this is a n brainier for most of us. the NRA claims assault rifle ban did not work, well using that logic armed teachers should not work either.
crazies don't work by presumed logic that's why there has been no solution put forward there is none each case is unique to itself, even copycats. secret arming only puts those not armed in the bullseye as well.
training is BS you can not be trained to kill in a few hours of usage instruction. when a crazed person confronts you in the middle of your 2nd grade class armed and wild eyed can you assure not freezing with fear, training never actually permits you to drop the hammer on a person prepared to do the same to you with impunity, you consider you, then the kids split seconds are eternity killers are not switch driven and if so would have to respond in nano seconds. you can't kill unless that instinct is in you. and surely not facind another with a bigger gun and that Michelle Bachmann look on their face. sorry.
