Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid let off a little steam earlier today when trying to get his colleagues to stop talking so Susan Collinscould speak about an appropriations bill. Tammy Baldwin called for order on the Senate floor, and when it would not come to order, Reid interjected to shout out, “Sit down and shut up!”
Reid has gotten rather testy with his colleagues recently, calling Ted Cruz a “schoolyard bully”and wryly saying Mitch McConnell “tried to make love to the tea party, and they didn’t like it.”But Reid’s also been on the receiving end of his colleagues’ snipes, including when John Boehner reportedly told him “go @!$%# yourself” during the fiscal cliff negotiations.
Beohner probaly went and cried afterwards that he was able to stand up to somebody. however Reid has proven to be abetter leader than Beohner, who really sounds fed up of late, is he getting ahead of the game and preparing to quit before they publicly humiliate him? would make him look really good as a right wing politician bucking the powers that be.
