and blundering in the mid-east."  "Our crumbling bridges and highways are the result of conservative strangling of our transportation budget."  "The stagnant economy is the result of conservative strangling of the public sector overall."  Etc., etc.  I would like to see this message from the president and all of our leaders, on TV, every week.  But this ad -- this is a good solid start.

there is no surprise here we know republicans tried to cut the Ebola fund Pres. requested then when it got real and the backlash got stronger they caved an came up with the money.  but IMO it was more political posturing then caring about Africans and not feeling so much of a threat here, this is trying to put a finger in Pres.'s eye but by default again they are blinding us instead.

Lawmakers on key committees have allowed the administration to spend only a portion of the funds until officials provide detailed responses about how they plan to protect the U.S. military from being infected and their longer-term strategy, congressional aides said.
Other lawmakers expressed concerns this week that the delay could hinder the country’s response to the epidemic.
“One thing we know about stopping pandemics is that time is of the essence,” Sen. Chris Murphy (D., Conn.) said in a written statement. “Oversight by congressional defense committees must not hinder U.S. leadership in the fight against this public health nightmare.”
