i had not thought about that before as a VFW member i'm pleased to hear of this true embracing of "ALL" of our combatants.
don't know of recent change of stance on Gay and Lesbian members. in the past not friendly. not up to date as i don't go to post because of physical problems, and mail does not reflect any prejudice's.For decades, Veterans of Foreign Wars posts have played vital roles in small towns throughout America. But in recent years, as World War II veterans have passed away, membership in VFWs has fallen drastically, and many posts have closed.Now, though, some are facing a possible renaissance, thanks to female soldiers returning from overseas.
