Obama Issues Veto Threat For New Iran Sanctions During Nuclear Deal's Implementation

President Barack Obama said Sunday that he would veto any legislation enacting new sanctions on Iran as an agreement is met on how to implement the deal struck in November on the country's nuclear program.

In a statement released by the White House, Obama said imposing new sanctions would endanger efforts to implement the agreement.

"Unprecedented sanctions and tough diplomacy helped to bring Iran to the negotiating table, and I'm grateful to our partners in Congress who share our goal of preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon," Obama said. "Imposing additional sanctions now will only risk derailing our efforts to resolve this issue peacefully, and I will veto any legislation enacting new sanctions during the negotiation."

i keep saying we need to put a muzzle on republicans during times of foreign negotiation they are trying to hurt Pres., the country and us, 

this has gone on too long we have been Blessed that they are to stupid to see what they are doing and saying comes off to other countries as just what it is weak attempts to further influence our elections,

 but have they thought pass 2016 God forbid they win, they have re-soiled our reputation and are a laughing stock abroad because they always fail, and are saber waivers, 

they don't have an entry that could change the perception of what a republican is it they did 3 or 4 more would jump out the cake a and say something obnoxiously stupid within minutes.

A bill supporting new sanctions on Iran should the country break the deal has gained support in the Senate. A majority of legislators in the upper chamber back the potential measure, including Democratic Sens. Chuck Schumer (N.Y.) and Robert Menendez (N.J.). However, there is currently no plan to take up the legislation.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney had previously said Obama would veto an Iran sanctions bill, saying "we don’t think this action is necessary."

the republicans can keep trying to derail this admin and show they have no bonafides  when it comes to governing or they can just sit down, shut up, and let grownups do their work, that way they still hold their title as do nothing-est and their base sees they didn't do anything and America will once again shine.
