Article PhotoHere's more evidence of why Americans are sour on official Washington: 64 percent of the voters want President Obama and Congress to make job creation their Number One priority, according to the latest Marist/Morning Joe Poll, and only 33 percent say that reducing the federal deficit should be at the top of the agenda.
This indicates that Washington's priorities are out of kilter, since deficit reduction has dominated the debate in the capital so far this year.
"Closing the budget deficit may be the driving force in Washington, but the jobs picture is the public's main concern," says Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion.
i understand self preservation having a job, but if you've been following the news the right wing in it's inane drive to sink the Pres. have by default sunk Americans too, this should not be rewarded with another bite out of "we the people".
they promised jobs first in 2010 but they were actually their second first only to derailing Pres.,  he comes out with a jobs bill they ignore it and push a potentially unsafe keystone pipeline to get as they said 20,000 jobs Pres.'s plan would have brought 2 million, as usual their math was off.
The breakdown among voters by party affiliation is stark. Seventy-six percent of Democrats say job creation should be Washington's first priority, but 51 percent of Republicans say deficit reduction should be the focus. Sixty percent of independent voters want the president and Congress to focus first on job creation.
and so far they are still ignoring yiou, Pres. in a sense has no choice they the congress won't talk about jobs they only push what is beneficial to them while knowing it looks bad for Pres. with low jobs something they can twist and spin and out right lie as to why it is.  they do it then blame the Pres. their game plan all the while, let's just pray that it is not allowed to cloud the elections again. 2014
