Robert Zimmerman’s Post-Verdict Revisionist History Tour continues. And, as it’s been so far, it ain’t pretty.
I haven’t said much about Robert Zimmerman, Jr., George’s brother; self-appointed family spokesthug – um, person – up till now. I’ve wanted to, I’ve felt the urge; when I watched his stony-faced, dead-eyed, culturally clueless articulation of events the night of the verdict, I found myself wanting to punch my fist through the TV several times but, what with glass shards and the expense, opted to change channels instead, see what Gordon Ramsay was hollering about. Oddly, it made more sense.
But the fact is, Robert Zimmerman is EVERYWHERE. He takes his spokesperson role very seriously and, dressed up in a nice suit with his trim hair and his what-George-would-look-like-if-he-was-handsome face, he’s as ubiquitous as any of the attention-sucking bottom-feeding tabloid trolls we’ve come to know and hate over the years. Problem is, what comes out of his mouth is the stuff of pure, unadulterated ignorance and if he’s the best the Zimmermans have to offer, it’s no wonder their other boy shoots teenagers.
If you Google “the stupid things George Zimmerman’s brother has said,” you’ll pull up a very, very long list, one of the most egregious being his recent Tweet of side-by-side images of Trayvon Martin and one of the two black teenagers accused of killing a white baby in Florida:
