Mike Huckabee is very, very upset that people are reporting on (shudder) his thoughts about Democrats, wommenfolk, and libidos. As far as he's concerned it all happened because exactly two of the many, many reporters covering his speech briefly misinterpreted what he said. Well, all right then:
In an interview with Fox News's Howard Kurtz, Huckabee said NBC’s Kasie Hunt and CNN’s Dana Bash “erroneously tweeted” his remarks at a Republican National Committee meeting to make them mean "the polar opposite” of what he had intended. [...]Both reporters ultimately wrote follow-up tweets clarifying that the former governor had been characterizing Democrats..
i think it was all to clear, yes he was trying to derate Dems but those thoughts in that rant were his no way he could speak to what they night be doing but he can if he phrases it right but that too has drawbacks
Hmm. Then again, every other reporter and outlet seemed perfectly clear as to what Huckabee was saying, given that Huckabee was saying it on videotape:
“If the Democrats want to insult the women of America by making them believe that they are helpless without Uncle Sugar coming in and providing for them prescription each month for birth control because they cannot control their libido or their reproductive system without the help of the government, then so be it," he said.Making them believe sure sounds like Huckabee thinks women believe it, though he's careful to blame the tricksy Democrats for making women believe it. And we're still not sure if Huckabee understands that birth control isn't really about libido—it's not Viagra for women.Huckabee used to understand all of that just fine, but that was before the New Victorianism set over his party and American women having sexytimes at-freaking-all was considered the new abomination unto Mike Huckabee's base.
this is what happens when you self proclaim yourself "holier than thou", btw his prior treatment of the subject of contraception wouldn't that make him "UNCLE SUGAR" read article before this one
when you hear outrages stuff like this rest assured it's not on both sides.
they think if they claim we do the same crap they do it lessens the impact of the act FYI we don't and it don't.
