Well, the answer is inexplicable, and what do we do to stop it?” asked Huckabee. “Ultimately, you can take every gun away in America, and somebody will use a bomb. When somebody has intent to do incredible damage, they’re going to find a way to do it. People will want to pass new laws. … Laws don’t change this kind of thing.”

When asked by the host, “How could God let this happen?” Huckabee had an answer.“Well, you know, it’s an interesting thing. We ask why there’s violence in our schools, but we’ve systemically removed God from our schools. Should we be so surprised that schools would become a place of carnage? Because we’ve made it a place where we don’t want to talk about eternity, life, what responsibility means, accountability, That we’re not just going to have to be accountable to police if they catch us, but one day we stand before a holy God in judgment. If we don’t believe that, we don’t fear that. When people say, ‘Why did God let it happen?’ you know, God wasn’t armed, he didn’t go to the school. Maybe we oughtta let him in on the front end, and we wouldn’t have to call him to show up when it’s all said and done at the back end.”
if you were to believe him and God not "let in" then these kids were subject to whatever it was that brings them to kill making God not the problem but environment. i was taught God was everywhere even in the schools. as to why that's above my and his pay grade. Evangelical preachers ??? they were the same one's who blame weather disaster's on Gay people.
(On behalf of decent human beings, this writer would like to apologize to all of those personally touched by this horrific event, for the conduct of Messrs. Fischer and Huckabee, for their incredibly insensitive inference that God did not find their children worthy enough or God-fearing enough to spare from this devastation because they were not led in public prayer in their classrooms, and were not taught the teachings of Genesis in science. Please know that this is the minority view of a small group of small-minded individuals pushing an alternative agenda, and not representative of the whole of the human race. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families, and the memories of those innocent children will be in our hearts forever.)
